1 - boaster (bro is on top since 2021)
2 - chadhaak
3 - ange1
4 - fns
boaster most consistent IGL since start of valorant? Topping EMEA since SUMN FC days, and later world for a long while? Defining and/or perfecting the meta on half the maps in the game? Trophies?
His teams have always been highly coordinated, even when they were lacking firepower before they signed Leo and Alfa. That's the true hallmark of a great IGL.
"aspas go kill" is not a great strat
Topping EMEA since SUMN FC days
Meaningless comment, most fraudulent talent starved region in the world, if they have 5 players with hands they can win EMEA
His teams have always been highly coordinated, even when they were lacking firepower before they signed Leo and Alfa.
Coordinated in what way? Everyone hold defaults and play off angles? Real top-level IGL type beat
Defining and/or perfecting the meta on half the maps in the game? Trophies?
Defining what meta? half shields in OT? delusional if you think Fraudnatic has anywhere near the impact of LOUD or Optic/NRG in terms of meta (or even DRX/PRX for that matter).
What trophies bro? LOCK//IN beginning of Franchising no qual single elim showcase? or Mickey Mouse masters after the biggest roster shuffle in the esport's history.
Very delusional guy.
fnatic literally came up 2nd in the first ever valorant tourney without any superstar aim gods on the team. They defined the bind meta of using viper molly for executes, they defined fracture meta. You my friend have clearly never seen pro valorant so please refrain from coming to this site. "fraudulent talent starved region" has more trophies than any of the other regions (Gambit at Masters 3, Acend- Champions, FPX- Masters , Fnatic got 2).
Bro started watching VCT when EG won the world championship and started writing paragraphs on vlr 🤣
let's face it half the people on these forums could take that lineup boaster has and make top4 at champions. his great strat of somebody else clutch a 1v3, who else on earth could come up with that? i mean it is pure genius totally next level shit. don't worry ill get 3 eco judge kills. this man is a mastermind.
kingg was the worst midrounder in americas bro lmfao he got out called by dephh
LEV is somewhat decent last year because Onur instilled all these protocols and setups so that kingg can hide his weak midrounding. The team literally functions off of preset reactionary plays. Extremely fundamental valorant. Teams like LOUD are what you'd call a well called team with fluent fundamentals.
Kingg is one of the best PLAYERS in Americas, not many IGLs are worse( i cant speak to his leadership qualities)
I don't think lev poor sesson has just coach staff problem, even tough onur say they dint study other teams, has igl kingg still have a lot impact in tearms of game read e dession on mid rounds even more than onur, he also needs to make his antitrat homework, igls like fns, saad e boaster do that by than self all the time, even non-igl players like leaf, less and crashies looks more partipative in terms of bringing strats to the table.
check the numbers again, you got it fucked up kkkkkkkkkk
but nah sha0 and suygetsu had life performances at that Masters like zeek at Champions 2021
nt but overperformed and never came close to those peaks again, and ange0 can't counterstat, regular strat, or figure out comps
gg go next, NAVI disband after first split
People who continue to disregard boaster are absolutely braindead or do not understand the game.
The metas on half the maps were either defined or perfected by boaster/mini combo.
fnatic, even back in SUMN FC days, were always known for their amazing coordination, even when they were lacking some extra firepower that they now do have. Hallmark of a great IGL.
Thank god for Boaster and Mini creating the sit in a corner and wait strat
Valorant would be doomed without them
That's why Fnatic has been dominant throughout the whole Valorant lifescycle and definitely didnt get blasted by a coachless Sentinels, were a real threat in 2022, and didnt fluke 2 michael mouse tournaments and bomb out in Champs in 2023
cope and seethe, b0tster is the most overrated player and IGL Valorant has or ever will see
This. People usually forget that Boaster has been leading succesful teams since 2020/2021. The fact that he and Fnatic have consistently been top EMEA team with good international placements and even 2 VCT international LAN victories this year is crazy (SUMN FC was also good pre-VCT). And like you said Boaster teams have been some of the most influencal teams in Valorant esport, and based on everything said Boaster seems to have big impact on strats etc.
Achievement wise he might very well be. People really underestimate how much he has achieved. Played on "top" since 2020 and has led teams to multiple good placement regionally and internationally and is still the IGL of arguably the best team in the world. Even before Leo and Chronicle he was doing really well with guys like Mistic, Magnum, braveaf and Enzo. Often looking like the favorites and even if they failed to win they still managed to place high almost every tournament.
Boaster, fns, Ange1 and sadhaak are definitely the top 4 (In no respective order)
The 5th however is up for debate,
If you go by team results then stax could be considered, but I don’t really consider Stax’s igling to be the crux of drx’s consistency
If you go by peak achievement then boostio and benkai could be considered
Honestly, it might be early to call, but if boostio continues at this top level then he might be that 5th spot
Its hard to judge boostio considering he has never led a team to the top of even regional tourney. This was the only year where EG have looked like a good team cuz of a lot of factors - Potter stepped up big time, 10 man roster meant better prac sessions, and ofcourse my kings Demon1 and Ethan 🥵 Also boostio has said that his calling takes a toll when he doesnt frag well which i dont believe is a good sign for a leader.
4th and 5th are more up in the air.
Stax has incredible consistency but has yet to make a grand final.
Boostio has had two great events in 2023, including winning the biggest event of the year, however he lacks any other achievements.
Redgar: A top igl in 2021 but has not had the same success since.
Ange1: A tinkerer, constantly changing things... maybe too much. Has won a trophy and remains a regular at international events.
i think ranking igls definitively is pretty much impossible, i prefer to rank by groupings
Goat tier:
Saadhak, FNS, Boaster
Great tier:
Ange1, Stax, Redgar
Very Good tier:
Benkai, Dephh(XSET were consistently well lead IMO), Boostio(Lack sample size but likely moves up), Koldamenta(Underrated), Vanity, etc.
