Guild Esports Guild Esports Inactive will play with Yacine "Yacine" Laghmari instead of Russel "Russ" Mendes for EMEA LCQ, sources tell VLR.gg and Dot Esports.

Russ has stepped aside to take a break from competition, as first reported by Dot Esports. Despite rumors of Twisten as a replacement, it is instead Yacine who will reunite with his former teammates for a tournament. After leaving Guild last November, he went to Tundra Esports Tundra Esports Inactive bonkar Malkolm Rench Nille Nichlas Busk krea6on Vilius Malinauskas for the first VRL Polaris split before moving to Finest Finest Inactive DESTRUCT1VEE Hakan Lekesizer Kicks Kimmie Laasner bonkar Malkolm Rench for the second split. They finished the league by losing in the grand final to EXCEL, missing out on VRL Finals.

Guild will participate in the Last Chance Qualifier EMEA from August 7 to August 15 and will start by facing Natus Vincere Natus Vincere Europe Rank #16 ANGE1 Kyrylo Karasov Shao Andrey Kiprsky Ruxic Uğur Güç hiro Emirhan Kat koalanoob Gianfranco Potestio .

i remember when i was newer to val esports and esports in general
i watched guild after like 1 month and saw yacine as a crazy raze but bonkar like a silver players. i was surprised they let yacine go but trexx is an upgrade so cant complain

And pAura is currently signed to a team which is in lcq so that really isnt an option
There are still a ton of t2 players who fill Russ' role so its not like taking Yacine isnt risky, so it seems theyre just banking on existing synergies and taking a proven t1 player

acend who are known to just pull off freakishly good performances out of no where. The most fluky team as some of you say.
improved m3c with jady maybe?
improved liquid who they've traded series with for a while

EMEA lcq looks insanely tough. Not free for any team.

very few analysts expect guild to actually win this tbh, coming out of a international event into a qualifier 3 weeks later is just way too rough
(youve been nonstop working since the last qualifier, youve shown all/most of your strats, other teams have had way more time to prep new stuff)
And yea qualifiers in EMEA are never easy since everyone is good af

... im still high on hopium though
