We've all got a multiple teams that we enjoy rooting for but what are some teams or players you tend to root against for whatever reason?
bem_te_vi [#2]FURIA, especially if they don't improve in Split 1, because I think they need a full rebuild ASAP.
Leviatán, because of the nzr situation + deciding to not give the LATAM T2 a chance and instead deciding to go for NA/EU imports.
You are acting like they had a chance. Their options were people that lost against 2G
grisx23 [#4]You are acting like they had a chance. Their options were people that lost against 2G
so what if they lost to 2g? players like sayonara lost to apeks yet they are still very talented or good. they should be developing t2 talent while keeping some latam t1 players for the experience.
bronzil_enjoyer [#11]pi chan trashies and y0y in shambles lil bro
CHADTic Gaming international trophies: 1
Turd2 international trophies: 0 (zero)
islaaa [#7]any team with annoying superfans that always clown on other teams
Agreed. Respect means nothing to them!
Liquid because this stupid dumbass fucking stupid fucking org cant build a good fucking roster with their infinite fucking pockets and theese stupid fucking dipshits keep fumbling good fucking players and play like complete fucking shit to then just go on the most fucking fluke run ever all the fucking time fuck this team from the beginning they never had a good fucking roster and won way too fucking much over the years for how fucking incompetent they are

valid crash out
grisx23 [#4]You are acting like they had a chance. Their options were people that lost against 2G
yea no thats not a good point at all, tier 1 teams performances are already not an accurate show of how good an individual is but tier 2 teams is a whole other level if youre using the teams success as a measure for the individual
egann [#5]2022 fpx + 2023 eg members for beating the shit out of us 💔
dude c0m specifically i love rooting against because of how much people glaze his mid ahh clutches.
Scarz, whatever this org does the scene barely benefited from it, except that one time when they almost won ascension. 4 iterations of import rosters and they're not stopping, it's as if this team hates the scene and doing all this out of spite.
Fadezis made me think he's the problem, but I was clearly wrong , it's the whole division playing pretend that's the problem.
LycheeBlade [#18]FNC, because I really disliked the org when they were good in CS:GO. Nothing against the players, though. If they were under a different banner I'd probably root for them
ive been a fnc fan since csgo released and was in pro play, also follow them in league and valorant.
what was it about the org specifically that u didnt like? i might not remember

Came here to say this^. Liquid are fucking cursed. Theyre consistently too terrible to ever have faith in, but just good enough to surprise you, mess up pickems and knock out teams people like.
Not to mention ruining good players. When Nats finally gets free it will be such a relief.

It's a little petty, simply put I disliked them because of how dominant they were. I hate any sort of dynasty in any sport and when I was really into CS:GO, FNC were the closest thing to a dynasty. I also wasn't a fan of the players, I thought they were a little too egotistical for me to like them even if they hadn't been a dynasty. The Overpass boost comes to mind too, though my opinion on that has mellowed out over time, mostly.
Thankfully Valorant has yet to have any sort of dynasty. FNC came close in 2023 and I really did not want a repeat of CSGO which is why I always rooted against them, but if they're average now then I won't be so harsh on them. Once a dynasty comes around though, you'll see me root against them all the time, regardless of which org it is
ionlyHave1Zuni [#32]Emea Pacific And Chinese teams
Vitality not included
Hey, what did Chinese teams do to you?

nah this is understandable tbh.
Im norwegian and most of us afaik became fnatic or NIP fans for obvious reasons.
We didnt really have any big csgo pros.
we had some in cs 1.6 tho but again sweden/russia dominated somewhat
I don't really hate or root against geng and vitality. But I don't really like them just cause of their bandwagon fans who hate on other teams using geng and vit success as support.
Also Too many koreaboos or kr glazers who hate on other regions in vlr nowadays make it hard to really support kr similar to china. Drx and edg are the exception for me tho.
JustHunter [#21]yea no thats not a good point at all, tier 1 teams performances are already not an accurate show of how good an individual is but tier 2 teams is a whole other level if youre using the teams success as a measure for the individual
Okay then let's compare teams accomplishment. Let's take Boom for example. Absolute dogshit in tier 2 and worst team in tier 1 right now. What now?

