Most players on franchise teams that got relegated to tier 2 did deserve it but there r also a few that were either on shit teams and just got unfairly lumped in and were just never given a chance to succeed or left due to personal reasons that weren’t given another chance. I’ll start:

RGLM did not deserve to get relegated, he was consistently the saving grace of that shit ass MIBR team and Hes easily better than half the players in tier 1 Brazilian teams rn

demon1. Idk if its him or his teams, but no one seems to figure out that demon1 is better on an anchor/weak side role like sentinel. That 2024 NRG could've just ran victor on duelist instead of demon1. Not to mention he also dealt with heavy personal stuff that year.

Lev, i have no idea why he even signed with that team since he isnt an aspas replacement type of player. If he swapped roles with tex maybe it could've worked. His agent pool is kinda funky in that he doesn't have a solidified role but these teams could've easily worked around that by making him play sentinel without doing what Lev did where one map he's brimstone, another map he's neon

the weird thing about 2024 nrg was that chet and the entire core of optic had a similar player like demon1, yay had the exact play style as him i don't know what happened

yay had the same play-style but on a role where not entrying and anchoring made sense. when he played chamber he didnt have to be overly aggressive and could hold for map control.

demon1 at NRG was uncomfortable on everything and with the rumors that people werent trying he was bound to get dropped. NRG did try to insert him multiple times and tried to do what eg did but it didnt work as good.

demon1s entrying capabilities on Jett were far better than yays on Jett. they also coulda just shoved him on chamber or astra but they decided not to
they coulda done demon1 chamber on sunset lotus while astra on split and most of the other maps could have a jett

demon1 was pretty decent on Brim and Astra when he was in EG. They should tried something, where the Victor played Raze, Marved on Viper/some other agent and Demon1 on controller. I know they had a comp like this for Split but but not sure about other maps.

But he was T1's carry and dragging them to internationals even at times when they didn't deserve it. At the very least good enough to be in tier 1 no? Though I do think with Jett becoming less strong, Pacific becoming a lot stronger as a region and Saya now somewhat struggling in tier 2 it's looking like we might not see him in tier 1 again which would be a shame.
