Both, the scouting talent is .... idk its good or bad since they recruited texture and monyet. The first year GE is trolling have all duelist in 1 team, the second year they bring 3 igl with 1 duelist and the ex duelist in the previous year who barely play. With their fans which is easily manipulated as I have seen from time to time, and the pressure they have given to their own team ends up in limiting their players potential. Just imagining as their player I will be spammed by countless harsh massage when I lose a game or perform badly 😭 dude it's a nightmare
it wasnt that troll last year, it was troll not making it a long term project, making questionable role selections idc about texture on kj bro was still good but forcing rossi on jett was not it, trolling with a 7 man roster, when they finally settled and chose the 5 they wanted, they lost 2-0 to rrq in a close game (not blaming rossi completely but if they had lf instead of him they prolly wouldve beaten rrq).
GE is just a little cringe. doing a "global" team. I just dislike not having a full indian team and giving indian talent a shot on the big stage. I don't care if they win or lose really I'm not indian but I would feel butt hurt too if the ONLY org from my country fields an entire roster of non native people. Wasnt RRQ trying to do something similar at start of franchising and they got so much hate from their indo community that they rolled back the roster changes.
But you must also realize that India is not currently a competitive region.
Even I would like to watch Indian players on stage, but not if they are going to lose every match like DFM
The best Indian team with 2 imports (from Phillipines) literally dominated the whole region last year, they hardly lost one or two Bo3.
Then, the same team (who dominated VCSA) just lost 0-4 in the group stage of Ascension.
This is not Olympics or World Cup

I feel like this isn't a fair comparison. the amount and quality of scrims that south asian teams get are nowhere near the same as the ones that even t2 t3 na or emea teams get. I mean, look at the talent drought in south american teams. they hardly come close in terms of talent pool compared to their na counterparts.
ofc this is all speculation on my part, but it makes the most sense on why things are the way they are.
I think we all obsess with stats a little too much but honestly Orangutan's ascension run wasn't as bad as 0-4 suggests.
They took maps off team which eventually ended top 3 and Bleed even won it all.
Also it must be noted Azys was ill and he never really could play to his potential that time.
Rvk was not the same back then ,he was in major slump.
I think after certain point of time their mental wasn't good enough and Rawfiul's consistency was big factor in them winning maps or getting rolled over.
I pretty firmly believe that if you put the same team in league with actual coach they will eventually become competitive.
Sure, but still, they would not have qualified for the playoffs even if they had won some matches.
I would love to see the SA team perform well this year.
But players have to show they are capable of performing well outside India
They can't wait and hope for GE to take them just because they are Indian

They are getting kicked around bcz their org messed them over. No 5th , Anti leaving, players on 100 ping, Rawfiul having worst time in his career.
When they were able to hv proper bootcamp in split 2 , they rawdogged every team on LAN.
Whoever will qualify for ascension from our country can't even take 15 rounds from them when they all play on equal footing
What about Cup 1 and the Qualifying rounds? RNT went undefeated yet lost. TR tried hard yet lost. MLT was just better that day IMO, or the other teams were just worse. I am damn sure whatever team qualifies split 2 will at least get 5-6th spot. If TS won a game against PRX once, that doesn't make them the better team.
I agree with you that whoever qualifies will get 5-6th this year its just that its my personal opinion that if any team in VCSA is capable of placing higher its that EG OG MLT core.
Regarding CUP 1 same issue they were bootcamped at dubai so were at disadvantage with no fixed 5th again. They played with Doxxer, Tranz and Whimp a match each since they couldnt secure excali back then.
I would agree abt them being better just for a day if I hadn't seen them do it every LAN time and again for years now. The MLT that played LAN was much more cleaner fundamentally than the grp stage MLT while both RNT and TR only bought new comps but no new strats to playoffs from grp stage. And as you must have noticed Paradox and Skrossi forget to aim whenever they reach LAN but were still ego fighting MLT which led to such destructive loss. If RNT played with discpline I am sure match would hv been closer since they had good firepower too.
The only reason Polvi is in GE rn, and Rossi got kicked is because Sp0n was with Polvi in his previous team, so they got him after removing both Rossi and Texture lmao. They even traded Monyet for Benkai lmao. The only good and meaningful addition IMO is Russ. I'm not supporting any kill threats given to players, but the trolling and criticism is needed. Benkai droned twice in a fucking 1v1 again TS, like as a passionate GE supported from 2021, I hate to see them in such spot. Other than GE, a team called VLT was also eligible for T1 contract, but Valo chose GE for some reason, I think if VLT was taken, we'd have a better chance of getting more indian players in the league. Also, unlike GE's CEO who hates Indians, I don't think VLT's CEO shares that same sentiments.
GE made it to T1 because of their run in vcl South Asia and they qualified for the all the APAC events
VLT didn't make it because of the comments their co-owner passed on the people who constantly brought Xhade's name to his stream

