How do you guys do it? Do you just jump straight to a sens or do you graduate work up to it? Also what's ur preferred sens as in slow/med/high?
I figure out what approximate sens I want to get, overshoot it slightly, play a few dm sessions with it and then set into the sens I wanted initially. Either I A) hit the perfect sens by overshooting the sens B)will hit the sens I wanted by just going closer and closer towards my designated sens. I guess I am more of a high sens player ( at least in CS, there I have pretty much the s1mple sens)
I've kept 0.4 800 DPI for like two years now, and changing it a bit to say 0.45 or 0.35 feels REALLY weird to me. I think I can get used to it, as I occasionally use double my sens for practice, but it's really weird using something else.
Note I have a small area for my mouse, and I have a more flicky aim style tho
Gradually work up to it. I wanted to swap to a higher sens for a while, and I was at 0.2, but I knew that sens was too low for me to win the duels I might need to win in higher elos, since turning is so slow. So, over a year, I went from 0.2 >>> 0.22 >>> 0.25 >>> 0.26 >>> 0.3, to find the lowest possible sens I knew I could play on without sacrificing 180'ing for a duel. As I got better at handling higher senses, I went higher, and I could have swapped to 0.3 at any time, but I decided against it, since I found I was playing fine without swapping to a higher sens. When I felt stuck where I was and couldn't improve, I move higher and I start trying to aim a little bit faster and a little bit more accurately, and though I don't recommend waiting so long to make the swap like I did (making all those changes over the course of a few days would do fine), I can say it does give results. My preferred sens is very slow, but I need to get out of my comfort zone and play on a higher sens to make the adjustments I felt I needed to. But low-ish is where I sit because as much as I want to go super slow, I know i'm not going to improve for shit if I crutch a super low sens, and i'll plateau at ranks i'd wish to be better than if I didn't swap.
