Clearing up on the DRX situation

Hi!
I wanted to personally clear up on some things surrounding the whole DRX subject

1) I 100% acknowledge and admit that I made a huge mistake when believed the mistranslation from the original translator of the news. It's my fault and I'm taking all the blame, no two ways about it. I believed the thing that translated text was agreed upon with the alleged victim.

2) I was NOT the first person to mention that the alleged victim was a "raped minor". The narrative that I was the one to start parroting about alleged perpetrator being the rapist is false. I got baited by the amount of false narratives and accusations thrown around on the Twitter timeline.

Peep the time the Twitter post and my thread were created. Not trying to whitewash myself or anything, I'm still taking the blame for doing the wrong thing(believing the public narrative going around)

3) I was definitely a lot more involved than I should've been and I can explain why. Since I was the first user to share news about this whole situation, I felt like I should've been updating people on the new things coming out.

4) I never had any ill intentions towards DRX, their fans or their players.

5) There's a common misconception going around, that I'm gonna get hit with a lawsuit or legal action by DRX. All I can say is that it's not possible.

Lastly, I once again state that I understand the public outrage with my involvement and it's valid. Also, please, saying that you'll kill me and my family in VLR dms is just cringe.

I'm sorry for the things I've done wrong surrounding this situation. I'm 100% at fault. I'll own up for my mistakes

spreading misinformation is a fuckup, whether intentional or not. especially on an overseas forum where people can't easily access information cleanly. if he was a korean citizen residing in korea he could have easily been sued for defamation.
if he just stuck with the one post bringing attention it's nbd but he continued to update which only made things worse.
vlr is literally known as the overseas forum even in korea. it's probably the biggest online forum to discuss valorant esports, it's not just some "random forum". why do you think kr users were making posts about the geng bullying here?

I hate would be journalists like you. The whole time everyone told you, that you shouldn't do things like this because if things are false, you're just blowing things up to a crazy proportion. Hell, you had people in your thread betting on players, saying horrible things. You don't need to 'report' on things like this. I'd say you're outright responsible for the outrage here on vlr.

I made a comment about you on a different thread, yes it was coming from a critical standpoint, but I was just very sceptical about some of your actions.
I understand the want to get the story out there, but at the end of the day I think you spread it way more than it deserved to be spread.
None of us are connected to this case, so all of us including you have no involvement in it whatsoever. The fact you got yourself involved by messaging the victim and the spreading that here to further push false blame is really low.
Despite this, you made the decision to write your wrongs which is respected, all I’m going to say is wait for the full picture to be painted first.
