Both of these players are the most consistent on their respective teams
No flashback, no getting out of groups at Champs
No smoggy, no winning a round when KK loses his opening duel
Ah, makes sense.
Crazy to see Cortezia's HS% stats, in that case.
As someone who enjoyed the vast array of teams that were title contenders from EMEA pre-franchising, the standard of play and individual level brought to games during franchising has plummeted.
Not much of an exaggeration.
Crazy take.
Ik it isn't counter-strike, but it's crazy to me that 30% is 'too high', while around 50% is the expected average in cs2.
Yes, 7/20 is bad, regardless of HS%, but if someone gets 25 kills in a map, below 150 adr, and has an abysmal HS%, I'd assume they're just baiting/trading. Yeah, important fundamental, but anyone could do it, at least at the pro level.
First season watching valorant?
Agreed.
Demon1 has better aim, imo, but aspas is better at getting kills consistently, better agent pool, and honestly just seems more vocal.
Idk how any duelist can get signed to a VCT franchise and only play 1 agent in that class.
It costs more money to re-sign players like derke (after his individual performance last season esp.), yay (post-2022 season), and others with a proven track record, than signing a promising talent from T2.
I'd guess that signing kaajak from apeks was still cheaper than re-signing derke. eSports players have relatively short careers on average, I honestly would encourage all of them to go for that bag if they aren't big on streaming, going to events, et cetera.
Personally, I'm interested to see how EMEA T2 talents play, since most teams took chances to avoid paying inflated salaries for rosters w/ vets.
I think GX will be a much better team this year than in past iterations, BBL I have little faith in with Jampii being IGL tbh, but I like their new signings too.
fr, the stats speak for themselves

Zekken definitely deserves credit tho, oxy fell off hard in split 2
Oxy was easily the best duelist in Americas last season next to Aspas.
Nah, he was good at making space, being agro. Did what leaf couldn't during the raze meta, which is why they chose to sign him.
As the user you replied to said, he just didn't have high enough peaks in high stakes games. Jawg is an immediate upgrade because he has shown to have the same skill set, but with more consistency, a broader agent pool, and greater highs.
I actually really like the new GE roster. Good acquisitions out of T2. Probably what the org should have done from day 1, tbh.
Why is Verno on here?
He'll be top 1 this year, all good. Don't jump the gun.
Hottest CS prospect in the world rn, and they still have Donk. They'll probably sell him to a big CIS/EU org, make bank, and sign another anchor in Magixx's place.
Just makes more sense. Both donk and Kyou inhabit a lot of the same roles.
Never had a kink for senior BDSM, but if you insist....
Tex is a really good duelist, don't sleep on him.
Biggest mistake here imo is keeping C0M as your lurking sova, and putting Natank on senti.
Either/or, they'll be the 2024 NRG this season. Lots of talent, but poor agent pools when looked at collectively.
Past that meta now. You need an agro duelist to be a competitive VCT team, there's enough passive firepower in the other roles nowadays.
He's a good jett, but that's literally it. Natank/tex are actually both better options for making space.
Fr, turkey has the only T2 Challengers scene that seems sustainable. Sucks that players like Ruxic, sociable were in jail so long, but id much rather see orgs stick around.
Fr
God knows how he was on a VCL team last year
End of s2 was just a set up for the next season though. They had to give new anime viewers something to go off of for the overarching story arch before taking 1+ year(s) to release another season
At least it wasn't as bad as the 1 season highschool fighting anime that CR did. That shit made zero sense.
Facts.
People were literally scared to peek.
Why does vro have 'playing for fnatic' in his bio
Idk how anyone can continue to support C9 in 2024 tbh
MIBR 100% gonna have to make changes imo, but I feel like furia performs well this year, at least in the regular season
"She is a female dog who will not live long. I hope she recovers from leukemia soon" 🤣🤣🤣
Accurate, definitely unknown quantities this off season.
Favored teams are accurate
Honestly don't even know what to do with lev/mibr. Both could flop or be goated this season.
I honestly think Icy was the second best option next to Jaw for the type of duelist that G2 wanted this year. We'll see how he performs on a less formidable roster.
Show me more than 1 series where neT was an actual difference maker for M80 or G2 before that. Every single win he's bottom of the stats, and it's not too different in losses.
He's extremely mid. I'd rather see XXIF or another NA T2 senti get a chance.
This signing is just about who other players on the c9 roster are friends with. Garbage org.
it's cuz Sayonara was tearing up T2 EMEA VCL on different teams, primarily as a flash initiator.
People probably said the same about Leo during the early Guild days (when it was all Swedish w/ bonkar and yacine).
Fr, probably zekken, oxy, verno, hm: demon1
Yes and no. He's like a BR cryocells. Good mechanics, but not always explosive enough like you need.
Would be a great smokes player imo.
If they got rid of Asuna and found a better flex/ fully flexible duelist (not just jett), then they'd have a great shot at being a top team this year.
Otherwise I love +Zander, and keeping the rest of the core from last year.
Pretty sure we'll see cryo and asuna trade duelist / flex roles again map by map this year. Cryo has the aim that we might even see them pull chamber out if it works for them on some maps.
IMO MIBR was using their sticker money from the CS major to finance signing aspas. I feel like his experience over the rest of the team will be a detriment more than a help. He'll perform well individually, but it'll be like watching Less on LOUD last year. No team building, all individual performance.
It'll be a fun game to watch. I'm interested to see how 100T perform w/ Zander. He can provide a lot more secondary calling than Bang did, and while I think he has a lower skill ceiling, he's way more consistent. Hopefully boosting plays better with some of the weight taken off his shoulders.
Tight with gov and ban. There isn't a crazy amount of good coaches outside of Korea in pacific imo.
They should pull the secret/rrq thing and steal an experienced emea or NA coach.
But, they'll have to know how apac teams play, can't be too rigid.
I still think n4rrate should be on init instead of senti.
The first two you just mentioned are super young, so not exactly fair. Neither have hit their ceilings yet.
