does anyone know when the first time the meta ascent comp was played?
i hope it goes well! i would totally join but im on the other side of the pacific :(
but there's plenty of us girls lurking in the shadows
i actually got into valo because of ao3 lol (not VCT fanfics tho)
What's the bo3 kill record post-franchising? someone in sideshow's chat said it was 78 kills but didn't specify the team
anyone know this?
i feel like pearl would be fine if b main was fixed, solo controller is actually kinda decent on it (to watch)
i mean for ranked it's kinda decent, but i'm so bored of teams doing the mirror games 20000 times in a row
this is actually the worst map pool the game has ever seen no?
only way to make it worse is to add pearl and remove split
my ideal map pool would be
-haven
-fracture
-split
-sunset
-lotus
-pearl
-bind
that was Qwertyy and he went 0-16 in a bronze lobby
china + india league would go crazy
the hate between the two would be so funny
Generally agree teams are fairly balanced, except for SEN on Split. Not even a SEN fan but if you don't ban it against them it's starting at a -1 map disadvantage.
Same shit with EG Fracture. Teams only started banning it when EG won Tokyo because of it.
SEN's defensive side on Split is probably the best we've seen so far (at least since franchising), kinda like how FNATIC solved Lotus attack macro and EG understood snowballing ults + defensive agression so perfectly on Fracture, SEN understand what setups to use and where to be on the map at which timing. Honestly a treat to watch.
honestly looking tough anyways
SEN > LOUD on Split, Lotus, Breeze
LOUD > SEN on Sunset and Icebox
Unknowns are Bind and Ascent
SEN will certainly get at least 1, probably 2 favorable maps in the veto (unless they troll it, which teams are known to do). So unless LOUD improve on Ascent, Bind or Breeze I think the veto will favor SEN.
Now in the server is a different question. It'll be a close game but for me it's a 55-45 for SEN.
predicting the next 4 matches
LOUD 2-0 FPX
TH 2-1 PRX
LOUD 2-1 EDG
KC 2-1 TH
Qualified for next stage: SEN, GENG, LOUD, KC
do you think if NRG defeats SEN and eventually wins kickoff, we would have as many NRG fans posting about how good they are and yapping for weeks on end?
i think it would be less than it is right now but i wanna hear your thoughts
happiness_ is the troll this guy wishes he were
the final is gonna be LOUD vs KC, calling it right now. the two best orgs in the scene will have a clout faceoff
Well Sentinels will win, since TenZ Is allowed to use 3-rd party apps.
Isn't it funny that esport and everything like that has evolved in north europe countries, for example Sweden?
How is that possible that in counter strike asians aren't as good as in valorant?
Is that just really coincidance that Riot Games is owned by Tencent (chinese company)
And magically best player in the world in LOL is asian, same as in Valorant?
Both players are incredible dominating others in the pro scene, but both are asians.
If you would have family working in riot would you be able to cheat?
I don't know, waitt I know AXL Xad, which is blatantly cheating and has one, that's why he was top 23 EU and still not banned.
That's why while sending evidences to Riot, they've not responded and just act like nothing happens.
If there's any independent journalist, feel free to reach out, I can share my evidences with an pleasure.
waffle house posted this
Always getting good value when they play it, he's def the best Harbor itw. Literally invented the playbook for other teams to use on Haven, Icebox, Pearl
someone else said on here
France gave USA the statue of liberty, so in return they gave France n4rrate
I totally agree, imagine if we got an upset for Americas as well maybe SEN going instead of NRG... that would be a crazy first event.
The FNC match to me shows that you can't just rely on being a core with solid players, you have to adapt to new metas and antistrat your opponents. How is it that KC had a better read than FNC even though they've only shown 2 maps vs KCorp's 15+? Crazy to me. Super excited to see variety of playstyle and underdogs making runs this year.
without s0m they actually have a chance of beating prx
this is just regular geospliced, he's so real for this
For sure, I'm just saying Madrid will be more competitive than people think, in my opinion.
I wouldn't say they suck ass, but they certainly didn't play to their possible cieling.
NAVI trolling as usual, some of their decisions were very questionable and overall strategy was mid.
FNATIC just seemed like the same as last year, same strats. KC could call around that and knew exactly what FNC's gameplan was, coupled with superior firepower (FNATIC not being to their level and KC just hitting amazing shots).
There's lots of people saying that Madrid is a free win for Americas, lol
Neither was EG last year and they finished top 2 in Tokyo and won champs.
It's better to look at the level of gameplay than some abstract concept of being "proven on the big stage" or whatever.
I'm not saying they will necessarily perform, but these "NA is winning Madrid" posts are exaggerating the disparity imo.
Honestly if y'alls take is that EMEA is weak and not that there's more than a single good team I don't even know what to say. (Did you even watch the games?)
Yes FNC and NAVI didn't play to their best but that doesn't mean KC or TH are shit? Or that SEN/LOUD/NRG would roll them. They have legit strats, great protocols and firepower. I think Madrid will be more competitive than people think.
where is the navination now?

duelist: Keznit
initiator: mta
controller: mazino
flex: kingg
sentinel: shyy
basically a combo of lev + kru, the only weak points are igling (kingg is pretty basic) and initiator altho mta looked good vs g2
Calling Fnatic washed after seeing 1 game from them is crazy
Do you like, intentionally come up with the worst takes possible or is it actually genuine?
Yeah AsunaYukki acting like there was a better option.
First, it's ideal to do the same thing for the 3 regions and both FNC and PRX deserved the spot too.
Second, would you rather have that spot given to a random Tier 1 team? There aren't any good 11 team formats for a kickoff tournament like this.
Thirdly, franchising is a system that is meant to bring stability through the orgs, not the players. So it makes total sense from Riot's point of view.
