Why can't val teams just fucking stay with no roster changes for more than fucking one season? They will get better with time like in CS FaZe, Na'Vi, and g2 have been consistent. But in val one season where teams do good but don't win anything = change. They just keep recycling and sht

Why is he down voted, navi kick their coach mid season, EG force their entire team to sign lower salaries, c9 pulls -vanity +vanity -vanity, orgs like Mibr and bbl are just hanging around and liquid are afk on the market

EG didn't "force" anyone to leave. It's an obligation for both sides. EG literally couldn't afford to pay 5 world champions what did you want them to do. Jawg stayed because he said in an interview he wanted to.

Cs teams do make roster moves, and there you play 70 games/year. In val you cant waste time if you play 20 games/year

And now CS will have this number 2x cuz the number of events literally went up from 10 to 30+

why can't we have that in VALORANT

#20

because rito wants financial stability and started franchising decreasing potential team pools to basically a fraction of CS potential team pool

#22

cuz valo is franchised and CS is not.
CS has ESL (7 events next year)
PGL (5)
BLAST (6)
YaLLA(2)
Starladder(2)
FISSURE(2)
EWC(1)
2 majors as well. And these are the tier 1 events, there are also tier 1.5 events or other unannounced tier 1 events. And this is purely open circuit, top 8 are the only ones given direct invites to the 100% of the events, and that top 8 can change quite fast.

Some teams seriously need changes like prx.

Is it crazy to say I don’t think prx need changes

I think their roster is insane despite their issues and is fixable

VALORANT: Play 5 games a year >>> Roster change

you’re making the mistake of comparing csgo and valorant. Both are two different tac shooters. One is a game that is drilled and repeated every season another is a game that is chaotic and random every season. One is changing every year while the other has stayed the same for years. Teams need to adjust to the change.

Well CS teams are now kinda forced to play the long game cuz major cycles practically lock the scene in place. Like cadian was only signed by Astralis cuz he wasn't a part of any major attending roster

I mean cs teams pretty much make that money back thanks to stickers. Navi are rumoured to have gotten jL+iM+Aleksi+wonderful for around 800k and they have now won more prize money than they cost. Now add to that the stickers, which navi will get with a 99.9% chance, and navi has made around 8mil form stickers only and 2mil in prize money (if they are the major and blast world final) and can now advertise themselves as 3x Time Major Winners

What is a sticker

basically in game souvenier which is sold at every major. In Paris 2023 it reached 110 million for all teams together but the number was inflated (50-60 is probably the norm, which roughly makes it around 2.5 mil for every team)

Because different games, different meta, different competition length, everything is different
I do expect it to be a bit more in place in case Riot welcomes new tournaments to the system tho

I mean if youre talking about korean orgs then they're notorious from changing rosters every damn season especielly in LoL

Because track record shows changes lead to wins.
Edg make a roster move - win
Geng brand new roster - win
Sentinels new roster - win
Eg new roster - win
Fnatick new roster - win
Loud new roster - win
Fpx is like the only exception of a team keeping the core for more than a year and winning something

I'd say it's because the format of tournaments in CS and Val. CS has different international tournaments throughout the year, unlike Valorant where you play regionals and then have to qualify for internationals. So big cs orgs can invest on 1 roster and compete in international events throughout year.. whereas in Val all the franchising team have to fight for their spot in international leagues

Further proof Riot needs to shut the fuck up and make these lazy ass monkeys play more, mfs play 10 games and say "I'm fatigued" BITCH YOU PLAY A GAME FOR A LIVING

Even if you wanna pull the "but the mental stress" do sports analist not exist? Are you telling me that it's harder to play valorant than strat design for a team that plays 20+ games?

Losers the lot of them

The problem I see that the games aren't as common yet the break in between them is huge. There is no need for week long fucking breaks in between the games for regions.

#25

I can understand a 3 week to a month break between the Leagues and Internationals
But the idea of the super week infuriates me, IT SHOULD SUPER WEEK EVERY WEEK OF THE LEAGUE

"But the money" fuck riot, they decided to host it in LA the most overpriced and overrated city possible, idgaf if you go into debt hosting the games

I mean they rent the facility for a month when they could realistically take care of all the games in 2

#27

Isn’t the facility theirs for most of the year;
I’m pretty sure they also run/ran lcs from there simultaneously

that still costs money

#34
temi

True but if we compare it to the costs of the logistics and or teams travelling to different locations around the world regularly surely their operating costs has to be significantly lower than that of an esl for example

Because some "pro players" suck ass lol. So many tier 2 talents play better in the meta than the washed tier 1's.

esports finances aren't in a good spot rn, so if the roster doesn't work, the org will look for other options to have better chances at success. Plus CS and Val are two completely different games, with different meta, and different tournament formats. At the end of the day, the goal for the org, ultimately, is to make profits and if they lose more than they gain, changes are pretty much certain.
