GX v BBL. BBL didn’t even have their full roster for this game and GX on paper seemed better. The fact that BBL won is a pretty big upset.
EG v Loud. High expectations for EG from their offseason results and the pickup of Yay whereas many expected Loud to be a bottom team after the loss of Less + Saadhak. Loud won pretty easily 2-0.

The simple answer is no. GE is putting their whole stock into this tournament while other orgs barely even care. U can see this in the social media advertising and the way that only GE staff care including coaches while barely anyone else cares.

Easily the most competitive season to date across all regions. I also think some teams realized they need to do something (mibr, ge, eg, etc) with their rosters in order for riot to renew their franchising slots after the 4 years is up and it’s getting close to that point. Also I think that Heretics, KC, etc showed that the T2 talent pipeline is also a good way to become contenders so there’s a lot of teams doing that

if they qual the only 2 good challengers level players r leaving instantly (tdawg and babyj) as they are trialing with a couple t2 teams in challengers rn so i think it would be a shame if they did qual as they would take away a slot from a more deserving team

jawg was likely to go to g2 from the start. Derke just went to the better team on paper (who wouldnt), aspas buyout was upwards of 200k. they got a good option considering mada was being looked at by lots of teams too

Well they’re taking some huge chances on some relatively unproven players so that’s why I say they’re cooking. But it could turn out either good or a disaster. Either way I like the coaching staff so imma root for them.
