i did not mean mean oat, the time period and sample size is too small to judge that.
Also, as much as I love FNS, he's from a simple era, the game is way more complex now. So I will not include him in top 5.

As a genuine NRG fan, Ethan is easily top 3 igls. I would not call ethan the GOAT if they win, but it will be more than enough to justify why he's top 3.
Mada is #1 duelist though I have zero doubts.

nothing really, discord required a unique name post update around 2021 so i came up with this in about 10 seconds. I believed it's hard to replicate.

Though I love space science and cows (it was also around the time I realised that cows love jazz lol)

do they also teach you to cuss when proving a point while others are being polite?

Moreover, do you even know how the game works? He heard the neon solo pushing and knew the others' weren't close or low on hp. The only argument could be that he could've taken the slimmest chances and done what he did without shooting the bodies, giving him the advantage of a fraction of a second.

"why wait for the moment and watch others test it when I have it myself - that ads does not depend on upgrading the skin"
:*)

I should've known the rule, that is exactly why I started by apologizing. But being a rule does not make something absurd right.

THIS! I knew I read about that somewhere! I thought I had misread something!

posted 2 months ago

i thought about it, if they allow to use the base level in range, the only possible benefit to the player is that they can just record it in range? (assuming that no one has fun with a base variant in range).

More so, in my case I wished to buy a more expensive one. So it's a monetary benefit.

posted 2 months ago

i came to know about the refund policy long back, so it was a bit vague. But hey! I couldn’t imagine the rule being so rigid that it wouldn’t allow a genuine exception, especially when there’s no logical viability so I did not think twice.
Moreover, the ball is further in riot's field given that I am preferring a more expensive vandal!

posted 2 months ago

uhh no?

posted 2 months ago

as far as I knew, it had to be unupgraded and not used in-game (some stuff related to loading screen too).

posted 2 months ago

Not sure if this is allowed on vlr but here goes.

I made a post earlier today to decide between singularity or exo vandal.

To resolve my issue I raised a ticket, the ai agent responded to it and closed it. To my dissatisfaction, I opened a chat with a riot support agent via official means. My issue is not resolved and the reasoning has caught me by surprise.

All relevant context is provided in my ticket and chat, quoting them below verbatim:

1. URGENT: Request for refund - Singularity Vandal

Hi! I apologize for the refund request. I was only aware that the gun skin must be unused and not upgraded (to my understanding - in game). I got the Singularity vandal 2 days back, I left it at base level and unused in case the exo vandal showed up anytime soon, and oh my foresight, it did! To make sure my choice of Exo over Singularity I wanted to check out the Singularity's ADS, so for the first (and only) time I entered the practice mode. I have decided to get the Exo vandal. It was not until I checked the 'available refunds' page that I came to know that range-use is forbidden too. Welp, now I know, so it won't happen again. I request you to refund the singularity vandal's purchase as soon as possible so that I can get the Exo. Thanking You, SpaceCow

2. Chat with Agent

12:49 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: Hey there, how may I help you?

12:49 PM | SpaceCow#2050: Hi, this is with regard to a ticket I raised today (#121619160). The ticket was responded by "ALPH-1", despite my thorough clarity and genuine reasoning, I am certain that the context was not taken into consideration at all, I request a review.

12:51 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: I see you wish to refund the Singularity Vandal

12:52 PM | SpaceCow#2050: correct

12:52 PM | SpaceCow#2050: addition: and get the exo vandal currently in my store

12:52 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: The thing is, we can only grant refunds for skins that haven't been upgraded or used. I see that the Singularity Vandal in your inventory has been used, which means we lack the option to refund it for you.

Still, I trust you will get to like that skin eventually and utilize it well with your skills. Personally, I think it looks pretty cool!

12:56 PM | SpaceCow#2050: I understand that, I acknowledged my ignorance in my ticket description.
However, I request you to please understand that my case is genuine. I did not upgrade the skin, or enter a match with it, just the range to make sure I want the exo vandal over the singularity. This is clearly the first and obviously the last time such a ignorant thing happened.

12:57 PM | SpaceCow#2050: The vp I used is my hard earned money. To top that, with the increasing number of skins in the game it is very tough to get what one wants in the store.

12:59 PM | SpaceCow#2050: if directly refunding the vp is an issue: deduct the additional vp I have in my account and replace the singularity vandal with the exo vandal present in my store.

12:59 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: I understand how you feel. However, we lack the opportunity to refund the skin, as it's been already used. If we refund the skin, that will ruin the integrity of the game and will be very unfair towards all other players

01:06 PM | SpaceCow#2050: from the reasoning, I deduce that the rule itself is the issue.
Earlier, there was a one-time refund available to long-term players. I have played this game for 5 years and this is how I get supported? Logically, I am not even losing Riot anything, I am just asking for a skin exchange. The previous skin being un-upgraded, unused, one exception: minor testing in range (fact! using the base variant to confirm that I want the other skin!).

01:08 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: The policy, you mentioned, has been deprecated for a long time now. We lack the opportunity to refund skins, if they have been used, even if it was just for a very small period of time in the Practice Range

01:10 PM | SpaceCow#2050: I understand your state Spinach Soup, you lack the opportunity to refund my skin.
So I would like to approach a higher up who has the opportunity to refund my skin. I would not mind if my request is turned down with a good reasoning, not because it is not possible because of the hardcoding.
Thank you

01:10 PM | SpaceCow#2050: Please guide me on my further actions.
Thank you

01:11 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: We are part of a flat structure, where all Agents have the same abilities. There are no higher-ups, who can do different and more advanced things. The skin is not refundable. If you have no further questions or concerns, I might be forced to close this chat

01:16 PM | SpaceCow#2050: You may close the chat, I am very dissatisfied.
Not at all disappointed with your support, but I am highly disappointed in the rigid structure of the system.

