The results don't matter when it comes to who the best individual players are. The best player in the world can play on a bad team and not get very far. Of course, individual players are still a factor in how good a team is, but things like team synergy and chemistry determine a team's success the most (see Team Liquid).

Shao is indeed the best clutch player in the world

However, there are better initiators than him in terms of utility, every time I watch Shao I'm incredibly impressed by his mechanics but his util is utterly average imo
He's also doesn't have the best stats for every category, just overall

However with Mako,
Mako is not only the best controller utility-wise, but he also saves DRX singlehandedly all. the. time. His impact is always visible even in losses

honestly im pretty sure k1ng is definitely the best player
