benjy was far better than all of them in 2024 tho what are you on about??? Even Less did nothing remotely close to what hes done in the past years of being on sentinel, Benjy by no question was the best SENTINEL of 2024 but Meteor was definitely close and is overall the better player because of his capability to flex on pretty much any role

Idk why people would strongly say benjy is better but I do think they are at a similar level. I would give the edge to meteor if someone asked who is better but benjy is still up there as a top tier senti player
If heretics managed to win 3-2 instead of going 2-3 in those finals vs edg then most people would probably consider them equal. Would that be fair? Probably not it's only 1 map that made the difference but it's very easy to look back and be biased. Many non-APAC followers (and non-koreans) probably didn't see much of meteor except when he was at masters events compared to benjy - platchat guys follow emea and NA more closely so they will lean that way. If I watch 50 benjy games and 10 meteor games it's not really gonna give fair results

Less did nothing the entirety of 2024, bro didnt even do anything when he reached an international and yet somehow people still glaze him like hes a king.
Meteor is the overall better player than benjy but thats because he plays flex, but on the sentinel role, especially once benjy had started getting more reps in val, benjy was easily the number 1 sentinel. This guy was one of the biggest reasons TH got 2 runner ups back to back, his duelists just couldnt close it out for him unlike every other top senti thats won the game (Meteor had Texture, Less had Aspas, Alfa had a stacked ass fucking team all doing their jobs, even nats when he was best in the world was only so good because D3ffo had crazy impact and he immediately fell off the moment that team failed).
Even if you disagree i think its just absolute snake behaviour to be so disingenuous as to not give benjy the crown he deserves, whether you think hes number 1 2 or 3 this guy has been playing at the top level for 1 year and even less in tier 2, he isnt a veteran by any means and is somehow managing to keep up and compete with an OG like Meteor and surpass a consistent world class player in Less
The Meteor playing in APAC argument makes absolutely no sense cause as someone who follows pacific closely and is from SEA I think Pacific is a garbage franchise league, at least for the past 2 years. GenG had absolutely 0 competition last year and was ALWAYS losing maps and matches that didnt need to be lost so idk where the fuck your delusions of him playing at a world class level in Pacific come from, cause no one on that team was, not even texture
Gonna assume this is primarily bait but I'll respond to a few bits anyway
1) Meteor wasn't flex on GenG. Idk why people keep saying this. He was senti for 90%+ of the games and occasionally played 2nd duelist on a few maps. That's it. Calling that a flex role is really a bit much
2) Saying APAC is a bad league where GenG had 0 competition then right after that saying that GenG were dropping many matches and maps doesn't make any sense. Pick a lane either they farmed (they didn't) or it was competitive where even the better teams can lose/have close matches

No its because benjy was just far more consistent and was actually better. Meteor has so many matches where hes just playing like absolute dogshit and cant provide impact for the team on his flex roles and even sometimes on sentinel. Youre the one with recency bias because Meteor started playing far better towards the middle and end of the year but he was shitting the bed early on (not to mention they had an easy ass run in kickoff and in madrid)
with alfajer, less, yetujey, chichoo, flashback and leaf being current sentinels i personally dont think he is even a clear top 3 ngl sure heretics is one of the best teams itw but some emea analists act as if they are the current best players itw on all roles despite of edg literally being the only champs winner ever to keep their entire champs winning roster even with staff included
