I'm curious, i'm bad at drinking water :(
bronzil_enjoyer [#5]i have never drunk that
I get it, you're embarrassed saying it, it's okay man. Just know you should be drinking something else buddy.
Elso [#6]I get it, you're embarrassed saying it, it's okay man. Just know you should be drinking something else buddy.
😶
XanXanUk [#7]How do you get your water? Can you drink tap water where you live?
Yeah I drink tap water and sparkling water. Not much though, just got back to drinking sparkling water and trying to drink more tap water aswell.
skibidiyesyes [#11]Overhydration is as bad as dehydration by the way, just drink water whenever you feel thirsty.
I only feel thirsty while eating though, that's bad no?
Elso [#10]Yeah I drink tap water and sparkling water. Not much though, just got back to drinking sparkling water and trying to drink more tap water aswell.
when you have a problem remembering to drink water just remember that you have easy acces to water from your tap and in many many places people dont and it's harder for them
i used to drink 2-3 liters a day when i was young and my tap water was drinkable
good times!
skibidiyesyes [#20]What do you do when you start to feel thirsty
I don't feel thirsty other than when I eat something sometimes and I drink just a glass of water, I usually drink like 1 small glass of water every day.

So you drink whenever you feel thirsty then, which mean you are drinking enough water daily, which means that you aren't bad at drinking water. Your body will let you know whether or not it needs water, you don't need to overthink it. If you feel like you're experiencing symptoms of dehydration or something then just drink an extra cup as you eat.
I'm only telling you this btw so you don't decide to suddenly drink 4 L of water daily straight into hyponatremia from reading this thread.

so you don't think water can help my depression, laziness, lack of motivation, fatigue.
I do also think my body has been trying to tell me something for a long time but I don't understand it :/

Now its not drinkable? Why

I mean I'm not a doctor so if you feel like drinking more water will help your issues then drink some extra cups whenever you eat.

just tryna try it out until april where I will be in contact with a doctor.

Boiling a pot of water for consumption every morning is not that hard tbh, i mean is hecking amazing to drink directly from the tap, but it's very possible to still drink enough water if not.
Gqviria [#32]Boiling a pot of water for consumption every morning is not that hard tbh, i mean is hecking amazing to drink directly from the tap, but it's very possible to still drink enough water if not.
it's not hard, but it's still a barrier
small, but a barrier
unknown_trash [#41]Have half of the people on this thread not heard of water poisoning? I'm pretty sure I would die if I drank more than 2.5L a day every day
that's just a myth
Gqviria [#32]Boiling a pot of water for consumption every morning is not that hard tbh, i mean is hecking amazing to drink directly from the tap, but it's very possible to still drink enough water if not.
if water in your area is not good then why not use a water purifier?
unknown_trash [#47]It really isn't though. Search it up.
yeah that's like 3-4Ls in a couple of hours though
i think i average like... 2-3.5Ls a day depending on activity, weather and what I'm eating, I'm perfectly fine lol
though iirc it does depend on the... type of water? Some shit to do with salt content or something

not entirely true.
bricky_ [#66]3 liters/day at least
on a good day when i'm trying to be a healthy person 5 lt/day
Nice!
Elso [#52]I've mythbusted it before though
I really don't think drinking 5L of straight water is good for your health at all. The least it can do is make you feel very bloated and need to go toilet a lot. But water poisoning is definitely not fake. In fact, its recommended that you not just drink water, but also get water from other parts of your diet such as fruits and vegetables. Drinking 5L of just water every day will definitely cause issues in the long term. If I'm wrong, and drinking that much still water is safe and fine, then by all means go ahead and correct me.

You are certainly wrong
ThunderBird [#46]if water in your area is not good then why not use a water purifier?
usually it's a good chunk of money in comparison to your salary in such places
Zerphyr1 [#61]not entirely true.
Had a doctor tell me that when I first started overhydrating though
yuriito [#83]A lot bro, like 2L per day
Only way to deal with 30°C+ during 🇧🇷 summer/autumn
2L is not lot bro !!
skibidiyesyes [#84]Had a doctor tell me that when I first started overhydrating though
ye he probably said ONLY drink when ur hydrated, this probably won't cause overhyrdation but you can still be dehydrated even if you only drink when ur body tells you too.
dawnmoer [#99]I struggled with drinking enough water so I downloaded an app called "WaterMinder" and it reminds me to drink water every 30 minutes. It might sound stupid, but that little reminder is actually enough for me to take a few sips. Highly recommend if you wanna get into the habit of hydrating!
Wait what.
Elso [#94]Consistently!?!?!
Yes. I go to the gym 2x a day, each session I drink 2 to 2,5L. I also have a bottle with 3,5L capacity that I drink, sometimes refilling.
