I know this is all rumours, but it looks like a scary and unfair distribution for Japan.
Not seeing CR in the 10 is actually kind of shocking, and not even a mention of Northeption, which actually to me suggests that one of the Korean orgs that are going to be entering VALORANT for the first time with this opportunity got a deal with Riot, contingent on the signing of Northeption, which, what I assume, is being hinted at in the article:

with one of the LCK orgs being rumored to lean towards a Japanese roster.

Besides, President of Esports for Riot has acknowledged that VALORANT "is super popular there. [in Japan]", so I wouldn't be surprised for them to have Japan in scope for such a colossal partnership deal, at least more in scope than JUST 1 TEAM.

Also, intrigued and not too surprised with them giving this Indian org a chance, since they're already adding an Indian agent, it seems to me they're going to be trying to tap into the Indian market, too - the same way they're trying to get more Turkish players with the addition of Fade and hosting Champions in Istanbul.

I second this. XERXIA is a new esports org/brand (lack of branding as a result) with a "relatively" small budget and support team compared to some of the other teams here (I know riot will be providing funds and as such this might not be as relevant as it would normally but admittedly, XERXIA has a lot of fans purely because of the players, not the org, and I'm sure there would be support no matter what org the players will play under).

What I do like about XERXIA (Aside from their logo and jersey, I heckin love pink btw so they deserve a slot for that solely), is they 'appear' to have a more international mindset and vision that could hopefully mean for an incentive and higher likelihood of shifting operations to S.Korea but again, the inexperience shows in their marketing team and social media - It all looks a little too unpolished for my liking and that sort of move seems too unlikely and turbulent.

I think what people are forgetting is that the ASIAN league is headquartered in Seoul, S.Korea and is where the matches will be played. It is simply easier and more convenient logistically to use orgs already established in Korea with proper facilities and bootcamps (Not to mention connections that may involve legal rights, visas etc. that all require knowledge from locals).

What I can envision, is a merging of orgs (Likely a Thai org like XERXIA and a S.Korean org). Perhaps, one of the lesser known Korean teams would prefer to capitalise on the Thai market and valorant fans, and choose to shift their focus towards that. BLEED did not apply.
Not ALL LCK orgs could make it in. Some can be denied, others could shift to other regions: this shouldn't mean to automatically assume KR gets 5 slots. They are just candidates. Slot allocations can differ. Below are changes in the text to clarify on this & the prefaced message:

"Depending on the slot allocation, some of the other organizations in contention to possibly take a slot could be"

"Out of the verified organizations, a possible Pacific league could look like: "

"...being the five Korean orgs rumored to each have likely chances to advance."
