I interpret his wording to be more related to how VCJ is formatted with the Advance Groups directly into a Playoff bracket and how VCJ has so much investment but only 1 team makes it to Ascension in the end.

The problem with VCJ is that there are too many orgs trying to make Ascension so the salaries just get higher and higher so you'll need to pay a lot for a good roster. It isn't about Academy teams it's simply that FAV has invested for so many years but haven't seen close to any success

Correct, OQ and LCQ were solely there because of there not being any option to do North and East qualifiers in January

Going forward the system is simply, North & East Qualifiers -> Lower Swiss -> Upper Swiss -> Playoffs

Interesting note on the stream thing, thanks for sharing that will explore ways to improve communication on that, but tbf we try out best to update VLR with what streams are showing what matches so hopefully that helped.

As Who Cars would most likely be a Danish squad they can therefore participate in the Danish VALORANT League, if Who Cars win the upcoming season of the DVL they will be awarded a slot in the upcoming North Qualifier set to be played in March.

North Qualifier is a 16+ team double elimination bracket, the top 4 from the bracket qualify for Stage 2 Lower Swiss
If they make Top 8 in the Lower Swiss then Who Cars qualify for the Upper Swiss where if they make Top 8 again they make it into Playoffs

The Top 4 from Playoffs qualify for Challengers EMEA where Who Cars would be able to collect points to qualify into Ascension EMEA at the end of the year.

After Challengers EMEA they will automatically be seeded in the Upper Swiss for Stage 3
