Yea sometimes i try to not understand vlrs horrible goldfish memory or maybe the fact they all start watching this year. C0m was constantly the worst in EG and LEV. only does good in champs and by good i mean slightly positive. He threw shanghai, and levs early chance in the season, exact same scenario in EG.

#19 and #20 are two dumbasses who don't understand the game
in 2023 C0M undoubtedly was EG's clutch king
and in 2024 while he had a slow start he was a major part of them winning americas and placing top 3 at champs. he's the 2nd caller and also with him its pretty much impossible to get flanked
there is no player since franchising who has consistently achieved as much as C0M has so its obviously not a fluke

ok lets slow down a little bit. I understand the game very well im down to teach you sum because i have been in val since beta quiting off and on. C0m clutch king was related to his tendacy of being last alive (aka baiting 101). kIngg had more clutches than c0m btw his are just more memorable (still flanking meme). most inits bait, but considering he still has very bad stats for one is pretty bad. Lev success stemmed from the heroics of Mazino, Tex, and aspas (insane round openers, with crazy first engagements) even Lev IGL was goated. Its clear c0m is the worst on the roster. And fnc plrs have achieved more than c0m, but again its a team game so that irrelevant imo.

yeah going negative 11 games straight with half of them being double negative is so valid, FNS as an actual IGL with a way more sacrificial play style (he baits for his teammates unlike c0m who baits his teammates) didn't have this long of a streak of going negative. you actually gotta be fucking retarded to think c0m played well in 2024 overall. even in stage 2 with his team not dropping a map in the majority of the games he would still go neural or negative half the time 😭hey, I'm sure his impact as "the 2nd called and with him its pretty much impossible to get flanked" makes up for it 🔥we got a kj turret on the team

c0m and Jawgemo kinda mog all the other former EG players tbh + if you need such a hyper specific system to succeed in Valorant as well as a hyper specific management/number of players then I think it's really debateable on whether you should be considered a world class player or just a savant. All I'm saying is imagine if you took a super star from a dysfunctional-mid team and gave them that same level of dedication and resources

The idea of system players. That's not a real thing. It's just a way for people to continue propping up failing players. They do the same thing with coaches. Pretending that esports isn't a competition and that people who lose shouldn't be shown the door.

How are system players not a real thing? They're just players who thrive in a specific environment. Players have strengths fit to a style, or in this case, a system. EG 2023 wasn’t just a bundle of talent, they thrived because the players fit perfectly into a system designed to maximize their strength.

System players are very much real, it doesnt have to be as detailed as "they can only succeed when they have XYZ number of coaches players etc" but Demon1 is the easiest example i can think of, HE HAS NEVER BEEN A HARD ENTRY DUELIST, potter understands this and plays around her players strengths, when demon1 goes to NRG and even now on LEV, they start using him as a hard entry duelist and he underperforms, its not like demon1 just forgot how to play the game, he's just playing the game in a way he's uncomfortable with

Boostio did great with 100T last year, they won Split 1 and went far at Shanghai
C0m had a rough start but adapted really well at the end, being a solid piece in Leviatan's champions run for the third place and won Americas
Jawgemo was the brightest star on EG even though his team didn't qualify for anything, but his performance was good enough to be picked up by G2

Ethan and Demon1 were just bad in 2024 I agree, but we'll know this year if they fail again with a different roster or they'll rise once again.

Ethan and Demon1 were actually the highest rated players on the 2024 NRG team. Crashies, Marved and Vic (and chet as well) all let both of them down, as well as putting Demon1 on a role that he just wasn't ever prepared for.
