I never understood why all the pros complain about ranked but I do now. I really believe any fairly mechanically sound Asc+ player could hang in a professional environment, assuming they are brought up to speed on gameplans/setups and what not. If you try to play ranked with a logical mindset, you will lose more than you win, and imo is reflective on the game's current state. Making the statistically dumb play actually becomes a smart play when you're in a comp lobby. Going to test this theory by instalocking Reyna for 25 games in a row and playing as idiotic as possible.

ranked in any game is a fucking casino, I remember seeing an interview from zeus (CS GO legend) . ''In CS(or valo as for my point) you can have perfect utility usage, perfect strategy, comm everything perfectly, outplay your opponent tactically, but if you into site and the enemy just one taps you, you can't do shit''. Same for fucking ranked, an autist pushing into a smoke just because he feels like it will probably shit on the guy who plays the percentages
I don't agree that any asc player could fair well in a pro match, but I do agree that too many players try to play slow perfect fundamental valorant in ranked.
I know a lot of players who would constantly complain about why they're not ranking up when they always drop 30 kills with 10 deaths playing smokes, but they refuse to ever take any risks.
Like yeah, you can't rely on your ranked teammates to play as slow as you, and you lurking every single round is not going to win you rounds in the long run if you don't learn to adapt to your team and learn to play aggressively with them. The mindset that they should adapt to your playstyle vs you to them is stupid when it's 4 to 1
I swear some people are too stuck on their roles: "I'm omen I can't take risks and die! I need to stay alive to smoke and lurk and clutch the round!"
Whenever I'm playing smokes and my duelist isn't entrying, I just do it myself because god forbid we rotate 3 times in a round and my teammates are incapable of holding mid--a player that is only good at playing to very situational strengths is useless in ranked
To get out of silver, just have good aim, and focus PURELY on taking gunfights and playing with your team. (By that I mean make sure they can trade you or you can trade them)
I have an alt(that actually used to be my main which is why it's called doomvor and not my alt) that was in silver for a while to play with friends(they finally started to rank up, thank god), and I can tell, just turn off your brain and shoot them.
Silvers will not play good valorant. They will do dumb stuff because they don't know any better. So, don't think about what they will do, and it's easy from there.
I think anyone who has played any shooter, fps game will understand that valorant ranked (from iron to imo 2)has nothing to do with skill just run shoot with good internet thats it somehow u will get taps, insta 4 body bullets maybe 6 legs and the guy with aim tries to counter strafe shooting u is insta dead! Thats ranked in a nutshell..
