Well, there would be nothing wrong with saying "war tah," would there? That's literally the phonetic pronunciation. Anyway, generally speaking, people who drop their ts are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds/poorly educated. Most families I knew growing up would not have allowed their kids to speak like that... It's in the same boat as saying "in'it," if you know that one...
What I meant by war tah, is more the huge emphases on the ah bit, which tend to sound like War-tar. Used an h instead of r, which is my bad.
Like, I'm originally from South Africa, family moved to Berkshire when I was like 3. My brother and sister adapted to the colloquial habits of in'it, whateva, etc.
Parents associated not having correct pronunciation, or having a good understanding of correct pronunciation, was seen as lower class. which in most cases it is. My societal standards that is.
Not exactly sure about the definition of sovia economic backgrounds, but I believe it has to do with education level of family, parental income, and the statuc of their job, or family. Wouldn't the area fall under that aswell? I grew up in a average town, no excess of rich people, a lot of council estates, etc. Most people my age had their pronunciation of Ts, there. Other than the few who acted like chavs/roadmen (went to school through 2008-2013. height of chavs and start of roadmen). oddly the ones who acted like roadmen/chavs, were from a town next to my own, which was abundant with that style of speech.
Sorry for poor structuring, and rambling one about stuff lol
Yes, you're right - it's lower class, which is essentially what I meant but didnt want to say as class structure is a sensitive topic to some.
The practice of dropping ts has, over the years, spilled over to lower middle class and even middle classes -- though it is typically a phase thing for kids in those circumstances.
My friends at school did it, and now they're in their mid 20s and most do not. It's just hip to sound kinda street wise and edgy, but it's honestly a bit embarrassing for grown men of a good education to speak like that. Of course, some dont know better and copy their parents,etc...
It's complicated! But just wanted to point out that it's very cringe for many UK people to imagine that foreign believe we all sound like that, hah.
The irony between people making fun out of British people saying war-ah, is not many other countries even pronounce the T in water. America says wa-der, and boh-dl. They do the same what a lot of British people do, and use a flat T, which sounds like a D in American English, and in England, they tend to do the same, just with a different accent. the most common use of water in the UK I've seen, is war-da, with a slight t on the d sound, just not emphasised as it should be, according to queens English.
This isn't saying the op is american(guy who mentioned woota), just talking in general as it's usually NAs who tend to make fun of the UK for stereotypes, despite both countries doing the same shit.
so if players from one game move to another game, they are all automatically failures...What kind of suck ass mentality is that? People can shine in different games. The fact that you are a loser in your job doesn't mean you will be another loser in another job. Simple as that, what is the point of defending an old game (csgo) that is not willing to improve many aspects of their own game (graphics, game matching, ranked, etc etc)
You just sound like a brain dead
Depends on what games you play if you play fps its s1mple, if you play fortine(L) its ninja or buga, if you play league its prolly faker if we are speaking of all time, but in recent memory you have people like showmaker, chovy, uzi, rookie, theshy, and even the up and coming t1 bot lane guma and keria
ngl I'm wondering why si1mple is referenced as the goat of esports, when he holds nothing against faker. Not taking away from what s1mple has done, but comparing him to faker who has been at the top for nearly a decade, is kinda meh. I'd even say dev1ce is a better option to compare, given achievements, as s1mple only recently won his first major title. Individually, s1mple is the goat of cs. Probably the best the game has had. Overall in esports, he isn't a top2 contender. I'd say it's between Faker, and Flash(SC2), or even Daigo(SF games and fighting games)

can you take your time to appreciate how insane mwzera is? without a doubt the most talented player to ever touch the game
I'll try to explain briefly why I think he is the best player in the world
Despite his insane aim and movement
The best way to know if a player is a good duelist is RAZE. There is a BIG difference between a good duelist and a jett abuser
If he is a good duelist, he needs to be good with raze.
heat? not good with raze
aspas? not good with raze
xand? not good with raze
tenz? not good with raze
cned? not good with raze
scream? not good with raze
d3ffo? not good with raze
derke? not good with raze
Thats why I think he is undoubtely the best player in the world. If RIOT by any means decides to nerf jett and shift the meta we prolly not gonna even hear names like cned and tenz again :>
He is not killing 40+ per map because when he joined VK he was forced to play a different role because heat is already a main jett... and lets be honest, every single duelist nowadays gets 20+ kills per map because team and setups are basically built around you (even steel managed to get 20 kills with it https://www.vlr.gg/29398/sentinels-vs-100-thieves-champions-tour-north-america-stage-3-challengers-playoffs-gf/?game=46692&tab=overview)
The guy that did the parry comeback on Street Fighter with a single pixel of health.
Edit: His name is Daigo and the link to the clip is down below

esports has not seen player more of a natural talent player than zywOo . He joins his first pro team and wins best player of year twice , even reaching finals with all 4 of his team members negative playing the most selfless star role with creating space and entries for his team .
I know s1 fans will compare entry ratings with zywoo not considering the fact s1 mostly goes for picks and not selfless entries like zywoo/niko(creating space) , also half of s1 opening KDA comes from awp picks while zywoo gives his awp to nivera . In comparison when s1 gave his awp to guardian navi was not successful at all although s1's rating was still top tier.
Now , with navi on top he has more talent in his team than prime astralis . s1 fans only love s1 for his flashy playstyle and personality like ronaldo and ignore the inhuman natural talent of zywOo like messi.
Are you out of your mind m8? Vitality probably was the most supportive team of they star player in CS history. He had so many veteran players setting him up for the kills etc. Meanwhile S1mple had to go nuclear all the time so Navi had a chance. If we talk about selfless entry players who play incredible we have to talk about NiKo, who literally dry entries and wins every duel.
