Anime fans downfragging me for spitting facts LUL mixwell confirms what i expected from this japanese bots https://clips.twitch.tv/ProtectivePoorPorcupineMrDestructoid-1NmovVv0iNJDreeX
I'm going to go with a 2-1 for CR and map 3 goes to OT. V1's win condition is vanity. He's always been a good IGL and has brought this team to this point. Now he needs to deal with the temporary addition of jammyz and one of his first LANs(iirc). I was never a diehard cs esports fan but from my knowledge, vanity began to shine at the start of the online era when he was on Chaos so he needs to perform on LAN and get jammyz incorporated into the team if V1 wants to win this. Also penny and Zellsis need to ball out. They are incredible players but are very inconsistent so if they show up, V1 should definitely win. Honestly, of all the teams in this tourney, I have the most questions about V1, especially about how they'll perform on LAN.
Well while you are correct that vanity improved in the online era, hes been to 16 LANs including a minor in 2019. While this is the biggest lan hes been to, he does have experience offline. I personally have CR taking this solely because of jammys. If they had wippie I'd consider this to be much closer and probably v1 taking it.
why you getting downfragged LULW. they play puggy but don't have the same mechanics as the major regions to support it (as shown by the fact that they lost a 4 v 5 with sentinel's 2nd most impactful player off = that they are mechanically outclassed if they play 1 v 1s and this gem of a clip https://clips.twitch.tv/CalmVainShingleSSSsss-dqbGX5-Cot78XN8M how does a pro player miss half a clip. how does a pro team not have anyone protecting the sova in a straightforward 2 v 2) On top of this, just run through their match history. Against any team they regard as competent they ONLY have one comp on all maps except bind. And its an outdated one at that, without a single sign of astra or viper. The double duelist genuinely feels at least 2 metas behind (i.e skipped the skye/breach meta as well).
CR 2-1
Munchkin on Raze is a genuine threat, Neth can switch between duelist and sentinels pretty well, and the team overall is very balanced. V1 coming in with a sub will hinder a lot of momentum, and despite Vanity's IGL'ing and coordination, I don't think V1 will be able to overcome their struggle and be the first team to go to the lower bracket in Iceland.
nah thats just a coincidence lol
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/Mun -> this is their coach who actually is named mun
Some of y'all sound like dumbasses thinking that CR is a shit team for losing against SEN in a fucking ranked game 4 v 5 lmao. CR was playing with their coach, and without their star player Munchkin, so it was basically a 4 v 4. 100T lost a lot of ranked games, but are people like "these randoms are better than 100T??? 100T WASHED??!?!?!"
There's also another belief that CR is bad because of scrim results. Scrimbucks don't mean a lot. There are a lot of teams with great scrim results but couldn't make up for it in the real game, or teams with bad scrim results but come out banging in their games. Hell G2, the team that Mixwell plays for, was pretty hyped in scrims, but they looked disjointed as hell in games.
Let's just see how CR does against V1 without having a kneejerk reaction about them losing a ranked game. Losing a ranked game is no big deal. Both CR and SEN are playing ranked in another region other than their own. Nothing to gauge from that.
You do realize that this logic applies to NA as Sentinels won everything after a week of preparation with a new player (TenZ). So ig the whole NA region is very weak since this team is able to dominate with a new player with low preparation. And the player swap was even more significant for Sentinels, sinatraa and TenZ dont play similar roles or agents.
Not sure about this example. TenZ and SEN would be a different case. Imagine TenZ replacing Jamppi in Liquid. Fairness in mind, would you say that Liquid wouldn't get even better and destroy more teams? SEN was already Top 1 team in NA, they lost Masters 1 because Shahz' father passed away and they didn't practice as a team in 2 whole weeks prior to the matches. So, its pretty understandable that they lost (and it was a very very close game like13-11 in all 3 matches against 100T)
Munchkin is a really good player. but V1 pull through, even if it looks a little shaky. I trust that they will feel a little more confident going into the future games with some time on the stage, and I believe they have a day or two until their next match so I think they'll be fine.
Edit: Scratch that, they're playing Liquid tomorrow. I think Liquid will beat V1 in the state that they're in right now. Still, they have a chance at a lower bracket run.
