I love travelling and experiencing different cultures and city ambiences!
Here's my top 10 cities and honorable mentions, I'm willing to elaborate on any one of them:
Wanna go to China just because of its history. Beijing is so old and it being a capital of Khitan and Jurchens make it so enticing to visit
Along with the old Qin capital, even after it was burned down. Just wanna see how it is nowadays along w the battle sites where Baiqi of Qin fought
That said, People should visit Pokhara, it's so nice
try Chongqing, for me it will be equal with Beijing(full history), i dont like shanghai, they have different speed with us, if you live chongqing or chengdu, you will be 0.8 speed of Beijing, but Shanghai just 1.2 speed of Beijing, everybody walk like run. i would go Eu about 3-6 month but mainly work for phd so dont have too much time to travel. I would probably go to some cities in France as well as some cities in neighboring countries.
WTF Montpellier T.T ? Did you really saw Noailles and Calanques ? T.T The weird mix between the poor Newborough that have drug dealer, just right next to the rich neighbourough just living in front of a hiking spot on mountain, with drug dealer having loyalty card, and Olympique de Marseille being raise at a level of a religion where the Velodrome is a temple (It's so high I suspect Mulsim Marseillan to go more to the Velodrome than at the Mosque), with hills everywhere on the city, and you systematically go up and down. To me they are a lot of things that makes the city unique (Calanques specifically, weird culture too)

Wish part did you visit ? Only the "Vieux port" and the "Cafetière" ? (Thats the only part that couls be seen as Montpellier to me)
To be fair I could just be mistaking it for another languedoc/provence city. My family drives by the coast on the way to Spain so we tend to stop at the French coastal cities for lunch (carrefour). We don't usually stop by Marseille, which is why I don't remember too much about it. I do recall it being a nice city though, despite not actually exploring it a lot.
