To be fair eg looked better than g2 like the playoff bracket would be easier with fraud2 for sure. NRG have a decent shot at madrid but I wouldnt count eg out, any team that can come back from 0-7 and win a match 2-0 is dangerous and can probably upset anyone

Nothing can be done. They used the same format in all the other regions. Not Riot's fault that EG chose to act like terrors and burn down their champions winning roster. And changing it up for a single region would be the opposite of competitive integrity.

Yeah AsunaYukki acting like there was a better option.

First, it's ideal to do the same thing for the 3 regions and both FNC and PRX deserved the spot too.

Second, would you rather have that spot given to a random Tier 1 team? There aren't any good 11 team formats for a kickoff tournament like this.

Thirdly, franchising is a system that is meant to bring stability through the orgs, not the players. So it makes total sense from Riot's point of view.

It’s the same organization. They’re PARTNER teams, it’s a league. If a team in the NBA wins the championship, but lose their star players, the organization still has the last draft pick. Plus, there’s no “core” to keep the slot of EG’s success, if that’s the other option.

not a big fan of the format either. Never heard of a winning team getting competitive advantages off of last year...doesn't really make sense to me. It's like playing winners ball in basketball. Maybe okay in a non official pick up game environment...iunno. Also looking at APACS format this year. I don't resonate with any of it at all.

well maybe it's not the same players , but still the org itself and the coach worked hard last year winning Champs and doing good in masters so they deserve the chance they got
Sen and Lev everyone knows how good they are ,and i and you want to see them in masters but judging off their results last year, they need to fight for the spot ; it's normal even if its not fair for new players and roaster changes

Eg as a team now looks really solid with their set plays,strat and comps compared to sen and Lev in my opinion ( maybe I am braindead but that's just my take). They can really surprise in play offs for sure and as for whether they deserved getting the pass idk maybe they didn't but that was up to riot, regardless they are the clear winners of the group, way better than kru and g2. Sen/ Lev might get more molded after the losers bracelet match and play ins which will only help them cause as of now as I said earlier both of em wouldn't do shit . It only gets more interesting from here , ur just WAYY overestimating sen/Lev and absolutely underestimating eg, just chill bratha

It all comes from Riot running a seeded tournament to start the year when no teams have showed how good they are compared to one another after many teams changed rosters and there was a 6 month off season... its a fucked situation to begin with. if they had to do it I think seeding based off of champs performance is alright I guess.
