Marvel Rivals put Valorant to Shame

The New patch of Marvel Rivals literally puts Valorant to Shame, they added 4 new complete different characters in one single drop just to show how shit our game is now.

Meanwhile, Valorant still doesn't have a single skin for their main characters, the only content that youtubers have to show to people is another ass battle pass with shitty skins.

Valorant STILL doesn't have a replay System, after 5 years of the game being launched and this feature being in OW since 2016.

Riot is making FOOLS of every player in the world and i'm sick of pretending that they ain't a multi Billion Dolar Company that can literally aford to do this in one month or less.

If Riot added 4 agents in one patch it would be absolute chaos, both in ranked and in pro play. I don't think they'll ever go that route because it simply doesn't make sense for the game

No It wouldn't, the game would be even more Fun.

Imagine a drop of Neon, Tejo, Harbor, Chamber in a Single drop?

It would skyrocket the game content

Can't believe we are comparing 2 different genre of shooter games to each other. And there is no way in hell you think dropping 4 agents at one time is a good idea. The ranked system in Marvel Rivals is easy and is probably the easiest ranking in any game out there so them dropping 4 wouldnt be as bad, I am surprised there arent more people in Diamond+ in that game

Not even a bad idea if you only play swiftplay.

Am I the only one who does not care much about the replay system?

Same I really don't understand the outrage when it's so easy to record your matches

In my case, I don't have the specs to run VALORANT and recording software at the same time

When I first started I played on my college laptop. Hope you get to upgrade to a decent PC. It feels a lot better

Probably not anytime soon; a laptop is more realistic for someone going into university anyway. Thanks though :)

It's a basic feature and asking it is not "outrage" considering riot games is not an indie company. Recording your P.O.V is not the same as replay.

Have you watched any of Riot's update videos? They're pretty transparent about the issues they're having and why it's taking so long. Their most recent one shows that they're figuring out how to compensate for lag, because some shots that hit on the server side won't look like they hit on the client side for users with high latency or ping (I think, I don't remember the exact wording).

Ok. They decided to develop the game without having replay in mind. This is shit decision making.

Also if you look at the history they were caught pants down lying. That's why they trying to be transparent now.

there are 3 types of people who want a replay system

  1. People who are in pro play or want to review VODS through riot client to see what went wrong per each POV, reviewing etc (valid)
  2. People who queue comp and want to watch their own games because they want to learn from their mistakes (valid)
  3. The most common and large group of people who want a replay system, the people who want to replay their matches to see the one shot that they SWEAR TO GOD HIT that definitely didnt hit and get tilted for no reason, or the people who want to say look at how SHIT MY TEAMMATES ARE THEY CANT EVEN HIT THIS (braindead)

I personally only want the replay system so we can see insane clips in pro play that we couldn't have seen before, but also I understand that from what they've said Valorant is really hard to implement it into because of how they made the game, so I'm fine waiting for a polished product if it means it takes more time

To be fair it would be sick to watch replays of pro games from each player's pov but we probably wouldn't get that anyway

I really hope we do, all they'd really have to do is cut out comms and find a place to publish it
It's possible in CS

I agree
I know for a fact that I would use the replay system like once in a blue moon for my own gameplay

But having it for pro games would be a really cool thing for VCT, I think it will expose the coaches who aren't willing to do 'nitty gritty' work by loading up the game and going through demos, and thereby increase the quality of play exponentially for teams that are willing to anti strat to that depth

Valorant will last 10+ years, Marvel Rivals will be dead within 2.

realistically this year. im not even a hater of the game i think its fun but it can only really be a casual experience with how the game is balanced which is fine but once the honeymoon period wears off people will start complaining how everything is broken i really only see it lasting for casual marvel fans. also ranked in that game is a joke i hit eternity within 40hrs and the amount of people in high ranks that are still absolutely horrible ive never seen anything like it seriously just a joke

the thing is it’s clear the developers of rivals put more love into their game than ow devs do, so i dont see it dying until either the devs fuck up, or ow dies.

This is a shit take. OW is bad because of it's content but the game itself is absolutely one of the best. If rivals devs have so much love, why did they use UE5? You can't lie how polished ow is and has been. It's performance on any machine is butter smooth. It's netcode is one of the best, hands off.

Blizzard still makes a ton of money, so neither game is dying soon. The exaggerated death of OW started in 2017, now it's 2025.

yeah, having replay system and being able to see the tournament from in-game is nice especially when you can choose the pov aswell

tbf the four characters that they released (which btw 2 of them are out rn, the other 2 coming out in 6 weeks) were probably developed mostly before the game came out. also, they really only have to focus on developing abilities for heroes, since they have an endless amount of source material for hero concepts, designs, and character.

Why do we need skins for main characters, overpriced weapon skins are already enough

Riot is a bit lazy, I agree but our community is not braindead like ow or rivals one. We play the game for the core gameplay, not skins or new events, etc. So they don't need to fix what's already fixed. Their balance changes are so much better than those hero shooters.
