Some insane firepower on that team. With 4 Brazilian teams in Americas 2025, I strongly believe that 2G will make their country proud. Although qualification for an international event is hard to predict and justify at the moment, I think 2G will avoid immediate relegation. This is mainly because of their strong mentality that definitely outshines that of other America's teams.

Definitely going to be serious trophy contenders in 2025. If they want to go to the next level however, they should start with some more experimentation. Compared to every other team in the world, no one can match GEN in terms of simple, standard play. But every once in a while, they should throw in some more spicy set pieces and team comps. They need to define themselves as the vanguard of the meta and always be one step ahead.

The strength of Pacific seems to be on the rise but It's hard to imagine GEN falling off immensely. If it does happen, however, with the immense amount of Korean talent nowadays, they can certainly bounce back with roster changes.

PRX (assuming no roster change)

Too many are too critical of PRX. They think the only way to improve is by dropping players and abandoning their playstyle. However, I want to provide a different perspective going into 2025.

All their players are world class and I hate the criticism of Jinggg. In fact, he should be the central player to build around. PRX's success revolves around their ability to cater to Jinggg. They need to stop trying to relegate him onto other roles when he is clearly the most impactful Raze, on his day. When he gets to play Raze, PRX need to have more standard team comps to help him to their fullest. However, I do not think PRX should completely change their way of throwing in unique curveballs. Whenever something gets to play Jett, PRX can be much more flexible. With all of this considered, they need to strategically combine all of their wild plays and ideas with more calculated ones. I hope 2025 can bring back prime PRX and hopefully cheer up their toxic fans.

This is actually the most reasonable non-PRX fan take I've seen. Thank you for actually thinking. <3

This is basically what I've been trying to say, but I personally think something should be the focus point. Let Jinggg play raze on raze maps, but we can't be forcing raze on every single map and it just restricts our map pool too much. It's why I still think Jinggg should learn more characters.(KJ and/or Cypher would be awesome, but I'd be okay with some others).

IMO, for us to do well, we need something to play well, have Jinggg be able to match something's pace and provide a secondary duelist option, and then have the proper support.

In terms of playstyle, PRX need more info agents imo. They are forced to push early because it's basically a 50/50 of if you guess right. In the midgame, they don't know where they are, and they barely push as they have so many things to worry about. It's why Sage on Sunset worked so well, they could just wall stuff off, push somewhere else, and have aggro walls as well. Being able to push into where the enemy is confidently is where PRX thrive, they just can't get it to work consistently.

An example comp I would like to run(hypothetically, not sure how well it'd work) is:

Ascent:
something - Jett
d4v41 - KAYO
f0rsaken - Skye
Jinggg - KJ/Cypher
Mindfreak - Omen

You get a lot more info with KJ and the double init, but you also still can push out with double flashes. I think it's more balanced while still being able to run #WGAMING.

When you look at EDG’s massive improvement through out the years, what do you think PRX should take from them?

#39

actually having a dedicated igl (should be davai) and support player (forsaken)

#42

Frags

ehh...

no one on PRX has had experience being a true IGL(AFAIK). f0rsaken was the closest we had to one, and he was okay at best. Him and d4v41 are probably better as secondary callers.

f0rsaken is already a dedicated support player no? He's arguably the most flexible player ITW.

yeah I referred to forsaken as a comparison to EDG's S1mon who were their dedicated support

but your take on davai is valid tho bc he might just run into the same problem with ethan being an IGL when he was more used to being a secondary caller

Zeta

For ZETA, I need to be brutally honest. If they want to compete again in 2025, there needs to be a squad overhaul.

Their current roster movements are a step in the right direction. Although losing Laz might have been the least ideal scenario, they desperately need a change of personnel. At this point, there's no going back and they can't stop here. While they are at it, they should change their coaching staff. Much of their dismay in 2024 came from their weak mentality. Valorant is known as a heavily momentum-based video game, however ZETA truly embodied it last year. Most of their rounds came from being on a strong roll. However, they were unable to overcome it when they were the ones on the receiving end. I strongly believe that they should weed out this deeply rooted issue by bringing some new faces. I would be happy to see them bring in non-Japanese players and staff as well, with a real focus on resilience against large swings in the scoreline.

I think that, zeta can maintain full japanese roster( the rumours seems to be that way anyways). But they need an overseas coach, not carlao. And also a translator lol.

If in any case they're getting a non japanese player they should at least bring in someone that can midround for them, i heard this issue is always plaguing japanese teams. Is this true?

KC

I think KC are a highly dynamic and fluid team. Their strength comes in their ability to be ever-changing, whether it be their exciting new comps and smart on-the-fly adaptations. For 2025, I hope they embrace that more. As some teams are afraid of straying from the status quo, KC can abuse that by always being one step ahead. I am not saying that every single game there has to be an overnight overhaul of the playbook. Of course that is asking the impossible. However, with time, KC can gradually expand their variability to the point where no other team can match them on a tactical level.

I understand that KC may be in for some harsh roster changes this off season and we may never see the same level of raw individual talent as we did in 2024. However, with the right incoming signings, drilling in this exciting, unique philosophy could be the solution. Although there will be many headaches in the fanbase at times, there needs to be a level of trust in embracing it all.

SEN

Oh, boy. Honestly, I couldn't imagine being a SEN fan. Too much is going on over there. I'll try my best to explain the best course of action but keep in mind I'm not a miracle worker that can magically clone TenZ and Sacy.

First off, SEN are blessed to have zekken. He is simply a top 3 duelist that has proved proficiency on Jett, Raze, and Neon. Just based off of this fact alone, not all hope is lost. Most people knew this, though. The main widespread concerns were always about johnqt and Sacy. However, I disagree with the sentiments that they need to be replaced. People need to realize fragging IGLs are extremely rare and getting rid of johnqt is practically suicide. We saw in early 2024 the monster he was in both calling and aiming. I understand the frustration of inconsistency but johnqt is core to SEN's success; he is the deciding factor between trophy and participation. No doubt he can pick up his form and solidify himself as the most well-rounded IGL. As for Zellsis, other than being a loud, hype, walking advertisement, his value to SEN is his utility. People who measure him through kills are simply stupid; SEN rarely lose when Zellsis has 15+ assists. Let him shine on initiator more often.

In terms of replacing TenZ and Sacy, there has to be some acceptance that it's highly improbable of picking up a pair of mechanically gifted players. Rather, I believe building a solid foundation with an experienced controller and a flex who can carry his own are enough. While I actually doubt many trophies will come, SEN fans should keep faith. just as they did all throughout 2022 and 2023.

100T

Going through 100T's match history, a pattern I noticed is that they struggle to bounce back. After suffering a defeat on a map, either by a tight or wide margin, they seem to frequently lose the following one. They seem to be another team suffering a mentality issue. There needs to be an understanding that losses are inevitable. Either replace Boostio or get him to start bringing up the team spirit. It's not a big ask; having an IGL be constantly fragging is not always the only solution. All 100T need is that extra steam and that can be fulfilled when Boostio shoulders his responsibility. His loud character is so interesting, as he can be self-reflective and critical but also have a nasty attitude. I hope he can fix that for next year.

Respectfully boostio is the reason 100T are even this good in the first place, you should have seen how miserable they were in 2023
