stop with this copium man. all the Russian players from the European side, and were strengthened/weaned on EU competition.

i just think they are shit xset and don't know how to attack

I guess a potential question from this is how envy reacts psychologically. They were used to being the best team in the world in scrims, so if they get destroyed in some of them just before a major tournament it can be a confidence deflator.

wow guild really survived on their last breath, 14 more rounds and FF could have won map 2 and tied the series!

posted about 2 years ago

maybe because g2 are pretty new and so have a lot more upside + don't have one singular way of playing?

posted about 2 years ago

15-25k on base salary, then + stream money and prize money as well

Other Teams:
Oh yeah we need to shake this up, pick up some high ACS talent and cracked ranked players to spice things up, or maybe shell out some NA salaries for half of another previously successful team including their IGL.

Guild:
haha -draken +draken.

oh damn cornell college? i heard their semester system is good, but Iowa seems quiet :). on a serious note congrats, idk about clemson and cornell being regarded as 100% equal LMAO, the former just gives off frat football vibes vs depressed try-hard ones in the latter.

tenner back to school, he didn't enjoy the slow pace of valo. bonkar defo mechanically below average, but it also comes down to his playstyle of staying alive for util. its messing up his rhythm so when he does take a fight he has no confidence in winning it. Overall tho i think his team impact is more positive than negative, but to achieve their skill ceiling guild needs to eventually swap him out.

bucks also had 3 max players pepelaugh. its dollar store superteam vs real one OMEGALUL, no one to root for

she's the only person who is known with some followers and shit, obvs that didn't translate to branding/publicity for the team.

marved gets some pretty solid stats for being a support player.

madge i can't even get stable 60 fps sometimes.... its dropping down to as low as 36. i've turned everything down, turned my resolution down, and even tried messing around with throttlestop halp

being good at one videogame =/ good at another videogame. especially when said videogames are so completely different from each other. i love the fella, followed him in paladins too (although as a diehard Navi fan lmao), but I am unsure if his fragging/playstyle is sufficient to enable guild to become a world-class team.

you mean good swedish igls. i don't think the swedish only experiment can continue for much longer.

posted about 2 years ago

they seem like a baby fpx, got the slow tactical style and 1st place always eludes them. still gonna root for them regardless and hope the long break gets them over the hump.

mwzera has made less money from prize winnings than iyen (and Soniqs have only been in the NA scene for a few months) thats how little money there is comparatively in the br scene. NA is also a much more similar environment than brazil is. if you are going to go to a foreign country to compete, you might as well go to the one with the same language no?

posted about 2 years ago

that's a pretty one-head take lmao. the competition is worse in brazil and theres 10x less money because it is poorer than the US and a lot of the esports investment is locked up in the brazil csgo scene. even a tier2/tier 3 team in the US can expect to make 700-1000 USD per month, and there is also the monthly NSG tourneys to look forward to.

whats wrong with watching them for entertainment? based on scrimbux and the history of br in tactical shooters i think its reasonable to think they could have done well. if you watched the interview with saadhak, he said they wouldc be happy with a fourth place finish as they don't have the same level of competition/resources as NA.

? shahzam cs, sick cs, tenz cs, dapr cs, only zombs was ow/apex. tenz was an up and coming prospect, dapr + sick were playing on good teams until april 2020, only shahz was "washed" among the csgo players. they all had at least 50k-100k + won in cs, compare that to the liquid brits who won at most 10k. Contrary to popular belief, the reason why eu is behind NA rn is because they are lacking csgo fundamentals on a macro and micro level (they play slow because all of them look up to their regions best historical csgo team and for eu thats astralis). tailored, the former tsm coach, gave some good insights into this on the icebox vod: he notes that the default could be improved, that they aren't swapping it up enough, and some micro positioning issues.

I think fnc were just lacking experience. when you had 5 csgo players who all had LAN experience you have an advantage in closing games out. Obviously the whole sub was ranting on tenz being shit on LAN, forgetting almost all of the fnc players didn't have that experience.

think it was taken out of context in the plat chat interview. he said that gtn was already on the team when they were creating the new vks roster, so they continued playing with him. it does seem to imply that he couldn't be kicked even if they wanted to tho.

posted about 2 years ago

this makes me start to think mwzera is in part a big fish in a small pond. frz was posting above average stats in brazil.

posted about 2 years ago

put frz back on skye as well he seems way more comfortable in that role. but maybe its just the astra meta forcing them to need a jett entry to make space.

posted about 2 years ago

I honestly don't think jammy was a pure negative over wippie tho. he's better at anchoring sites which is shown by v1 doing well on ct during the tourney. but wippie was an overall stronger player + cohesion with how to work map control and be aggressive etc.

posted about 2 years ago

saadhaks playing fine as a paladins player. I think frz would be better on a support role like he previously was on skye, but they seem to keep insisting on running double duelist. maybe they realised they were just a shittier version of eu with a single duelist comp, so have resorted to double duelist to catch teams off guard. it's also strange how they have resorted to running jett, when in a previous interview they think jett was overrated.

sacy is better than bonkar in val,. bonkar and saad knew each other from paladins, both were tank players (and bonkar was arguably better than him at that game).

posted about 3 years ago

why you getting downfragged LULW. they play puggy but don't have the same mechanics as the major regions to support it (as shown by the fact that they lost a 4 v 5 with sentinel's 2nd most impactful player off = that they are mechanically outclassed if they play 1 v 1s and this gem of a clip https://clips.twitch.tv/CalmVainShingleSSSsss-dqbGX5-Cot78XN8M how does a pro player miss half a clip. how does a pro team not have anyone protecting the sova in a straightforward 2 v 2) On top of this, just run through their match history. Against any team they regard as competent they ONLY have one comp on all maps except bind. And its an outdated one at that, without a single sign of astra or viper. The double duelist genuinely feels at least 2 metas behind (i.e skipped the skye/breach meta as well).

? vlr.gg is always gonna be more degenerate and braindead than anything out in the internet. its like hltv, a black hole that attracts every autist (me included) into this dumpster fire.

G2 have not even qualified for anything since Feb. Maybe on paper they got some good players now, but it probably still requires some time to mesh

posted about 3 years ago

Agree with everything, but maybe Gambit fourth and Guild 5.

posted about 3 years ago

Whats this supposed to mean lol. Ive played both paladins and OW and they are pretty different. One functions more like a MOBA, another more like a FPS.

posted about 3 years ago

Who's the other 40%? The only other well known player on liquid is Jammpi, and theres no way you are convincing me he has 2/3 of scream's brand presence.

posted about 3 years ago

ye, some good EU teams (mainly guild cos of bonkar's connection with frz and saad + their aggressive playstyle) definitely want to scrim them.

posted about 3 years ago

BIGLY.

im a guild fan but bonkar is not remotely close to being top 10 unfortunately. in his own words, "I CAN'T AIM". otherwise he's a good support player who plays well with teammates and can energise the team.
