I'll go out and say
Mazino(pre playoffs but that's not unpopular anymore IG)
Rb
Laz
I'm willing to elaborate if people are interested but that's my personal overrated list.
You're delusional. SEN was only good in the beginning, when most teams were still figuring out their rosters. SEN only hit its max potential after TenZ switched over. Then Envy completed their roster (+ Marved + yay) and took over

but having the correct calls matters more than being confident with your voice?
anyways thanks for at least offering an opinion on why he isnt a good IGL, its more than what 90% of people who flame him for can do. People just hate him because hes camp and has a very out there personality. IMO over the years hes taken players who shouldnt be near tier 1 to every single LAN and looked good regionally each time, now that he has a team with arms and legs they look like one of the best in the world
I personally think having confidence just as important as having the correct call. You could just replace an unconfident IGL with a vocal player. It is the IGLs job to ultimately come up with the decisions on what to do regardless of whether or not it ends up working. Obviously IGLs are allowed to ask for ideas but they should be the one making the final decision.
I agree that sounding confident is certainly important as you need your players to trust your call and go in, but this point is kinda redundant when your players already clearly have trust in you as the IGL (all the fnatic players have said how much they trust him and his calls). I agree that its important generally, but in boasters case it doesnt really matter.
Heโs also a clutch god he has by far the highest percentage of successful clutches across all 3 regions 45% I think and heโs been in 29 clutches heโs got the same amount as clutches or more successful than a lot of players who have been in double the amount of clutch situations as he has been in
ANGEL
90% of the rounds he dies first as an initiator/sentinel but still his team wins the round because of the caliber of his teammates.
Recently shao playing controllers probably because of angel's bad habit of dying first. ardis, shao, zypan, cned, suygetsu these guys always to win the round but in these situations it's always the IGL's big brain calling is mentioned.
I say Rb because we do this every time with him. The Rb circle starts in open quals when DRX shits on teams and looks amazing, he looks good but the level of competition is bad. Then they get to LAN and his group stage is good as they get easily through bad teams. Once playoffs get around, however, he's statistically one of the worst players at every single playoff and frags at the level of an IGL. The problem is that he does that for 2 games, they get bounced, and people forget. Then group stages come around, he looks good for 10 games, and everyone calls him a top 3 flex ITW. It's just a boring cycle and I hate that he gets called top 3 ITW as a flex when he is consistently the worst playoff performer of all time.
I just think he got really overrated from the S1 run. He definitely didn't carry as Sugarz3ro was by far their best player, and though he was a good chamber the only people that played chamber back then were all better than him. Since then he's kind of had this icon status because of the Japanese popularity(I see it similar to early mixwell where he was just extremely popular but hasn't backed it up much) but hasn't actually been good since that stage. In s2 when they didn't qual he got chamber diffed by 2 different NTH players, and since 2023 started he's just been good not great. I personally just see him as an average player but because of his popularity and one tournament where he stole the spotlight from a more deserving teammate I feel like people still think of him as some top tier player.
It's important that you don't just look on stats alone. If you watch Laz in the chamber meta you wouldn't be saying this. He rarely missed a shot even PRX can't brute force and run down the site Laz is guarding and i kid u not PRX was a beast in that time they're pretty much running everyone down but they can't do it against Laz. But now he changed roles and became IGL, instead of solely focusing on being a sentinel main, lurk & frag. His midrounding is lacking but he can still run set plays at the start of rounds and also even being an IGL he can still frag, even top fragging sometimes.
Meteor - has been very underwhelming, especially due to the hype surrounding him pre-franchising / start of league play
Sacy - I get that hes a world champion but currently he is nowhere near being considered one of the best sova players which is what a lot of people are suggesting.
Jakee - Just feels like a cog in a well oiled system during league play, one of the most unremarkable players to be called the best smokes in NA. Top 5 would be a stretch as well
Tenz. The guy cannot stop whining - and I know he is considered a nice guy but he complains way too much.
during the chamber meta - god forbid anyone tunes into his stream he is just 24/7 talking about how broken the agent is..
now it is about how shit the double controller meta is - how everyone is just killing him through smokes and how phantom needs a nerf.. like bro the meta is same for everyone how is it that some teams/players are still able to perform through the metas?? He was playing CSGO and says "atleast in CS i know someone has killed me through skill" - just go play CS professionaly and we see what u win there.
