SEN vs FNC
SEN ban Ascent
FNC ban Split
SEN picks Haven
FNC picks Bind
Icebox is the decider
SEN wins Haven (honestly I think FNC might win Haven as well if TenZ doesn't perform)
FNC wins Bind
FNC wins Icebox
FNC 2-1
(I think the map picks/bans actually work out a lot for FNC, since Split is one of SEN's best maps at the moment, and Ascent seems to be one of FNC's weaker ones, at least compared to their Icebox, Haven, and Bind)
Finally! The NA vs EU game. They are my favorite teams from both regions too.
I'm not so sure if SEN are ballsy enough to not ban bind, but if they do, it'll be VERY interesting. They've revamped their playstyle on that map quite a lot for challengers finals & challengers 2. I just want to see Brimstone vs Astra on that map.
Otherwise boring veto to be expected, FNC ban split, SEN ban bind. Unless FNC have something up their sleeve for split(SEN did get 13-1'd by C9B during challengers finals on that map & lost to ABX). It feels like overall the maps left would be even, no one stomping on paper, except if something crazy happens in the veto, maybe a ascent|icebox ban. They've also got the benefit of analysing FNC's match yesterday(though not much to gain from that imo), so I would expect them to stick to those maps.
I'm expecting something to fundamentally change how SEN are approaching these maps, Shahz already hinted towards that, but I don't think what they bring could shake up FNC comp-wise, it has to be in the way they approach the game; maybe they have some set-plays and setup changes planned, who knows.
If FNC were to lose, I'm expecting this to play something in the way of FNC vs GMB. SEN are going to hard infostarve FNC and if FNC lose those rounds, it's because of their overconfidence in their reads. Once that happens to them a couple of times FNC start trying to play SEN's game and their midrounding will crumble vs SEN. That's the main loss potential imo. Obviously very oversimplified. I have a hard time seeing SEN just powering through FNC, their main strong point has always seemed to be modulating between bursts of aggression and infostarving.
I'm expecting a FNC win, they just look too good. When they have their reads down, it's surreal how they take over the map. No way telling how that's going to play out exactly, because SEN is such a tricky team. Whatever happens, the lower bracket is going to have a rough time with either of these teams.
I really can't tell who wins this, I am Sen biased, but FNATIC are insane. SEN looked weak on split and icebox during challengers and FNATIC are pretty insane on haven and have arguably the best bind in the world. Sen have a decent ascent but honestly could go either way. If Sick and TenZ both show up, Sen maybe could win Haven. If not, FNATIC 2-1.
Why are people taking these games personally?? Yeah its perfectly fine to be a hardcore supporter of a team but giving hate to other teams, regions etc is not worth it!! I think we should all crave for good competition, awesome plays rather than giving hate to regions....being a sen supporter I didn't like how the chat was continuously targeting EU ...I mean if not the best they are the second best right :)
Glad TenZ dropped 49 in 2 on LAN, now everyone can shut the fuck up LOL.
Fnatic played really well, I think they just need more time to gel as a unit. Maybe next Masters or by Champions they will be scary good. The talent is there, they just need to work on setups/retakes as a team (opposite problem of TL)
