  1. Masters Toronto is going to be horseshit for everyone living in APAC, you can deal with a tourney with bad times one more time before the next 2 are perfect for Americas
  2. Unless you live in Central or the one thats not EST or PST, the times are completely fine, just wake up an hour earlier than you normally do to catch the 8am games on EST, or go to sleep a bit later for PST for the 1 am games. Not every tourney can be catered to you, and if you REALLY want to watch the matches, I got up at 5 am for every single Sen match in Champs, it's genuinely not that hard, just requires a bit of willpower.
  3. If you really have such a problem with getting up, just don't go onto the internet and just find a VOD that you want to watch from your fav costreamer and watch it when you get up. It is genuinely not that hard to avoid spoilers if you try to.

its just been unfortunate that the last few international events have all been at pacific locations, Shanghai -> Seoul -> Bangkok. It's not possible for a timezone to be good for everyone, it just sucks that its been almost a year since we've had an event that lines up well for America.

the times are bad comparatively to EU/NA events for NA viewers, but I think the main reason people complain so much is bc this has happened for 3 internationals in a row now, with Shanghai, Seoul, and Bangkok now. Would like to see next year be a bit more Euro and Americas centric for locations to balance it out, or just make it so EU, Amer, and APAC all have 1 event per year and timezones become much fairer for all viewers

Tbf I have alright ish times not matter what so I'm a bit bias but I do get the complaints but also I feel like it's just how it is unless riot change up how they decide locations but I honestly think it's fine

its lame that I haven't really been able to watch the last 3 international tournaments. timezones will always be bad for someone, but 3 in a row kinda sucks

I don't mind it, I just wish the games were a little later. Like at 4 and 7 am at least it's a reasonable time to get up for the second game. There's always going to be some time zone that's gonna get shafted though, so it's fine.

if theres any push further its gonna be like an emea game and I gotta stay up till 5am T_T

Yeah that's why I said there's always a time zone that gets shafted. EMEA times work best for me personally though.

Its a bad time for me in EST. I'm not comprising sleep to get up earlier for 5am/8am games. Just gonna watch vods

sometimes, you just gotta suck it up and deal with it. Considering paris and toronto are coming up

  1. Yes I can deal with a tourney with a bad timezone, but you're ignoring the last 2 events which were also in those timezones.

  2. Nobody can stay up and through the fist game 2am-5am PST if they have a job or go to school (almost everyone).

  3. Watching a Vod is not the same as watching live.

ok so we had shanghai, seoul, bangkok, tokyo twice iirc. that is 4 out of how many international tournaments that were NOT in asia? the next 2 are perfectly fine for you guys anyways so its really not an issue to tolerate it. APAC had the same issue until they got a tourney in asia, and that only happened after 2 years of international VCT tournaments.

The issue is in a row.
And while I do feel for APAC, that doesn't mean riot should just make schedules that are bad for certain regions.

It's objectively the worst times for pst. Too late to stay up till 2am for the game to juat start and 5am is too early to wake up for the second game. I'm not trying to make it someone else's problem but it is the truth.

ive seen videos of schools spending thousands and millions of dollars on "yondr" bags

then it cutting to the schools having to feed the kids slop and not even reliable school supplies

America needs to smarten up and figure out what they really need to spend their money on

Pst start times are 2 am and 5 am. Est is more doable this event. There's also the two timezones between that cover the midwest and latin america, 3 am 4 am starts. Im not gonna be gaslit into thinking this is okay for 3 events in a row after defending apac for years. Neither of us should have multiple events in row. It should go amer apac emea china in some fashion.

I think it's fine besides RIOT scheduling so many tournaments in the same area in a row. Last international valorant match I watched was March 24th 2024, which was 11 months ago :/
I don't care if I can only watch 1-2 events a year, but having no events I am able to watch for a year straight really demotivated me from watching valorant and makes me feel like I'm unable to enjoy the esport because I'm unable to stay up due to my employment schedule
