You still havent answered the question. WHO WOULD YOU TAKE THE SPOTS FROM TO GIVE TO APAC, SEA OR WHOEVER YOU WANT???
Not really, I put a spot for APAC. Also: Where do you draw the line between giving everyone spots and competitive integrity?
Agreed. Id love to see 24 teams, but this was assuming they will keep 16 teams for 2022
And BR is in Latam. Whats your point? Youre a muppet. Answer the question. Who would you take slots from to give to India? Swear Indian fans are the most deluded. Global esports didn't even make it to semis in Asia LCQ lmao
What have they proven?
Who would you take a spot from to give APAC and SEA more slots?
Get a grip mate, APAC and SEA are not top regions
I hope 2022 season changes the spot allocation for each region. How has Brazil got the same number of Champions spots as NA?
What would be the perfect spot allocation in your opinion? Mine is below:
4 EMEA
4 NA
2 Korea
1 Japan
1 China
1 SEA
1 BR
1 Latam
1 APAC
TSM
Liquid
90% of Brazilian teams
Because Tier 1 CS players in EU are still successful. If Val overtakes CS in viewership and money (prize and salaries) we could see some migrate to VAL, but until then I doubt it.
Tbh I like the unity behind EMEA. I feel like we all cheer for each other on international tournaments which might stop happening if the regions are separate.
Thats actually not a bad ranking. I would put Zeta a bit higher (not too much) and also VS above 100T and NV. I agree with the rest
Exactly. Thank you for showing respect and admiration towards your opponents. Gambit worked hard and it payed off and I'm happy they are gonna represent EMEA. Liquid seem like they are missing something, hope they take this time to improve
Exactly. Dont get me wrong, I like the players on Liquid and want them to do well but I just think other teams in EMEA are better representatives of the region
4th in Iceland? Had to go through 2nd qualifier for EMEA playoffs?
Liquid got veryyy lucky on icebox with some crazy 3ks. Soulcas spamming the viper wall getting a 2k was so lucky. Gambit definitely seemed like the better team, glad they are going to represent EMEA .Totally deserved
Ill admit, they played Gambit closer than I thought on map 3. But my point still stands. Ranked number 2 in EMEA? A lot of people saying they'd qualify easily and some people saying they'd give SEN a run for their money? No way. Their fundamentals are great but they can't rely on a lucky 3k to win rounds. Hope they get better but Im glad Gambit go to Berlin instead of Liquid. I think Gambit is the stronger team.
EU Timezones I think are the best. I can watch Asia in the morning, EU in the afternoon and NA in the evening
It is tho, if the match was being played on TR server, the whole match would have dc'ed
They are not playing in TR servers, otherwise the whole match would have ended
Why does NA have breaks in the middle of maps? Not a fan of it tbh. Kinda deflates the hype of the map for me
I like 4x4 round robin but I would make it so 3rd place in each group would start in lowers rather than be eliminated off the bat.
I see people putting Liquid so high in their power rankings, even on the VLR ranking they are 2nd in EMEA even though they had to go to the second qualifier for playoffs. IMO the tiers in EMEA are:
S Tier:
I get they are very popular and I like the players on that team but I don't think they are even a TOP 5 EMEA team.
People are CRAVING content. There's very little content leading to the event so people discuss whatever they can, in this case, scrim results. If you can 'save the hype' until the event, good for you, but don't gate keep people from discussing scrim results. Don't like it? Don't open threads about scrims.
'Liquid... so we can beat them!'
HAHAHAHAHAHA, this guy is hilarious. Didn't know NA let comedians play VAL.
Don't forget about last chance qualifier. The actual team distribution will be:
NA: 3
EMEA: 3
South America: 4 (Including Brazil)
Asia: 5
Makes no sense. Take at least 1 spot from Asia and give it to TR/CIS.
I've made one with individual channels for each team, score channel, discussion channel, etc. https://discord.gg/sCMsnd6xgm
Just seen they added the individual matches. They didn't have them when I last checked. Thank you
What are some good betting apps for Valorant? An app open to EU residents and that has the individual matches for VCT Iceland.
Have they scrimmed the Turks?
Ikr. Scream is packing, Boaster is on his way back to the UK, Derke is swimming back to Finland, etc. It's over boys, EU is done.
How can you say 'they didn't have anything prepared' and 'that was their tactic' in the same post? Either they didn't have tactics or the 3 duel comp was their tactic but you can't say both
First of all: they didn't get 'rolled', they lost 3-2.
Second: How would you even know they showed ALL their tactics? The less they show the better. They played a 3 duelist comp against TL for the first time. You think that was their tactic mate? They were trying not to show off what they've got.
Third: EVEN IF what you said checks out, then by that logic, V1 is the 2nd best NA team because they beat all the other teams except SEN. Beating a team doesn't necessarily mean they are better than the team they beat. I think Fnatic is SLIGHTLY better than Liquid right now. Period.
I did. Read the actual post and you will find my answer.
If the rumours are true I think Acend was really dumb for the trade and G2 will certainly benefit However, M1xwell seems to me like a 1 trick Jett and Nukkye too on Raze. And personally, I don't think 2 duelist meta is the way to go. If those 2 players get some versatility with their agent pools I think they will definitely be one of the best in EU, if not then I think they will stay around the 7th/8th/9th place in EU.
How about refuting my arguments instead? This is a thread for people to express their opinions so what's yours?
1 - Fnatic - They lost to Liquid but I think both teams were trying to not show tactics and Liquid just won on the fundamentals. While I think both teams are amazing, Fnatic is always prepared, they study their opponents A LOT, and their tactics are incredible. That's where I think they shine.
2 - Liquid - Incredible mechanical players, no need to mention how good Scream is cause everyone knows that already. L1NK is a clutch god and I think they have one of the best coaches in the world, Sliggy.
3 - FPX - I think they were a little under-prepared going into the qualifiers but they are a very consistent team.
4 - Guild - I think Yacine can be a bit hit or miss but Leo is one of the best players in the world in my opinion. This team has so much potential especially if it turns out to be Astra meta.
5 - Ascent/Gambit - I think both these teams are on the same caliber right now. Great players all around but both teams can be inconsistent sometimes.
CR are my dark horse. I'm gonna say CR 2-1 V1
A bit off topic but: Brazilian fans are so 50/50 for me.
Half are genuinely smart fans and are stating their opinions without bias.
The other half is 'BR best region kkkk cry more.'
I was genuinely hoping BR would do well but the 2nd type of BR fans are just annoying. Get a grip, be respectful and enjoy the tournament.
To all the good BR fans, thank you. Abraco.
