surely im not crazy to think that having 4/5 players be from NA instead of LATAM is fucking insane as an south american org. for a region that barely has any kind of support in esports with valorant being one of the only exceptions, choosing to have an NA core is frankly disappointing. i really feel like when theres 12 teams in the league and only 2 orgs are from LATAM, you have some kind of responsibility as the org to properly represent the region. perhaps id be too hopeful to think riot would do something but i wish they did

i have nothing against the players themselves, but that org sucks. on top of ditching almost every LATAM player they both dropped nzr during christmas eve and now natank after he made the move to go to another whole ass continent

they are on the early stages of turning into c9
benching aspas = benching tenz
then selling for massive buyout
before benching aspas and tenz dropping a player
nzr = shinobi
is kingg gonna be xeppa

Aspas clarified that he was ready to play for Leviatan if the negociations didnt go forward and fulfill his 2 year contract, but LEV were already benching him and completing their roster with Demon1 and Natank.

BLEED got kicked out of VCT and all teams were locked in or didnt have the money to pay the buyout. So Aspas last option was to go to MIBR, kick everyone out of there and build a new team, it was that or warm the bench for Demon1.

Wow. Next question, does aspas speak good English?

theres more to that tho

from what i've heard Aspas joined LEV in 2023 but they kicked his friend NZR on Christmas eve which upset him, he wanted to leave LEV but was under contract and had issues with the management ever since, he played out the season with LEV and left after the season ended

he wanted to go Pacific and there were talks with Bleed but they got kicked out of the VCT, by that time they had already wanted to sign Demon1 so Aspas went to MIBR

i have always disliked post-partnership lev for this exact reason too - luckily, i think there's going to be more latam/sa rep coming in next year because their academy roster is so stacked, but man it's so unfortuante what this org came to be

and the worst part is: rossy actually is nice, this org could be in contention for s1, so they might do well for it and not get flack

im curious tho - if you had to replace them, what latam team would u bring in instead? i like 9z Team as a potential replacement - been in the scene for a while and had good talent development with rubbkoide and co.

thankfully enough their current roster fucking sucks ass and they wont win a single international after 2+ years of heavy investing so maybe they will let go of this stupid "international rosters are better" idea

G2 is a German org representing NA

Talon is an org from Hong Kong but with a full Thai roster

GE is an Indian org without a single Indian player

Fnatic is a UK org with 1 UK player

whats your point

also fym "for a region that barely has any kind ofsupport in esports, South America has some huge fanbases for orgs in Valorant as well as other Esports like R6, Lock in was literally in Sao Paulo and the entire crowd was booing every non Brazilian team

also MIBR dropped nzr after 1 split so clearly theres an issue

The details are important here.

Excluding ascension team ( only G2 and bl00d) and EMEA ( because international rosters are the norm there) , Riot intended each franchised teams to represent a certain part of the fanbase.

Talon are supposed to represent Thai fanbase.
GE with Indian fanbase. Etc

It is precisely because of those fanbase support that teams shouldn't mess with them no?

Name top 10 LATAM players with t1 experience that can compete with the likes of G2, C9, Loud, MIBR, SEN, etc.
