US literally has all different types of foods from all sorts of cultures .... if you are going to call America's food bad then idk how shit the rest of the world is...
Is the point that American culture food sucks like Hamburgers or the quality is not as good as other countries? If you don't like hamburgers its kinda like who cares. If you think the quality sucks there are thousands of high end/high quality American food restaurants around the country where you can get quality food.
Bringing another cuisine to your own country does not make it yours.
Do you have any original dishes?
I thought so.
Yes NY city has perhaps every cuisine you could think of but the same is true for nearly every big city in the world. At this point, it just falls down to the capacity of a restaurant to represent itself.
america is the country with the higest average percentage of overweight people,
this means 132mil. people from 330mil.are fat LOL
should we continue with mental health or school shootings?
(its over 432)
America's identity as a "melting pot of the world" has made it so that foods from all over the world can be centralized all over the world, I live in a relatively small town and just in my city there are countless Italian, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Filipino, Chinese, and Mexican restaurants. Does that mean that those are all American foods now? The only truly American foods would be stuff like burgers, fries, and barbecue. If a British dude was to set up a barbecue pit in London does that make it British food now? If an Indian dude were to start a burger chain does that make it Indian food? And even among burgers, fries, hot dogs, and barbecue and all the other foods that are considered "American", barbecue is basically the only food that is unique to the US, the rest you can find of equal quality in any other country in the world.
American food for the most part is not original, but there are some exceptions. For example, Barbecue. The place barbecue was invented was the Caribbean iirc, and that spread up North into what is now the United States. However, a few different regions made some changes to the food that made it unique. For example, Memphis and Kansas City are two cities well known for having great BBQ, but the styles and tastes tend to vary between them. Another example is the Cajun/Creole cuisine. Cajuns/Creoles were mainly French, Caribbean, or Spanish so the Caribbean spices mixed up with Spanish spices and French methods. Additionally, there were certain animals that were native to or abundant in Louisiana such as Crawfish or Crayfish, shrimp because of the Gulf of Mexico, and catfish. Combining the styles and spices of the different cultures with the local wildlife created a new cuisine unique to Southeastern Louisiana. I'm sure there are more examples that I do not know or cannot think of, but this is my take. Also, feel free to correct me on anything bc this was all based on memory xD
