Verno will be reunited with his former Oxygen head coach bonkar, who also joins NRG for 2025. With Oxygen, bonkar was highly praised for transforming the team into an Ascension contender.

Their hype heading into the 2024 season began with wins in off-season tournaments, including the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational 2. In the 2024 season, Oxygen lifted the North American Challengers League Mid-Season Cup, and continued their dominance into Stage 2 of the competition.
