currently from what I've seen we have 4 GOAT contenders that get thrown around the place and get ranked differently. Just wanted to make a ranking and give my reasons as to why each other them are ranked where they are. A GOAT not only needs to be good but also needs to have achievements in the form of trophies or extremely high placements throughout the entirety of their career.

GOAT contenders: TenZ, Leo, Aspas, Chronicle

Ranking:

Chronicle - First person to have held 3 trophies, not only that but is hella consistent and is probably the GOAT right now. Also has held a trophy from 2021 and 2 from 2023 which adds to the "throughout the entirety of their career" factor.
TenZ - Dominated the first ever LAN and is currently the second best player on SEN after winning Madrid as well. He's below Chronicle because he went silent in the second half of 2021 and also 2022-2023 but woke back up in 2024. Has always been one of SEN's best players despite the poor performances SEN has had over the years.
Aspas - Only person on this list that has won the most important tournament of the year in Champs Istanbul and has also been consistently the best reaching 2nd-3rd in many tourneys, dropped the new kill record, and also been hella good in 2024. He's been good throughout his entire career which is why I ranked him higher than Leo who had a really good year and kind of went silent after.
Leo - Honestly probably should have ranked Leo higher on this list because he is Fnatic's best player but this is a GOAT ranking not a best player ranking and he has only found success in one year and never in any other. He and aspas are similar and can be interchangeable but I feel like aspas is just a bit higher ranked.

SEN played bad because of tenz in tandem with the team playing shit too. Teams weren't as good mechanically in NA back then so they definitely had enough skill to win some games even with their players

In terms of achievements, Aspas doesn't fall behind Chronicle that much due to the fact that he's the only one on this list who has won the most important tournament of the year (which in my opinion is worth ALOT more than the other ones, but I digress) and also has several top placements along with that. He also had far more of a consistent impact on his teams than any other player on this list. Putting Aspas below Tenz is an awful take. Achievements wise > Tenz (Once again Champs is THE valorant tournament along with the fact that Aspas has gotten more consistent top placements overall than Tenz). Impact wise > Tenz. With Chronicle there's an argument (although in my opinion a very small one), with Tenz, hell no and I hecking love Tenz.
