Whom do you rate higher as a player and which legacy is better, in your opinion?
how is TenZ even close to Chronicle tf??
Finals:
Chronicle 4 > TenZ 2
Champions Finals:
Chronicle 1 > TenZ 0
Trophies:
Chronicle 3 > TenZ 2
2021:
Chronicle > TenZ
2022:
Chronicle > TenZ
2023:
Chronicle > TenZ
2024:
TenZ > Chronicle (for now. I think Chronicle will prob be better by end of Champions)
there was that one silly and embarassing brim stim beacon by Chronicle in 2022 (but that doesnt matter).
2022 was a year in which there were 6-7 good EMEA teams (unlike NA, BR, and LATAM (all 1 team regions)). also rus-ukr war led to more outside factors affecting gambit and so they just couldnt qualify, being 1 game away in every split of the year.
M3C also had the game of the year in 2022 (FNC vs M3C). dont think you can tell me otherwise considering how fun the Fracture (Map 1) and Split (Map 3) were.

he lost 2-13 against smb (far worse side than fut)but ok lol
TenZ was the best player in the world during two events in 2021.After that bro had dogshit consistency issues for two years, until the most recent iteration of Sentinels.
Chron was just regarded and still is as the best flex in the world, since his days on Gambit. But you know, the two events where TenZ did good trumps 3 full years of consistency by chronicle.
If fnatic lose chronicle, they wouldn't be as successful as they are. He's the best fill player in the world, by far. He's the reason everyone else on fnatic plays their comfort picks on their comfort maps.
Sen need Tenz because they have sacy and zellsis who are so inconsistent in their play,. that they need some form of consistency, and only Zekken and johnqt aren't enough.
I'd argue chronicle is the best overall player on the team behind Alfa.
Leo can only play initiator, and at that he's world class on two of them (sova fade), and top10 for the rest (gekko, breach) He also doesn't play kayo or skye, leaving chronicle to play them
Derke who has awful lows, but strong highs. Bro has had rough consistency issues the past year.
Alfa is the only player I'd 100% rate above chronicle. Flexes roles, and has great mechanical skill.
best tournament ever (undefeated on maps and highest rating while winning)
was great from the start of valorant until now, not many players like that except for maybe derke and lakia. derke choked gf tho and lakia is not near top 5 levels of performance.
won only 2 tourneys but them being in 2021 and 2024 means a lot, also on different roles in different rosters
some of the best reaction time ive ever seen
at least top 5 resume idc
Chronicle is a legend but lets be real, Tenz clears.
Chronicle was never the best player on any of his winning teams, nor ever the best player in the world.
He was 2nd best on Gambit (it was Nats' team)
He was 3rd best on Fnatic (Leo and Alfa clearly the top 2)
and he has a history of dropping the ball in big games, notably in his last two international performances
-22 overall, 0.57 Final Map in Champs elimination match:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tenz has been the best player in the world - by a distance that will probably never be matched and was 2nd best in his next run.
1st on SEN original, obviously
2nd on current SEN (Johnqt is a great player and can be argued here, but most of the time Tenz is a bit better, for example, see: https://www.vlr.gg/312779/gen-g-vs-sentinels-champions-tour-2024-masters-madrid-gf/?game=all&tab=overview, and even if you put him 3rd, thats a still a higher average than Chron)
They both have 2 Masters Trophies, so they are equally decorated.
If you wanna say Chronicle 3 because of Lock-in, I will laugh at you, and remind you that the universe broke that mickey mouse trophy for a reason.
you're calling an official VCT Tournament "Mickey" when it had a 100 times higher level of play and competition than Reykjavik
meanwhile Reykjavik 21 had the worst ever level of play in history of the game and its not "Mickey" because there was a Qualifier
TenZ farmed plumbers when the game was raw, and the 80% of opposing teams were underdeveloped
conclusion - you might be retarded. don't bother replying.
EVERY TEAM AT LOCK IN WOULD WIN BERLIN EASILY TOO.
AND CHAMPS 21.
AND PROBABLY EVERYTHING UP TO COPENHAGEN.
DO YOU GUYS SEE THE HOOPS YOU'RE JUMPING THROUGH LMAO
JUST BECAUSE A GAME DEVELOPS DOESNT MEAN PAST EVENTS DON'T COUNT
DO KOBE,MAGIC,JORDAN,BIRD, AND ALL THE OTHER GREATS HAVE NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS BECAUSE THEY GOT THEM BEFORE THE 3PT REVOLUTION???
And lets take it even further, since we're doing "level of play" schenanigans. SEN Madrid was at a much higher level of play than Berlin or Tokyo (one of the reasons Fnatic got smacked in kickoff was because they didnt innovate- same comps, strats etc) so by ur own reasoning, Tenz > Chronicle. Im glad you finally accepted the truth!
Prime EG i'll give you but you seem to deny that teams now are generally better than teams then.