did you get any of what i said?
catNmouse [#48]why PRX?
guessing by every team he said they all have annoying fans. other than 100t
I used to dislike Giants. 2023 Champs Rhyme was lowkey sinophobic towards EDG. It's not even banter/trashtalk, Pre match press conference, post match interview & press conference, pre game hype video and half time match content he was HATING EDG and China the entire time. Fitinho was full body shoot hating EDG players in the match and full tear crying after the EDG loss. Nukkye was being a bad sport after the match is post match conference. Those 3 gone now, so all water under the bridge.
Now NRG, They made 0 internationals in 2024, sign 2 tier 2 players and a tier 2 coaches and ppl hype this up S tier winning trophies for whatever reason. Will be enjoying their downfall and not make a single internationals again. If s0m have any ambition left in competitive valorant, he should move to another org and make internationals.
any team that plays with a franchise spot and financed Riots horrible format, only teams i support are the ones that grinded and made it from tier 2 into tier 1 like a real org is supposed to do, nothing against the players tho, excpet for some protected ass paycheck stealers (Hype, Sheydos, mitch, khalil, Crashies, the entirety of Zeta divison)

NRG are so cursed i would actually support them more if they were playing under another org
catNmouse [#70]NRG are so cursed i would actually support them more if they were playing under another org
after their elimination, more and more people realise they're A team with comments saying rebuilding and needs time etc. People no longer fell for Classic NA overhyping teams and teams like mibr and Kru progressing. Good balance of 2 NA and 2 South Americas is good. G2 deserve to be considered good after their 2024, but NRG doesn't.

Accurate

Yeah. I was so sad when they made NIP break up (They don’t gotta do my boy fifflaren like that)
I was rooting against 2024 G2 since people overhyped Icy despite his lukewarm-at-best duelist performance. People kept caking on "Oh, he's opening up space" as if every other duelist does not do the same, but with a certain confidence and/or aggression that feels like a tip of the spear. Icy was propped up by amazing support, but now he is meh on EG.
This year, lowkey Team Liquid just because they've cheesed into a Top 4 position despite some shambolic strats - that Fracture comp they started off with was terrible.
And always gotta be against Team Secret since it's funny to rattle Filipino diehards. Their best players are all stuck in Tier 2.
DaDoar [#69]any team that plays with a franchise spot and financed Riots horrible format, only teams i support are the ones that grinded and made it from tier 2 into tier 1 like a real org is supposed to do, nothing against the players tho, excpet for some protected ass paycheck stealers (Hype, Sheydos, mitch, khalil, Crashies, the entirety of Zeta divison)
I seriously don't understand the Khalil hate given he is on the better end of his team. FURIA literally crashed out because Mwzera didn't use proper initiator util for 14 rounds - the Reddit post breaks it all down thoroughly

Just out of curiosity, how'd you feel about Astralis during their reign of CS:GO? Or were you just not all that invested/interested in the professional scene at that point?
NotSanity [#87]Just out of curiosity, how'd you feel about Astralis during their reign of CS:GO? Or were you just not all that invested/interested in the professional scene at that point?
i was not into the pro scene at that point. i was out of my CS phase and was playing a ton of other games, notably HOI4 and LoL (yuck). i did see the WarOwl video on that Vertigo match and I thought that was cool, but that's about the extent of my knowledge of Astralis.
if i were still into the scene, i'd probably have rooted against them. would seem hypocritical not to
BeastieBoys [#85]I can't really ethically cheer for Liquid just because of the allegations towards some of their players. I don't even care that it's like a chance that there false, there's a chance that they're beyond true and that harm would extend past being hated on by someone on VLR.
yeah and kamo isnt even good enough to justify those comments. if youre gonna be an ass be good at what you do ala kobe
GE. I see people complaining about LEV not staying true to its LATAM origins, and similar to this, I completely dislike GE. I get that T2 Indian Esports is very, very lackluster compared to other regions, but going for a team of full imports just doesn't seem to represent the entirety of a subcontinent with a player base.
There is a valid point that these players would damage the organization, because the results would be incredibly bad, which I agree with, but the main issue is that the indian organization has basically zero indian players, it just doesn't seem fair for the fans who want their players from their country to be represented even if the current GE roster right now is miles better than previous iterations.
