Is there a legit superteam in 2025?

the only team i would call a "superteam" or at least the closest thing we have is 2023 Fnatic.
- 1st Lock//In
- 2nd EMEA 2023 (we all agree Liquid winning was a fluke of the century)
- 1st in Masters Tokyo
- 4th in Champs LA
- Lost 3 series' the entire year (once to liquid, twice to loud)
- Still the only team to ever win back to back international
the only thing REALLY holding them back from being an undoubted superteam was their slightly lackluster champs run but 4th is still pretty respectable in that regard
A team does not "become" a superteam, a superteam is "formed" so geng couldve won everything last year and they still wouldnt classify as a superteam. Insane team results ≠ superteam. For a team to classify as a superteam its really simple the team just need to be consisted of players with high name value regardless of form or future results. Nrg was a superteam, so was Leviathan and that fact does not change because they did not came close to meeting expectations
they were not. A superteam is a roster consisting of big players who already shone before, and i'm sorry but Tenz and Sacy were the only ones that check this condition. Johnqt was a rookie and Zekken and Zellsis were doing great on xset and c9. For me in 2024 we had like 2 superteams fnatic because it was the same roster from 2023 and nrg who got optic core + Ethan and Demon1 just coming off of Champs win. Unfortunately results didn't follow up for those teams but they were superteams
Simply disagree a super team doesn’t need to be proven. Oxy + Verno + Cryo + Valyn + Narrate. None of these players are “proven” to the level of Fnatic. Yet to me if this were a team this would undoubtably be a super team don’t think they need to be proven. I think that the idea of even being “proven” is just an excuse to be willfully ignorant about incredible players.
EDG is more a super team than sen. and tell me how tf are they more super than GENG TH AND EDG. GENG won a bigger tournament and came second, TH came second at the 2 bigger tournaments and were good at madrid. idk if people understands what superteam is but how was gen.g a superteam if karon was literally a ranked rookie and they also had a recently injured lakia which were players that no one believed in, also t3xture came from global esports and wasnt a duelist in that team, meteor wasnt a sentinel either
you do not know what a super team means. super team means each player was chosen because they are star players and are best of the best. A star team for example would be Kangkang Benjyfishy Derke Less Demon1. simon was not a starplayer before playing for edg. None of the prx players were star players before prx, and tbh i wouldn't consider all of them star players

With your technicalities, then dont bother with superteam talk then. Import rules makes it impossible.
What possible is region/nationality superteam. EDG is Chinese superteam regardless of ur specific technicality what if situational conditional asterisk etc.
In Champions 2021 Sacy was the #2 highest rated player, and Saadhak was the #2 highest rated IGL. Both never lost in their region and did very well individually internationally. They picked up the best support player in South America, pANcada, and the 2 most talented ranked demons of South America. Less got rank 1 radiant playing with a 60hz monitor at only 15 year old, Aspas was the absolute ranked demon accused of cheating by all VCT pros of the region and the community at only 17 years old.
The hype around this squad (Aspas - Less - Saadhak - Sacy - Pancada) being put together was the hype of a superteam being created
??? but the point still stands, we're talking about the 5 LOUD players individually at that time, not the brazilian teams performance. Sacy and Saadhak played really well in those 3 matches, in fact they were up 12-5 against Gambit in the third map to qualify for playoffs, they were good, the rest of the team were not.
And these stats are still valuable, 145 rounds is a decent amount of rounds. For example, Team Liquid were semi-finalists in that tournament and they played 187 rounds, so i think the sample size is good enough to get a decent view of the players performances.
