I agree that there are a large number of issues that sadly go almost entirely ignored in Parliament. The chamber has honestly become a stage for Trudeau to flex his drama degree and for poilevre to show social science undergrads how to abuse Qualitative information with no sources in public forums.
There's clear corruption happening in the federal government, the stories that came out a few months ago were more than likely the tip of the iceberg imo.

European nature was maybe one of the most unfortunate environments for attempting to start some kind of big successful society, which was acknowledged many times through history by Asian and middle eastern empires.
I have privilege that I was born with that I acknowledge that I didn't directly earn, and privilege that I've earned so far in my life. I'm saying I don't have "too much" because all of it was earned... Whether 2000 years ago by my ancestors, or by me. Which I'm grateful for, hence why I take pride in their history.

I lived in Texas most of my life. Since OP is college-age they'll be fine. It's the primary school systems that are going nuts with politics primarily
I love Texas dearly and it's my home but I would not want to live there in its current state and I'm happy I moved states for work
Vermont's only real problem is that its population is very very small, otherwise it's a lovely state and close enough in climate to Canada that it wouldn't be too unfamiliar
