local uncle reported crashing out over disappointment of competitive video game teams

posted 1 day ago

well it depends what makes watching a scene enjoyable for you.
For me it's rooting for improving teams and new/revamped teams, and pacific has several exciting teams like DRX and RRQ whose new pickup exceeded my initial expectations. For EMEA it'd be gentle mates and vitality, Americas I am delighted with G2's current form + rooting for EG, and my favorites for China were TE and XLG. So each region has their own sort of cool narratives which personally never makes me bored

fans want an upgrade to who they think is their team's weakest link. I also don't like this behavior, but I guess it happens all the time because viewers either overreact over losses, or it's because they have seen that one player make too many mistakes and had enough of it

posted 4 weeks ago

it's more like a tight gap between the mid and top teams. No matter how washed they are, I imagine PRX won't have any problems against bottom teams

πŸ”₯ bronze and silver games >>>

I had the same idea! If they ever split the scenes it'd probably be like apex legends. But that might cause a huge imbalance because north becomes super stacked so idk

posted 4 weeks ago

They're the most unlucky and funniest team I've ever watched
but fr tho 2 years ago they had a bad roster, then last year they fixed it and got to the playoffs for the first time but met geng in a single elim, now their new player is a damn monster rookie. So I think they'll get up there slowly, bit by bit.

Not everyone is a bandwagon, okay. If people only supported teams after they show great results, mid to low bracket teams would have zero fans and be out of business. RRQ just made a great change in picking up Kushy, and there is no problem in expecting improvement of the team

no way I stop watching cs for 2 weeks and this is how I find out spinx is free agent

True, it's not really a rivalry, but since 2023 it has ALWAYS been Gen.G who eliminates RRQ from the PAC league. So RRQ fans are very familiar with this match-up and sort of want to take revenge

stats wise he's sort of like Jemkin but in the german league (can farm kills like crazy in Tier 3)
so that might be one good indicator

All Gamers
Detonation FocusMe
Cloud9
(EMEA teams still scrambling so idk) Maybe NAVI

oh yeah forgot about ice I count him as CN in my mind somehow
he's definitely the SEA goat

the disrespect to vietnam LOL is crazy
also 23cabbage does not have better achievements than Abed, DJ, or Kuku in the past or even Whitemon as of now 😭

posted 4 months ago

well yeah. especially when it comes to like the top 8 teams in the world, at that point we know everybody is more or less equally cracked at aiming and mechanics. What decides their victory above other teams is their teamplay and the coach's involvement from team comps and in-game strats.

mans out here starting imaginary beef. Before the news, all of BME players, staff, ceo, and fans already 100% accepted their fate of losing and waiting another year. It's not like SPG's hard earned reward was taken away from them. BME were just fortunate, why all the hate

posted 4 months ago

the M80 hypothesis meant the actual #1 ascension team wouldn't get in the league even though they won. This time, they approved both #1 and #2 because another team already in the league is banned.
2 different situations and outcomes, in this case I think it was a pretty fair decision from riot. The only misfortunate thing is now former bleed staff and players losing their jobs and I don't think Bleed will take any responsibility. πŸ˜“

yippee xipto to Berlin! Maybe win it this time or get #2 behind SR

plz Kush I know you love your home boys at alter ego but you're wasted at T2 valorant come to RRQ

posted 6 months ago

funny thing is that if Primmie was signed to let's say PRX, nobody would be crying this much
he's done great so far even though the lack of experience together with the whole TLN squad is very noticeable

bro all region is about the same except china. That's it

something just wasn't hitting shots today
a whopping 6 kills in map 2
though I don't think it's a role problem so someone needs to check on the man

If RRQ could beat Gen.G then but can't beat them now, would that make fl1pzjder a goated IGL!?! πŸ€”

now that you've said it, the EG and RRQ are actually pretty similar.
What I noticed is that the both teams had the power of friendship (maxed team chemistry), and great coaches (ewok hella underrated btw) which made them able to sort of comeback late season
just that EG also had top 3 player in the world named demon1 and like the best coach ever so they became champs

That being said, bleed does not have any of the 2 big factorsπŸ˜‚, so sadly the only path I see them going towards right now is blowing up the roster

posted 10 months ago

the fact that your prediction was overshot is crazy

posted 10 months ago

how I see it, there's like multiple debuffs for him
-not kr comms
-little chemistry with team because newly joined
-coach might not use same strats/put him in agents which he is best in
Basically, he is not maximizing his potential here compared to how he was in DRX. Same as how t3xture wasn't when he was in GE compared to now in geng

posted 10 months ago

might not look like it, but the first map was not as close as what the scoreboard says

posted 10 months ago

unless your physique is really, really, bad, as in you're unable to do basic everyday things, then I feel it's more about how well the brain and nervous system is doing. But I do know that some exercises might boost brain activity so it's still always a good thing if you do have a healthy body

posted 10 months ago

just watch and support any who wins then
supporting both teams going at each other just means you get hyped no matter which team pops off what a great situation to be in

posted 10 months ago

so we're calling the team that got to masters grand finals without losing a series overrated now !?!?! that's mad