Jingg on SEN's form during scrims vs them during champs (when they first got Johnqt). SEN would go onto dominate the offseason - beating PRX with jingg who got 2nd at champs - and then of course do what they did at Madrid.
and before the bitching starts read the following:

This clip is a primary source, you are not.
Yo fun fact the full name of Reykjavik 2021 is Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2: Masters Reykjavík
I made the' Masters' bold so you could see it better. Did it help? lmk.
also the full name of Lock in was : Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo
so actually you have it exactly in reverse.
Hope that cleared things up for you!

This event also has the word Masters in it! I guess that means Onyx Ravens are Masters winners!

0.93 and 1.03 yeah these are really some redgar numbers huh? 🤡🤡🤡
Especially considering SEN was surrounding him with elite talent such as Shroud and Dephh.
and in that same year Chronicle won back to back trophies
and in the same VCT Season (2024) Tenz won a trophy, Chronicle has 0 wins at LAN and PI'd in an elimination game vs FUT.
BTW here's a drawing of Chronicle's back to back trophies:
🐁 🏆
It’s TenZ and it isn’t close
He was the first face of Valorant, the first best in the world.
He is the only one of these players to stand the test of time, and both of his trophies were legitimate.
His slump was shorter than Chronicles, he role swapped successfully, and his net worth dwarfs the EMEA bum
And most importantly, he’s never played with bumster
Im not a big fan of tenz but ngl I stil think its tenz.
He was the first and biggest face of valorant. The very first one at an international to mark him name in the most dominant way and not even dropping a single map. Yes while chronicle has been doing well, he just cant match the style of tenz even with the trophies. Additionally, Tenz was the first one to really have clean aimstyle and know for his flashy plays. How many clips of chronicle remember? What type of shooting is he like? Cant remember much(might be NA bias, especially since I dont watch a lot of EMEA). When we think about Tenz, we think about red reaver vandal, blue crosshair(maybe), and flashy/flicky clips. Not to mention Tenz was the one who inspired many people into esports. All only knew about Valorant esports through Tenz and his time on sentinels(as a 100t fan, u could see how we argue a lot). Also, Tenz has a much bigger fanbase, just compare chronicles stream and Tenz’s, not only does Tenz have way more Chronicle, hes on a much more clouted team.
Now heres another part
masters 172, champs 2023, masters tokyo 2023 236, lock in 202, champs 2021 236 masters berlin 222
The number stands for acs, with the highest being at Tokyo.
While you might say stats dont show everything, no one is actually going to look at how impactful because lets be honest, duelist players r always the most popular. The one fragging is the one we have in our mind. Tenz finishes his first masters with 289 acs, so while chronicle might be a really impactful player, he wont be the face of valorant or have a legacy as big as Tenz. This applies to all sports
Soccer: messi and renaldo
Basketball: curry, lebron, jordan
What do they have in common? They r all the spearhead of their team, the ones making the most goals or basket.
This is just my analysis 😊
