I have a free hour and am bored out of my mind, tell me whatever you want and ill attempt to engage with it
1/ This not how internet cable works, https://wondernetwork.com/pings/Sao%20Paulo you will have a better ping in Miami than in Mexico (or even in Columbia)
2/ Restructure MENA+SA+CA and making them one region could be only a T1 region with how many people you put in there
What if riot introduced a new method of determining the last team from every region to go to champions. Like a new LCQ of sorts.
They will determine this by having an irl death match where every coach on the competing teams will use nerf guns. Whoevers coach wins takes the team to champs.
I think this is a good idea, what about you?
They should bring back LCQ for qualification to champs, and in top of that ascension finished before LCQ so the winner can participate in the LCQ as wild card. I dont really mind with the current championship points system, but what i suggest bring higher stakes and it would be crazy if the ascension winner winning the whole LCQ.
6/10. Cool idea on paper as bringing back lcq would be really fun, but I do think it somewhat fucks over more consistently good teams throughout the year (maybe give those with more champ points a higher seed?). adding ascension teams seems like a mess logistically though that would need major upheavals to the format to work
All the regional leagues ( P, C, A, E) should have each team playing each other in every split and the import rule should be revised to have a max of two imports on team and not just one , keeping a Swiss stage in masters when there are only 8 teams to play is actually kinda shit , maybe in the masters for playoffs rather than double elim keep it single elim but make it BO5 Every match
2/10. Horrible with a single redeeming quality, I want to avoid import talent eating regions and the idea of single elim bo5 sounds so ass, and it isnt feasible for each to team to play eachother ever split if riot wants to avoid schedule overlap and player fatigue. only part I agree with is that there should be more teams going to each tournament and playing against eachother
1.) Winning champs doesnt make you a better player/harder than winning a masters. Champs is just more important to win.
2.) People who say X team wouldve won Y event if not for Z are genuinely some of the stupidest people alive
3.) Just because a pro player gives an opinion on something doesnt mean they are more correct than someone. Too many times I will argue something and have evidence support said argument and then someone will say “ah but tenz said-“ with no other evidence to back up their claim
4.) Teams that win more recently are at higher peaks than teams that won in the past and should be treated as the better team in discussion
5.) Ascent is a 4/10 map and shouldve been removed by now
1) Definitely agreeable
2) Definitely cause if u gotta show up when it matters highly and not when stars align
3) Thank God someone knows how these fans dick ride pros
4) Hmm not sure abt that it's debatable i think
5) Yo for real lame ass map atleast make some changes in it, everytime I see someone play on this I puke 🤢🤢
You got some pretty W takes didn't knew vlr had smart guys as well
Each league should have atleast 14 teams where in 4 are from ascension and constantly rotate according to performances, while riot should also try bringing back the 2 year contract for ascension winner rule one year isn't worth it for any org and then don't wanna invest in a team in valo for T2, if some day 14 ain't good for number reasons then make it 16 where riot makes two more teams permanent contract and keeps four from ascension, this makes it better competition
8/10. Significantly better that your previous take, ascension teams are absolutely in a bad spot as they are already cash strapped without the accumulation of stipend and skin revenue, yet are expected to be the most competitive? also adding more slots for players in t1 is just the right thing to as it feels too small currently. only thing that I disagree with is the constant rotation, riot (should have) vetted their core orgs for constant investment and financial stability and forcing them out over a weak performance is incredibly toxic for the scene
1/10. Logistical hell and sub-regions would have major issues when playing against eachother due to the government enforced china-exclusive client. you also have to remember that riot is a chinese company and is in their best interest to have an isolated china region to develop and market talent. this also snubs whatever region is weaker as it is proven that teams and regions improve after going to a lan
The aftertaste isn't nearly as aggressive compared to other drinks loaded with more than 200 mg of natural caffeine and the local store I pick up my energy drinks from enver has any flavor than it, I would honestly love to try them though as it's one of the few flavors that can match some of monsters best
4/10. It is incredibly appealing to a mainstream audience and is great for getting people in to esports with how simple it is. That simplicity is also the big reason why it kinda sucks for a dedicated viewer as the skill ceiling has been hit. This doesn't change the fact however that it is valid enough in my eyes
Esports fans are the worst customer to deal with and hence serve limited if not long-run-negative value for riot.
Vlr actually don't care about tier 2 they only care when it's about to be merged.
Japan isn't as bad as what people make them out to be.
When talking about franchising and the scene as a whole vlr only consider things 90% if not purely from competitive perspective which limits their viewpoint hence the flaw in their line of thinking(which leads back to point number 1) , in reality there's many factors to consider.
Riot SUCKS at marketing, especially in regions that are unfamiliar with gaming, even in places that are familiarwith gaming they remained mediocre or even sucked worse than unfamiliar ones since they should've had the easier job . Kohei ( head of riot jp) looked like a god when you compare jp to other regions.
I mean I do observe tier 3 ( premier contender division, offline tournaments , high school tournaments) its just tier 2 watchers are the minority let alone tier 3, i only know people from emea who usually do that because it's listed on vlr, I had to search any japanese tournaments that's not t2 or premier thorugh twitter 😅 ,we are the minority of the minority here 😂😂
I'll combine point 1 and 4 since we're almost on the same page now 😂 and i just wanna add some more points. I definitely agree that riot understands that esports are just markering tool and not something to find profit at, but they know they can't just throw money into a bottomless pit that's why they need to make changes/sacrifices. My frustration with vlr is they can't seem to or refuse understand this concept ( I'm referring to the bolded words)
On the contrary I actually think eu fans discuss their t2 scene the most out of all 4 regions. But you have a point tho I might be wrong about this.
The reason I say this is people make it out as if japan has never made improvements at all where they actually have been but people are just being ignorant. While I do think they are far from great( if I'm not wrong t2 jp sucks at attacking), it's not the worst of the worst is what I'm trying to say 😅
I take that back, it's still too early to say, riots I cannot determine how riot wants to position their games yet😅.
6/10. From what I have seen and heard from his days of beefing with redgar, sayf has always had ideas of how to play the game and his constant requests to be moved on a more cerebral role also reflects that. My only concern comes not from the quality of his calls but instead on his ability to communicate them to his team, esp considering how weak less' english is
