For the most part it's because they're backed by chinese conglomerates

only OG's remember when Laz dropped the incredible 31-10 K/D statline in one map against a helpless mindfreak and Toronto MVP f0rsakeN 😿😿

The tickets not being sold for the group stages is a bit odd, but I assume it's because the group stage starts before the opening ceremony.

In any case, they're playing in the same arena with the same equipment so there shouldn't be problems for streaming. The only question I have is how many streams will there be? Because I think they will either have 2 streams, meaning only one of each group's opening matches will be shown, or at best they pull out 4 channels to stream 2 groups' matches together at a time.

except he actually does variety streams and not just react, mc, mario kart, gamba♻️😹😭

I did find these two ewc_id twitch channels: https://www.twitch.tv/ewc_id and https://www.twitch.tv/ewc_id2
but it says they haven't streamed for 3 years so it's unlikely. It will probably be the usual valorant ID streamers watchpartying the EN streams

posted 1 day ago

They have 4 channels for main EN broadcast on twitch and youtube, and as far as I know there is also ES, RU, CN streams but I think it's only 1 channel each for them. Details aren't shared yet but ID streams will mostly be on their own local platforms

what I've been thinking because since 2023 cs, dota, pubg, and R6 CIS orgs have came back and have close to no problems.

at least valorant actually has apac reps. lol's "apac" is just taiwan and vietnam, alongside some more imported koreans.

competitive tournament vs falcons' tournament**
b0twOo will not win a major unless it is a mickey mouse major, at his home country, gifted by valve as a parting gift (Paris major was more rigged than messi winning the world cup)

my bad I thought it's Magisk. Welp it may be time for him to rest a bit he's been on the team for years

I may be high on copium. But the current Falcons are losing series 1-2 and 2-3 with close maps against Vitality, and I think kyousuke can easily be an upgrade over kyxsan. So I'm looking forward to it 🙏

don't worry Vitality is only making the most of their time before kyousuke plays and Falcons dominate the scene🥱

Real talk tho, no need to overthink it. If you're grateful for the gesture you can show it but that'd be the end of that. Unless told, it's better to have no assumptions, just stick with what you do know, and be honest to yourself.

If anything EWC collabing with VCT should be reassuring news since it should solve the primary problem with the event this year which is its overlapping schedules causing qualifiers to not be officially streamed

posted 1 month ago

The cs esports scene has always been one of the best amongst all games. But the game itself is mid 🫤 I still think csgo > cs2

there are 2 stages, stage 1 will have teams who finished #5 - #12 in EMEA duking it out until they find two winners.
Those two winners will then go to stage 2 where they meet the #3 and #4 (not determined yet). The two teams to win in the end will qualify for EWC
They will only stream the stage 2 of the qualifiers which start next week.

they're one of the top teams in honor of kings (Chinese LoL mobile) that also have won more than $10.000.000❗ from competitions in total

fortunately for them his performance here and vs PRX is enough to convince me that Jemkin is far from being an inconsistent shooter.
So if it ain't broke why fix it? ggwp RRQ and good luck in Toronto

because if ANGE1 is still here after all those years, a player like Nivera would 100% have a chance in Tier 1

yeah sure but asking for a rematch after losing an official game is sort of middle school loser activity

posted 1 month ago

well in terms of importance qualifying to champions is still #1 priority so masters > ewc
but I don't think winning it is light work, so personally my global team power rankings for champs might change based on ewc matches

so sad kyousuke going to falcons. If they suddenly become better than vitality someone on team spirit's staff got to be fired man

Doesn't matter if they lose 2 maps 0-13 and and win 3 maps 22-20. A win is a win
The rule basically implies: A team that is so strong on 2 maps but can't close out any of the other 3 does not deserve to win a bo5 series.

I do think geng will beat them and continue this one-sided rivalry they have, but RRQ's improvement has been very impressive and their pacific finals appearance is well deserved.
All that said though, I fear they are still underrated in the eyes of vct watchers (especially those who don't watch pacific). So even though they finish in the top 2, a lot of people still won't think of a strong team when they think of RRQ and they'll rank them pretty low in comparison to other teams in Toronto 🥀

I've heard coaches and igls all over the world say they would want to have f0rsakeN in their team the most over any other player. Don't listen to people with no ball knowledge

posted 1 month ago

I expect that the world's top teams would still want to win the EWC the same way they want to win any Kickoff, Stages, Masters, or Champions event

It's an organization that holds a bunch of S-Tier tournaments from all different esports over at Riyadh with classic saudi money prize pool.
Top 4 of each region are going to compete so the level of play is on par with a vct masters

well cloud9 didn't beat mibr or G2 the way boom beat DRX and GENG. Surely a team who goes 5-0 can't just lose all their powers all of a sudden

In terms of them forming their own era, vitality made a super team that won the ESL Grand Slam (award for winning the most masters/pro leagues in a season)
Can't really explain the achievement as Tier 1 events in cs happen much more frequently than val, but the closest we have is probably Gen.G last year when they won 2 pacific league trophies and a masters.

posted 2 months ago

about damn time ZywOo gets them the grand slam. Ngl this new era of vitality, falcons, and spirit is the most exciting time of cs i've seen since prime navi, faze, and G2 3-4 years ago

posted 2 months ago

Hopefully now they can get the respect they deserve. Took them a while but, from being the team everyone clowned on at the start to now making a masters, watching this team evolve has been a treat
