saw this question on reddit and wanted to ask here because I’m curious
1) The first team: I liked their playstyle in 2013 and the next a few seasons, they are still not bad in that game.
2) The second team: They spoke Russian and played really cool for years, the next years they had good rosters in other games.
3) The third team: They played very cool and their logos were lit (and still it is), a few years later they signed a roster with Rus-speaking players in anpther game (in Valorant).
You can guess them all. A few hours later I'll edit this comment and add them
P.S. 1) Cloud9 2) Gambit 3) FunPlus Phoenix
When I started playing Valorant, I used to be a hardcore Yoru main. I didn't know that Valorant also had an Esports circuit. So when I first started watching VCT, legit every team and player considered Yoru to be a literal troll pick, let alone picking him in an actual match. Then I stumbled across Paper Rex (until then I was a casual watcher), who happened to be using Yoru quite a lot in their games, and getting so much success playing him. I also found their playstyle so fun to watch, and hence I became a fan.
at first I thought PRX were just cracked aimers and w gaming haha,
but then I saw how they love to innovate some crazy comps and make it work even in top tier competitions
They did yoru last year in both masters (got #4 and #2), reyna this year in pacific league (#1), then they made gekko actually feasible and got 3rd place in Tokyo?!?! Super exciting to watch
was originally a guard fan, got excited to watch them at reykjavik but since they were in playoffs the only team I could root for in the group stage was OpTic
.Fast forward to the the Guard vs OpTic rematch and the Guard's game against PRX and i just decide to bandwagon to the other NA team.
I thhen proceed to watch them win the whole tournament and ever since then I've let daddy call.