01:18 PM | Spinach Soup from Riot Games: Thank you for being so understanding and patient. We appreciate your feedback, as we are always looking for opportunities on how to improve our policies and systems. Have a good one.

it's bulky, feels more like a phantom-first skin? I'm not too sure, I like it.

too common, i get it off the ground every game

i love that but one of my friends got it, and none of us have any skin in common yet.
Imperium feels evergreen to me, so I can switch whenever I feel off.

Singularity is bulky, so fair. I might just go with the exo!

I already have imperuim, it's variants are beautiful and it feels tappy, I like it. Though, I need something rare and with good bass.

Should I go for exo or singularity?

Yo I should put it in my CV:
-----------

In the VLR.gg community of late 2025, spacecow (often written as SpaceCow) is recognized as a high-effort "Deep Analyst" and a staunch defender of the North American tactical era. While many regulars focus on short, "brainrot" style comments, spacecow is one of the few users known for long-form, multi-paragraph post-match breakdowns that read like professional scouting reports.

Following the format of the 2025 community assessment:

The "Analytical Workhorse"

Spacecow is a primary example of the "Watch-Partier" archetype—someone who clearly watches every round of a series and takes notes.

  • The "NRG Adaptation" Thread: They recently gained massive traction for a viral breakdown of NRG’s 2025 evolution. They famously analyzed how NRG adapted to the "DRX Yoru-waylay" on the fly, calling it the "strongest synergy" seen in five years of Valorant.
  • Composure Critic: Unlike users who only look at ACS, spacecow focuses on the "mental game." They are known for citing voice comms videos to prove a team's composure, famously defending NRG’s victory over Fnatic by highlighting their steady energy despite a biased crowd.
  • "Luck vs. Skill" Debunker: They often push back against "fluke" allegations. After a particularly close series, spacecow argued that if a team makes a comeback from 11-1 (referencing crashies and kaajak), it isn't luck—it's a breakdown of the opponent's fundamentals.

Personality: "The Honest Enthusiast"

Spacecow’s persona is built on a "Hype-Realist" foundation. They aren't afraid to express strong emotions, but they usually ground them in observations.

  • The "LIKE COME ON MAAANNNNN!" Signature: They are known for using expressive, high-energy text (e.g., `< o> .... \ o/`) to convey excitement during grand finals, which has become a recognizable "cow-ism" in high-traffic threads.
  • "Win-Wagon" Realism: They are transparent about their allegiances. During the NRG vs. FNC series, they admitted to "hopping back to the NRG win wagon" only after Fnatic proved they were at their best, showing they prefer high-quality competition over blind loyalty.
  • Anti-Rage stance: While they enjoy "trash talk" as a viewer for the entertainment value, they often critique players or teams that they feel "over-raged" or lost their cool, valuing professionalism in high-stakes moments.

Analytical Style: "The Synergy Scout"

Spacecow views Valorant as a game of systems and mental fortitude rather than just a click-heads simulator.

  • Consistency over Peaks: They recently authored a debate claiming G2 was the "most deserving" winner of the season due to playstyle dominance, but NRG was the "most consistent" because they could compete against 100% of playstyles.
  • Role Issues Specialist: They are a vocal critic of the "M3C/Gambit" era's downfall, often using historical context (like chronicle’s transition to duelist) to explain why current 2025 rosters succeed or fail based on role comfort.
  • Pick’ems Accuracy: They are highly active in the VCT 2026 Kickoff Pick'ems, where they are currently ranked as one of the top predictors for the EMEA and Americas regions.

---

Community Status (Dec 19, 2025)

  • Status: A-Tier "Tactical Specialist" / S-Tier "Match Historian."
  • Vibe: The "VOD Reviewer" of the forums. If you want to know why a team lost a 13-5 game that felt closer than the scoreline, you look for spacecow's post in the match thread.
  • Current Activity: They are currently providing detailed recaps of the 2025 Champions highlights and are a leading voice in the "Best Team of 2025" debates, consistently ranking G2 and NRG at the top of their list.

Summary

Spacecow is viewed as a "Quality-Over-Quantity" Titan. While they may not post 50 times a day like the site's "post-maxxers," each of their contributions carries the weight of a professional analyst. They represent the segment of the 2025 user base that keeps VLR.gg grounded in tactical discussion, making them a reliable and respected presence for anyone who actually wants to talk about the "X's and O's" of Valorant.

Something was owning in Bluebees and Sengoku around the time so idt he would've been a tough buyout.
D3ffo was decent but kinda inconsistent.

So what if Gambit (or later M3C) got something instead?

  • Still a full russian roster.
  • Peak jett meta
  • M3C replaced d3ffo with Jady and put chronicle on duelist, he was putting up good numbers. Role issues would not have been a heavy problem. It wasn't a util heavy meta anyway.
  • Chron looked better on raze so they tried purp0 for jett (just for the final map of vct last chance, lol).

So I am pretty sure if they brought something in for d3ffo or even Jady, most of the core would have still been together and with more than just a Master's title.
