LPL needs this worlds win, its literally in China and China already delayed the talent pipeline development with the curfew for minors. New aspiring pros need to wait till they're 18 to even join orgs as trainees, whereas Korea can still develop their younger talents in their academy/challenger system while underage. China isn't going to have many future chances and investors will be even more turned off if they can't win on home soil. I literally think EDG winning Seoul last year gave hope and invited future investment into the chinese valorant scene.

DRX 100T and Heretics in terms of valorant

I guess all the streamers are the VIPs then.

I think it’s fresh in terms of narrative and game design, in term of game length it’s about 3 hours but its well worth it imo. It’s basically another spin on game subversion, without giving away too much (though the trailer itself already gives away a lot of the mystique behind it).

In terms of fun, I found it really really fun.

What’s your thoughts on Pony Island?

posted 1 week ago

A league team from LCP (south east Asia) which is now the 5th major region in LoL esports. Think SEA without Korea.

People are acting like DRX and BBL are bums in Group B which I find insulting.

Tbf Sen got the same raw deal last year at Champs, why are we acting like Sen always has it easy?

Outside of Potter and JoshRT, what are your suggestions if you think Kaplan needs to go?

posted 2 weeks ago

Man I don’t want EMEA Val to go back to being 1 team region like LEC has in majority of the past several years.

It’s okay man, PRX was bad for a while and now they’re good, TH will come back stronger eventually.

posted 1 month ago

So if TH loses to WOL, would people stop calling China weak and would that make Sen’s run of Swiss less fraudulent in people’s eyes? I guess you can call TH overrated but I rather the alternative explanation where we just ran into strong teams.

He did well on Neon at Champs 2024 and played Neon a ton pre-franchising.

TMV is going to hate watch Sen on a level he’s never touched before.

Bro TH doesn’t need anymore jinxing, stop it.

EDIT: Of course OP puts on a Fnatic flair after this

I know I’m just depressed from TH crashing out at the finish line everytime.

2022 off-season ._.

When’s the last time TH ever won something? :(

posted 1 month ago

They always need a clout matchup as an opener, just like Sen vs GenG at Seoul.

posted 1 month ago

They still got a huge contender window, better than watching Clippers fumble their 1st round vs Nuggets and growing a year older.

People are working, probably better to check later tonight.

Good thing spurs got gifted yet another #2 pick, they’re building up a dynasty atm.

Honestly it’s going to be hard for Rb and Zest imo.

Talon didn’t even play a Korean team at champs though.

posted 2 months ago

What would TH revenge arc even look like? Just beating GenG? EDG didn’t even make Toronto and they beat the rest of the competition last year.

posted 2 months ago

Isn’t that what Sen is doing right now?

Monyet - “Jingg over me???”

posted 2 months ago

So you’re saying everyone should just bandwagon and only support teams that are hot/winning now? That’s a screwed up mentality.

posted 2 months ago

G2 vs EG match is still ongoing man, G2 still can make it…

posted 2 months ago

Maybe they spent all their time prepping for Sen and MIBR and didn’t expect to have both their weaknesses exposed and having to prepare for both 100T and EG. Not to mention Potter is a nightmare to have to prepare against once her players are confident.

Who was the other one?

posted 2 months ago

He heard that the throne in the underworld is vacant and came to claim.

Only been map 1, too early to overreact.

Tack Crashies to that, he’s experienced the same journey.

posted 2 months ago

Sacy wouldn’t want you to curse Sentinels either.

posted 2 months ago

They don’t have the depth to contend with the wolves, you already saw the lakers put out their starting 5 out there for the entire first half to try stay in the game. They don’t have a deep enough bench to stem the bleeding while their starters rest nor are their starters that great at defense.

posted 2 months ago

No one’s underestimating GenG, they won a masters trophy last year and have 3/5 of last years roster.

posted 2 months ago

No, 100T needs to win

posted 2 months ago

Isn’t Bang half Brazilian on his dads side?

posted 2 months ago

Bang and Cortezia do not belong on this list.

posted 3 months ago

People probably stuck on KRU's reputation for dropping the bag during regular season while making a run of a lifetime to secure a spot to Champs every year. That being said they look good last year and this year as well.

posted 3 months ago

Please don't jinx it, I don't remember SEN ever beating Potter's EG in regular season, I swear they pull the greatest bs out of nowhere and reverse sweep Sen.

posted 3 months ago

Ngl im surprised that there's been 3 different players named by different people in this thread, is Sen really that well rounded?

Bang catching strays for no reason

Verno wasn't on G2 though...

Zellsis is going to be so happy.

Part of the struggle is with Valorant being a Riot game, so for many casual fans they’ve most likely seen LoL esports and their ecosystem. This is also probably their first fps they’ve watched so seeing Korea dominate in the first split of APAC and securing a masters trophy as well as Asian teams winning the last two internationals prior, they probably see parallels and start speculating from there. Too early to tell since there’s distinct parity at the end of playoffs but in terms of looking at winners of each event only that’s what most casual fans hone in on.
