Brazilians and cultural differences

So funny how americans/europeans try to view the world by their own perspective views, without considering the real meaning behind the cultures and the words that they are listening.

People literally thinking that "uh vai morrer" would mean that we would kill the players, LMAO 🤣🤣🤣 are you guys retarded??? We like the players, we are just provoking them.

It will never be a death threat, like northist want to say, is just a phrase like "defense", or any other chant that americans Scream in NFL, but americans can't understand It because they are not from here, or in a more funny way trying to teach the meanings of our own words to ourselves like we are dumb(this happenned before LMAO).

Imagine If i as a Brazilian used It's own point of view in the world to judge people like a lot of NA/EMEA are doing? It would mean that Japanese people for us would not be educated, or maybe arrogant, because in their culture is not normal to give kisses and hugs when you first meet someone, other than in Brazil that when you meet someone is a normal culture to do It that way because we are "latinos" and are culturally more "caliente".

I will exemplify it in a funny way that happenned in this site before.
Translate this tweet from V1xen and try to understand the real meaning of It without Brazilians explaining to you...😈🤣

The players receive better treatment in brazil than in europe... theyre treated like super stars in brazil

Brazilians watch their streams ask them to take selfies ask them for autographs give them gifts while haters are worried about chants the players are happy to be valued and get the recognition they deserve

usually when you communicate with someone outside your culture with phrases and cultural symbols that you know they don't understand in the same way you do, it's not exactly fair to then go "yooo cmon man you just dont get it" when they respond sourly

just my 2cents

i really dont feel one way about any of this, i just think both sides are so convinced that they do nothing wrong when reality is obviously in the middle

It's normal to not understand, isn't normal to use your not understanding to attack a country because of It.

Instead of assuming something wrong isn't the "First world country act" to do, ask the people of the country what It means? Instead of using It to get likes in the internet by people more confused than you.

It's simple.

the fact of the matter is that when you provoke someone knowing that they don't understand the nuance of what you're doing or saying, think of what it is to them. provoking. very simple.

should they stop and think about maybe it means something else? yes, 100%

should people be surprised when their provocation that the other person has no context or understanding of is met with poorly? no, 100%

in the end both groups are only willing to look at it from their perspective and not the others

in the same way, provocate is provocate, racism and xenophobia are two completely different things.

And clearly you can see when someone is passing the line, First worlders should know that and act accordly, If they want to be treated in the same way.

In the end competitive and provocation walks together, but never forget who started It all...

i'm trying to help you figure out that both sides are in the wrong but i think you are too emotionally invested to really think about it logically

please revisit this topic when you can with less emotional bias

Yes and no dude. Sure it's culture (even tho that's a thin line, because not everything can be excused on culture. What if when some football fans said racist stuff at games they just said "we are just provoking them", cause trust me some of them is just that, but it doesn't make it any better nor justify it, does it?)

Now look at it from the other side, you're an asian guy going into Brazil and the crowd is screaming "you're gonna die". It might be your culture to provoke him but dude, there's another face of the coin

Also believe me you're gonna die is the softest thing I've heard here in Spain, Ik exactly what kind of culture and mood you're talking about when you do that. Just saying you can't enforce it to everyone

Isn't spain culture to be racist and you know that, you're a "first world country", a "third world country" don't need to teach you about that.

Let your own brothers talk about It for you:

"Isn't Spain culture to be racist"
"Isn't Brazil culture to send death threads?"

Dude how can you make this whole thread and then be dumb enough to fall in the same generalization you're blaming people for doing. Think a little bit

I hate when Chinese people say "Nei Ge" (pronounced niga) just because in their language is normal, it doesn't mean they can say it 😡 I speak American and this is a racial slur
