c9 hypocrisy

People been asking for Moose's removal since he joined C9, and now that they kick him, people are calling them Clown9?

Y'all either appreciated Moose only when he got kicked, or just want to hate on C9 for the sake of it.

And it pisses me off with Rossy, too,

I don't think that people understand how important it is for a team to share culture and chemistry.

And people say "Oh but why kick Rossy, when you can kick the other teammates and just build a team around him?" and that's stupid as fuck, it is much easier to replace a single player (even if it's the IGL) than changing half of your roster because certain player wants his own system (which would be fine if Rossy was a top IGL, but he ain't no FNS, Boaster, or Saadhak to build a team to his liking). Rossy is a great player, but he's not a great leader, every time they lost he said himself that he said nothing after the games, so.

Most people have only been wanting moose off the team this offseason. I remember him getting praise for his performance in Split 2—he was likely C9's second best player at the time, first being OXY of course

I've seen plenty of people wanting him off since Stage 2. But you are right, the Moose hate has been bigger with the off-season

But yeah, C9's roster was weak in general, so I'm not really surprised that Moose was better than Xeppaa, Runi, and Vanity most of the time

Timing is off . C9 had many months to do it . Doing it 1 month before kickoff is not smart or good .

Edit: Sorry, wrong comment, this one wasn't for you, lol

Sure, timing is off, but it's not like we've never seen a team do a last minute change and be good regardless

But it's bad for the player too .. I don't know the exact details of how these contracts are done and how their salary works but even not playing means you're not improving or less opportunities. And most teams don't sign up players one month before kickoff .

With all respect to Rossy, it's not like any other franchise team was going to pick him up. I'm pretty sure that Cloud9 was the only tier 1 team that made him an offer

He could probably replace another player in other team after kick-off or stage1/2, but yes, it's unlikely. I'm sure that he will probably join M80, or other top contender for tier 2.

Rossy said he had multiple t1 teams interested but he went to c9 because he wanted to stay in America

Even if he did, my other point still stands. People get dropped, it happens, even if the public thinks it's deserved or not.

The off-season exists for a reason. Dropping Rossy could be considered a troll move if it was after kickoff or in the middle of the season.

I don't think people care about who c9 are dropping as much as the timing. C9 have a bad history with players and are infamous for having bad contracts that lock players down

If moose needed to be removed it should have happened Months ago, they have played several offseason events with him and any synergy the roster has had so far is cooked now. They will probably bring someone with more firepower but they will have to rework on so many strats and rebuilding team chemistry in the span of a month with no offseason events left and just scrims. They changed their IGL a month before the season starts and now getting in another player that will have no time to mesh with the team.

The removal of Moose is not the issue, it’s the timing that is so bad both for the player and the org. They had like 3-4 events to figure out if they wanted moose or not and they do it now.

They only had Rossy for less than 2 months, it was basically a trial.

And people are acting like they are bringing a tier-3 IGL to replace, but they got Mitch, a guy that has played for them before.

This roster change is not that crazy, teams in China do it all the time, look at Wolves, they signed Juicy just now, and they are currently the best team in China (atm).

If there's a coach that knows how to build chemistry, it's Immi. I'm sure he made this change for the better.

And even if it was for the worse, we'll never know. It's not like C9 ever plays in off-season form when it's time to play officials.

If C9 did proper trials, Rossy would've never joined and Moose would've been kicked along with Vanity and Runi at the beginning of the season. I'm still glad they didn't wait till kickoff to kick Moose though. C9 management is terrible because out of the 47 other teams in VCT, C9 is the only team where they seem clueless and unorganized during the offseason. That is until a month before the season starts and they realize they have to actually do their jobs and not be incompetent morons. Like what Vanity said, they didn't even run trials for any of the other member besides him but now their forced to run trials a month before the season starts.

TLDR: C9 management is paycheck stealing.

I understand the timing is bad but the idea they should have figured it out in trials is entirely wrong. It is well known that players act very different in trials than on the actual team

People also dont understand that having one good tournament doesn't make you incredible overall. He was not the best player in scrims (that's known for a fact)

performing in actual matches is better than performing in scrims

It's one tournament. Scrims and matches are correlated.

yeah but you can’t always translate them to officials, some players end up doing better than expected and that’s perfectly okay

Sure but ppl were calling him the best player on the team when he was dropped. That is outright insane. Vic and oxy are better.

I mean, come on, Rossy had one good individual tournament and people were calling him the best player on the team.

I think it's just a simple as Rossy not being a good leader, and not being what C9 was looking for long term.

It is better they realize now and not when it's stage 1

I COMPLETELY agree, but I think most people are dumbfounded by them getting rid of the players they don’t like at the wrong time. Kicking someone a month off of the season is so dumb, and it hurts the player. I don’t think anyone personally hates moose to see him getting fucked over like rossey is a major problem as well.

I kinda disagree. I prefer teams with balls like C9 that are willing to drop players if they need to instead of dragging a roster that won't success.

Likewise, I think that Immi did this change for the better, because no teams drops their IGL for no reason. There's something more going on, that's probably why the players don't talk much about it.

I think its that people see it as too late now, Moose is not finding another team in NA at least and the only option for tier 1 he has is Apeks if they havent found anyone yet

C9 just ruined this guys year which sucks to see

#26

Moose will get picked up by a tier 2 team or Apeks. And they can fill in a spot for a team looking to change after kickoff or stage1/2.

And putting the blame fully in C9 is not fair, since Moose really underperformed, and the C9 players didn't want Rossy on the team.

they should have just dropped him earlier, idk why they waiting so long

he does have chances throughout the year but I feel like he wont get picked up then, midseason people will want to cracked tier 2 players not the tier 1 experienced player who underperformed

It was either Moose gets dropped now or mid season. I think now is better than later.

imo moose getting dropped isnt the problem for me personally its the timing its even worse than rossy dropping timing, I assume moose was blindsided by this decision and with us being so close to the season who can c9 realistically even find and scrim enough before the season ? Like this decision makes 0 sense imo & obvs this is very fucked for moose like obvs he probs was gonna get dropped but at least give him time to land on his feet, this just fucks him.