GE took texture and threw him on KJ for SKRossi to play Jett. I don't hate india, I hate on GE for trying to be a gimmick roster. If you are going to be a bad team, then at least help develop your scene. Is a team like DFM the best? No, but they are doing their best by repersenting and fielding from their own region. At least with Bleed I can see the potential and what they wanted from the roster, I just can't imagine the potential from either of the GE abominations they created.
Rossi fragged on a few few games tho, and it was because they couldn't make him play senti as Rossi was not in Korea, that's why both LF and Rossi played Duelist last season. If they had kept the last roster, things would have been better, LF is doing great, Ayrin was great IGL, Texture is Amazing(understatement), Monyet is goated, and Rossi is currently playing Flex in SA rn, so he could've fit right in. But, the management sucks. Also the coaches suck. It sucks that they didn't get Onur or Enghe who were both free at that time, Onur even approached Ge, but was ignored.
I would go for the 2nd option.

You forgot that Valorant Mobile is coming soon, and that game would wreak havoc in India and SEA countries. If Valorant is already in a good spot in India, it'd be easier for them to dive into the very competitive mobile gaming scene in India. They even have some kind of operational HQ based in Mumbai just for Valorant.
Instead of giving Japan 2 slots, one should've been given to Australia. Both the Japanese team are Mid-Low tier, one is worse than GE.

not fielding a 5 indian man roster is a good thing coz indian did not have the background. by background, I meant the higher competition. so Skrossi, who farmed there, failed hard in the real competition. LF managed to be stable a bit.
the thing is, the org clowned and baited their entire fanbase for months by hinting at bigger names and asking for retweets and stuff. and proceed to announce a bunch of mediocre players. so even before the results, fans were devastated. and after the results, well we are seeing the results all over the X.
Rossi failing hard is a very overstatement, he farmed GenG last year easily, and gave a tough competition to both PRX and DRX.
The problem was never Rossi, but the fact that he couldn't assimilate with the team as he couldn't reach Korea timely, also the immense pressure given to him by Indian fans, probably made it harder on him, which made him incosistent. PRX is going through the same thing rn.
Rather than taking random players who are not cohesive, I'd say GE should take the roster of whatever Indian team that reaches Ascension.

I was watching GE in 2023 because ABCD + Ayrin my XSET goat, and it was the most tilting experience of my life, because it felt like every single time they played the answer was just to fuckin throw Sk off the team stick lightningfast in, and boom goated team now.
And the coaching staff was so fucking braindamaged that they kept putting sk on a role that EVERYBODY KNEW HE COULDNT PLAY AT THE TIER ONE LEVEL.
This year after the roster moves showing they truly don't care about winning, I'm just done with the org, team, and especially the management. Fuck GE, fuck rushindra, and fuck riot for having this garbage fake indian org for acting like they have some semblance of knowing whats going on
For pro play -> I kinda dislike how GE is just going full international instead of only having 1-2 import. GE getting into franchising now doesn't have any impact don't India eSport situation since they only have 1 Indian anyway.
For comp and regular play -> A lot of Indian I meet in SG are super toxic and IGL wannbes. I appreciate you want to try IGL, but I don't need you micromanaging my ass.

Honestly you're 200% right about the ranked aspect. It's primarily a reason why I started playing in SG server(It's only 40ms for me) as they're pretty chill and they don't micromanage stuff a lot. If you see in Mumbai server, all idiots just think they're fuckin FNS or whoever and gives a braindead call, then they proceed to blame us and shout in our fuckin ear. It's why I decided I'll play in SG servers itself, even if some games does have people who are racist towards me(Thankfully I didn't have such an experience). Sorry you had to deal with the Indians who bring their toxic selves to SG servers.
I was supporting Global last year because of Wronski, but they made terrible decisions one after another and fumbled a good roster. They made Rossy play dualist, but every player except Ayrin could've played that role better than him. Then during lcq the coaching staff, felt like they literally don't have any plays or anti-starts. They were just defaulting every round on attack with Skrossy on operator, and when they failed miserably, they scapegoated Skrossy, saying he's not a team player, and still the owner is sticking with that fraud coach.

I don't hate indians but I hate their choice of colors and design. My relative used to work in an Indian-run company and when they renovated the office, CEO wanted bright orange carpets and blue walls to match corporate colours. I mean, GE's logo itself is the embodiment of toothpaste colours
