what do the partners look like for 2027

EMEA - pretty good except BBL.- I think M8 will be a riot partner going forward over BBL and apeks might be,, if not theres loads of stable vintage CS orgs that would likely be ready for valorant. I dont see BBL recovering at all

APAC - from what i understand most of the orgs here are solid, just from what I know about profit margins and viewership, if global fail to make playoffs boom might be the new partner, since riot seems to approve of them

China - cant speculate here, i do know chinese orgs tend to be government funded or funded by billionaires. and overall chinese esports is far more stable in other esports .

Americas - Kinda obvious that EG will be put down, C9 is arguable, I'm going to assume they are good with financials, just arent budgeting anything for valorant atm, MiBR might be fucked based on competitiveness, other than that I see G2 replacing EG

im not totally sure if riot will have more partners come then, they should, All three regions would benefit from having 15 partners honestly, theres good enough teams and enough talent to fill them in all regions.

Can't say for others, but all else equal:
Zeta stays 100%
DFM 50% replaced by another Japanese org like Fennel or Sengoku or... Scarz 🤮🤮

Nah, japan will only get 1 slot

I think riot cares about money, japan = money in pacific. Also there are more orgs in japan that deserve that spot more than dfm.

If riot care about money, they dont make "Game Changers", cause who tf watch game Changers?!?

10k on japan yt official channel when zeta is playing. + twitch official jp valo and you get approximately 20k.

Also game changers is MORE likely to be an SDG project, no offense to gc enthusiasts

if I remember correctly it is more than what you said I remembered 41k or 44k viewers on Twitch or maybe YouTube I forgot which platform but it was when ZETA was flourishing and is one of the top dogs in APAC

Is this GC or just Zeta? Cause I don't remember zeta gc ever reached that peak 😅

Dang, just shows how valuable Zeta is imo, even in their shit phase they still get this much attention. Thank god Zeta actually sign good players now ( rumour)

unfortunately, Zeta right now is struggling in the scene (hopefully they get back up) resulting in their viewership going to 16k viewers or 15k viewers on Twitch

Actually can not wait for Astralis to make it into VCT 2027 and start another dynasty

I don't think Riot would let Astralis in

same thing as bleed

although i think bleed musta done some fucked up shit to be removed right now, or maybe its because bleed isnt a partner who knows

I agree mostly, I think apeks are more likely than m8 since apeks have been quite committed to cs historically.
Americas has quite a few candidates to replace EG and potentially C9 like M80 TSM Shopify (mxs), I'd think shopify is most likely bc of their commitment and success in gamechangers

#9
Mortadelo

Apeks is not getting in and have withdrawn operations from Cs and all games in general but Valorant. Plus they have 7 fans and they're all related to staff members
M8 has sold the 2nd most bundles and is way more likely

#10

oh i had no clue, have they published the bundle sales? I want to see it if they have

#18
Aayan

Thanks, but I've seen this 😅 I thought they had maybe published it after all the sales had ended, since I'm sure a few probably changed by Sep 12th. But I guess it still could be fairly accurate so fair enough

i thought it was already reported m8 was going to continue to partner with Riot even after the 2 years but honestly i forgot

although i do think m8 was fairly uncompetitive this year so idk if its guaranteed for M8 to become partnered

#14
Aayan

yeah their performance was my main concern, but rumours around how they're building for next year gives me a bit more confidence in them

#16

riot prob said if they ditch trying to be french they get to stay in t1 lol

#15
Mortadelo

Frags

It's not reported as far as I know

And it's not 2 years anymore. They could get relegated this year and there wouldn't be much Riot could do until 2027

#17

wym they should be going back down after this season no matter what no? is there a chance they stay if they perform?

#19
Aayan
0
Frags

nah not no matter what, if they make playoffs they play in ascension and if they make champs they stay (I think)

#20
Mortadelo
0
Frags
+

Yes there is a chance they stay

It's complicated but to put it briefly
All ascension teams that go to champs this year renew contract 1 more year
All ascension teams that make playoffs get to defend their spot in Ascension
All ascension teams that don't make playoffs are automatically relegated no matter what

#23
gamergirl
0
Frags

i see why they had to change shit up then probably wanna secure things

#24
Mortadelo

Yeah, I don't think players would have accepted if they were automatically relegated

shopify is a good shout tbf didnt think of that dont think they should pickup m80, youd want an org that is able to splash on moves if theyre available

id say tsm and G2 should be partners if c9 leaves aswell as EG but c9 might focus on valorant more if theres better roster opportunities

To be fair whatwe have today is almost perfect everywhere
EMEA -spanishOrg +germanOrg (it's a shame they have none while Spain have 3)
AMER -EG +G2 (Obvious)
APAC -RRQ +BME (Boom never deceive and was always one of best ID team, while RRQ was still PH few years ago)

If we expand to 16 teamswith 2 more partenered
EMEA +CISteam +MENAorg
AMER +mexicanOrg +M80/FQ/SR
APAC +OCEteam +VNteam

BOOM has been investing in valorant since 2020 and never leave the scene. they always qualified in sea/apac. they qual to champs 2022. they fight for ascension for 2 years with good result(2th and 4th). boom as organization put a lot effort, time, money into this game. if there is only 1 organization that deserve franchising, the only answer is BOOM

#35

Has C9 ever done anything wrong besides the low salary arguments (which imo as ong as their paying on time and doing the minimum at least there should be no reason to remove them)

if anything in the future C9 will likely just end up being a likely option for many T2 players who just want to be in T1 (regardless of salary) while the other T1 orgs are just gonnna pay more for top tier current talent and the absolute best of T2.

americas - more central american rep
emea - more cis rep
apac - more sea central asia rep
cn - keep it the same

Ok hear me out, now that Virtus Pro have moved operations to Armenia from being in Russia that likely contributed to them not getting a spot previously surely they're a solid shot if some teams don't make it past review in EMEA.

They have money
They have the fanbase
They have the history
They seem pretty stable
Seem pretty ethical in how they treat their players, I mean the payed a roster to compete in CS when they couldn't even use their name.

does MIBR give a shit about any esports. Like they're owned by Immortals and some of the contract / decision making shit immortals has done makes EG holding onto player contracts look like a player positive organization.
