what sports do you guys do?
I'm a swimmer
:O i love volleyball. ive never played but if i didn't swim, id want to play vb.
what position do you play?
(yes all of my vb knowledge is from haikyu)
im trying for setter but if not probably like a defense specialists or smth
if i flop hard ill be a pinch server
They literally are wdym, setter is obvious, DS is usually a OH who primarily plays defense and doesnt do much offensively, and pinch server is what it sounds like
two outside hitters (spots 1, and 2), middle blocker (spot 3), opposite hitter (spot 4), setter (spot 5), middle blocker/libero (spot 6)
specialty positions exist tho, DS is usually someone who is subbed in for a pin who is a ppor passer, a pinch server is just a player who is subbed in to give a tough serve and play a little backrow than get subbed out.
Soccer, table tennis, used to do volleyball but it's rare to find a court in Honduras ;-;
You should try it! Get 3 more friends and play 2v2 either on beach or on court, or try to prac with another person its pretty fun, its also a best sport to play during puberty alongside basketball and swimming for growth during puberty, volleyball is the best sport for height and also strenghtens your bones from all those balls that you recieve and all the jumping that you do
i wish i could play vb but i just dont have the time. im 17 and im trying to get recruited for swim. i swim 2 times in the morning from 5-7 and then i swim 5 days a week afterschool. i have no doubt that i would be good at vb cuz in 6ft and have pretty long arms
thats sick. my one experience with badmiton is my friend accidentally hit me in the forehead with a racket in gym class LMAO
unfortunately im not a man of culture in gaming industry 🙁
val n cs are literally the only 2 games i play lol
if u count 2k then thats 3
valorant (top 750 and collegiate), FN semi-pro, Stellaris top 3 itw, civ 6 also top1% in but can't gauge anymore than that( i've gotten sub-200 diety victories which is very hard so i can confidently say im in the 1%).
there's some other games i've probably been slightly outside the 1% on but those 4 are 100% certainties
swam competitively in hs but played a little bit of everything growing up, esp european football
i won't do anything past 100 for butterfly. i go 1:00 in 100 fly while i go 1:14 in 100 breast
I mainly do Football (GK), Badminton but in the past played a lot of Cricket, softball and do some athletics.
taekwondo (black belt :D)
table tennis (training for a bit now rating is 1200 iirc)
badminton (also trained for a long time played in states)
basketball (shit at it but i play with friends)
boxing for 4 years now and i usually play volleyball and football w/ friends
XC, and Track, back in HS, now just do it for fun sometimes, but ive been really into bouldering before I injured myself last week.
bouldering is fun. i used to do it for fun when i was younger but chose to stick with swim
holy fuck. my best event is 100 free and thats a 51 but my 200 is a 1:56 cuz i just don't swim it
damn thats not bad my 100 free is 48. What's wrong with breaststroke 😭
breaststroke is just slow. i have a TON of respect for people who are fast breaststrokers but i just can never do it. my 100 breast is like 1:14💀
it's 1:58. idk where i got 1:56. i can definitely go under 1:55 AT LEAST if im going 51 in the 100
karate (2nd degree blackbelt)
badminton (played regionals but stopped after covid)
basketball (just played on school team)
soccer (played academy level but stopped later)
swimming (completed + life guard training)
Swimming. I love swimming and also Table tennis and Badminton. Lucrix can do butterfly?
used to play baseball but had to quit for 2 years and lost any chance i had of continuing with it so now i do track and field
Cycling, Football, Martial Art (Silat) & swimming sometimes
only a hobby tho not really serious in it
Used to do Gymnastics
Competed and won a few bronze medals on pommel horse
Now that you bring up sports, I believe I've partaken in quite a wide variety of them throughout my measly lifespan.
Football (soccer) playing as a goalkeeper around the middle of my elementary years (I was bad so they made fun of me and I quit).
Chess during the latter fourth of my elementary years as well as a chunk of my high school freshman/sophomore year.
Basketball three times a week for two trimesters during late elementary.
Diving as a hobby some time ago.
Badminton as a hobby during the summers.
I don't have a sport I'm committed to nowadays but I do however enjoy long walks downtown before playing Valorant!
It's a lot of different sports, yes, but the amount of time I spent doing each one isn't a lot at all.
how easy is it to get an eating disorder? ive always wondered how that affected wrestlers
depends, for 95% of people its never an issue, you rarely have to cut and when you do its just one day before the meet and nothing serious. Some people though cut alot to make weight and its super unhealthy, but for those people they do it because they themselves want to do it, as the coaches would typically never make you (ovbisouly there are sadistic pieces of shit out there but 99.9% are good people). Bassicly you only get one if you yourself give yourself one out of your own desire to be a lower weight class-which rarely happens as you would probably immedatly lose if you cut too much due to exahstion. Myself the most ive lost in a short ammount of time is 10 pouns over the course of 3 days, but that was because I was sick and it was mostly water weight.
ah gotcha. just wondering because i realize that swimming and diving are both so easy to get eds in and wasnt sure if it applied to wrestling too
tennis
badminton
football/soccer
cricket
and I'm a professional valorant player for disorder
I would smoke you in tennis/badminton/cricket/football (Not val though). 1v1 me
