Americas Stage 1 predictions

(This is ordered by kickoff placement, not an power ranking)

G2, Loud, and Kru go to toronto.

G2 - They could go two ways: keep the form and continue to be on top of americas, or completely fall apart after another international loss (which is more likely than people realise). But i do think they will keep going and be on the first place on americas unless other teams really evolve during the championship

Sentinels - Feels a bit like Loud 24 where they had a good start and then got messy over the year. I really hope it's not the case, cause i can see this team potential. With their group they will likely get playoffs and maybe classify to toronto if they can work more on their mental

MIBR - Depends on who their 5th will be. They had a clear evolution line and i think they would look better on stage 1 but going with Verno feels like a step back because they will have to work out some inside things first. While they can have a bigger ceiling in the future with this move, i just feel like they will need some more time and will not classify to Toronto. But with aspas you never know

Kru - Getting better and better and with a healthy Keznit they might surprise. Def getting playoffs and im going with them for Toronto. Just feels like it still lacks something so its not unlikely that they might lose it

Loud - With more time to work they will get better. Was a surprise seeing how far they went on kickoff, and they will likely be more up to date with the meta by the time Stage 1 kicks out. With everyone comfortable this team might go nuts. Think they will be at Toronto

Lev - Just don't see this team working. Although i trust Itopata i still don't understand Natank leaving, and i don't think Rossy is a good replacement at all. But next map pool seems very Jett-Friendly so we might see Demon1 frying again

EG - I'm a certified EG hater they will have like one or two wins and that's pretty much it. Not going to playoffs

NRG - Feels a bit tricky cause Brawk is not a bad replacement by any means but we have yet to see how well he goes on T1. I think this team will need some time to evolve and Mada will need to do some crazy things to get this team to a good spot (which i don't think will happen but Mada is good enough for it)

Furia - Yeah my Brazilian Bias is kicking in. They will not be as bad as kickoff. The visa issue really fucked with them and they barely trained, so im hoping they will be at least a little better and get some wins on Stage 1. If they don't, this team will need to change. In any case, don't think they will classify for Toronto at all.

Cloud 9 - Don't think they will get lucky this time. Their group is very tricky and i don't see them classifying to playoffs. Might be for Stage 2 with their yearly random groupstage win streak but right now is not happening

100 Thieves - Got an unlucky bracket on Kickoff and, while losing to NRG was a bad sign, that was NRG at an actual decent form with Mada going ballistic. They will be better for Stage 1 and could even snatch a spot for Toronto if they have a good enough run

2Gaming - Same with Furia. Feel like with more time this team can be decent. Askia is a great replacement for Pryze if it ends up happening but we have yet to see how good he is on T1. Either way, they likely won't be a competitor until Spike comes, just might show some good signs this time

Lol, what a coincidence, we posted almost identical content at the same time

I agree with you on most points, as you can see in my tier list

Think this time LEV will do better than expected and G2 SEN may depreciate a bit. MIBR and NRG should do well with this new meta as well.

Just remembered Rossy might go IGL which makes me a little more hopeful for this team. If Kingg is out of IGL and goes full beast mode he might be the starplayer this team needs
otherwise, MIBR and NRG might need some time to eventually be great, and i can see G2 and Sen declining (although i think G2 will be later on the year)

do you think Rossy takes charge completely and leaves kingg to frag or he becomes secondary caller

Maybe but Rossy isn't saving my eyes from demon1's raze so probably not but I like Rossy shame he had to replace the other player I like on lev

Won't need Raze at all with Waylay.

Waylay is not that good. Easier option is just to have Demon1 play Yoru.

I really hope sen can stop choking. This team has the potential to win toronto they just have to keep calm and play their game

yep. they need someone to step up and be the guy to deal with the emotions of the team. calm everyone down when needed. feels like this team just overheats a lot

I agree for the most part but one thing that has to be taken into account is Waylay's release.

She seems made for Keznit's playstyle and so I would be very surprised if KRÜ chokes again. Even someone like DGZ with heavy awp usage might find ways to take super aggressive peeks with Refract.

My picks are G2, SEN and MIBR.
G2 and SEN will have learned a lot from Bangkok so I think they'll get better. I'm picking MIBR for 3rd since I do think Verno is a big upgrade over nzr on an indvidual skill basis. And they were already 3rd as is.

Also, I don't think waylay will be that impactful meta wise. Maybe some teams will try to pull something niche with them but that's it.
