this is the last match they play until april, let them have their fun
well I'd rather have four months of offseason than six months, so it's at least better than this year
eg's broken it for the first time, didn't wanna say they broke it by getting through groups but guaranteed top 6 finish is pretty good
yeah I think they need to get top 6 to be the first one to break the second place curse
dunno anything about bahrain's education system but I thought it was because she needed to focus for the few months before she graduated
flyuh plays viper, flash initiator, sentinels. if he was replacing someone on 100t it would probably be stellar
there's no way flyuh doesn't get an offer somewhere, insane fragger and igl too
I feel like they reached their potential at champs last year though, which was a top 12 team but nothing more, right? I doubt nadeshot is satisfied with top 12, and I don't think this roster has potential to challenge the top tier of teams in each region, so I think making changes is important. but also yeah mikes in the coaching slot is just not cutting it
okay I was thinking about this more and I realized it might have a problem, which is that I also prefer nismo to asuna in terms of current form. at that point it seems counterproductive to replace koala with cryo and have to form synergy all over again, which means 100t would just be picking m80 up. which, honestly, seems like a decent idea to me, but I don't think nadeshot is gonna drop asuna, and I don't think he'd drop cryo after paying so much for him either
honestly maybe bang out for zander too
sr improved under him imo, I think he gets a shot next year or at least igls a free agent roster into challengers league
I could legit see seven teams winning the tournament. this has gotta be the most stacked playoff bracket we've ever seen, right? I was doing my pickems and spent a long time agonizing over each pick but I could probably flip a coin for most of them and it wouldn't change the accuracy much
tbh I mostly just want an americas team to win and specifically EG if possible, but I'm a c9 fan
boostio too tbh, but yeah it's probably ethan
if eg were to lose to them early in the playoffs and then go on a lower bracket run, I could see them winning a rematch
we need all of ex-ghost in brazil, mxm 3 - 1 tgrd
to be fair, the rest of the guard might do pretty well in APAC franchising, but it's still saya for sure
knights used to be so much better at running events too, now they just suck. the long intermissions are terrible, and it's even worse that there's no timer so we don't even know how long the ad breaks are going to be
it's interesting to do a hypothetical where m80 misses franchising, but I also think they're winning ascension. nismo and eeiu probably get poached by EG and 100t, zander would be in contention with skuba to replace jawgemo, johnqt maybe replacing stellar because they fill similar roles. I think koalanoob is amazing but I also dunno if any NA teams need upgrades on duelist except maybe sen, and I don't think sen would replace tenz. if cryo hadn't turned it up I'd think he'd be a solid shout but he seems like he's back to form.
oh yeah also whichever ascension team wins might poach some players, but I can't think of any m80 upgrades if they hypothetically were to win. maaaaybe zander for skuba but that doesn't seem like enough of an upgrade to risk upsetting the chemistry, if it's even an upgrade at all
also bang has been underperforming a bit, dunno if it would be worth replacing him with zander or skuba or if 100t would consider that
eh, I think beating t1 didn't mean much at that point, carpe had barely played valorant and now he's showing a lot more promise
honestly I think part of their insane run recently has been boostio's IGLing, I think they'll for sure be worse without demon1 but their setups are just so good that I'm not that worried
sengares would be pretty hype, ngl
yeah I guess that's true, but also NRG feels like the kind of team who don't care if you know their strats because they'll always have new ones anyway
it's only 7-2 on map 1 rn so it's obviously not an incredible achievement yet, but imo this map hasn't looked like EG's been winning rounds through counterstratting. They just look really good doing their own strats
it's a very important game for eg, they can't afford to save strats
he's simply the best player to ever touch the game
imo there shouldn't be a tier break between EG and furia, and I'd switch EG and 100t, but otherwise I agree with everything. I think all of EG 100t LEV Furia could all beat each other on any given day, and although I still think eg > 100t > furia > LEV, none of them are very far apart
reyna players are also always the no commers
m80
MxM
c9
v1
--------
MSF
tgrd
sr
giants
any franchised NA team
no particular order for the top four, and then no particular order for the bottom five, but they're a tier below
every time SEN has to save, he runs literally all the way around the map and grabs three ult orbs, he's getting a ton of value
oh don't get me wrong I think thief is very good, but I think everyone on the mxm roster is consistently above average. that's why I said I don't even know if it counts. to upgrade the roster you'd need an actual superstar because everyone including thief is very strong
thief is the weak link, but he's been pretty darn good so I don't even know if that counts. Team would probably be better with skuba or zander but not by too much
Potter is actually great at her job, she's just been handed one of the most difficult jobs. If she was coaching 100T or something, she would have a ton of success
Idk if she put together EG's roster or they had a talent scout make a lot of decisions, but given her current tools she's doing amazingly
zekken's actually a crazy good igl, dunno if he wants to though
I think fiziq has played a lot of sova and fade, so he's probably coming in to replace lear's roles
flyuh said it on twitter
