Since vlr is talking about kickball rn, I feel the need to say basketball clears it so hard its not even funny.
AstroGalaxy [#3]im gonna get downvoted like crazy but soccer is so fucking boring unless its world cup bro im not showing up
nah its not boring once you get really into it, all sports are like that
cartixuzi [#4]nah its not boring once you get really into it, all sports are like that
i mean football and basketball was like that for me so maybe u right
kanyefan4238173 [#6]basketball sucks, so many free throws most games and a big part of the sport is drawing contact. i know that that can be said with soccer too but its on a much higher scale in basketball. basketball a cool sport but the concept of drawing fouls being such a big part of the game really puts me off
dunks, blocks, crossovers, game winners all what makes basketball so much better.
Revlo [#7]dunks,blocks, crossovers, game winners all what makes basketball so much better.
you have those in soccer too
psg barca remontada
barca liverpool 4-0
villa city title day
all these had amazing game winners

blocks and crossovers are better imo in basketball, dunks dont exist, and by game winners I mean buzzer beaters which also dont exist.

dunks dont exist
they do, they're called bicycle kicks, and they happen to be vastly more entertaining than nowadays boring dunks.
game winning goals, scored in the min 120+1 of a 120 min match, absolutely shit on buzzer beaters lol
basketball happens to be the best of the big sports in North America, but don't try to oversell it and make it seem something bigger than it is, because it is not. It has its place, and the whole world knows where that place is, below the king.
ionlyHave1Zuni [#8]Is basketball the one taylor Swift boyfrund plays in
Travis Kelce plays football, not basketball
Zaba [#9]Basketball good but football clears
Fr
My favorite team is the Dallas cowboys
What is yours?

PP12123213123 [#25]I remember watching the NBA Finals when the Heat seemed likely to lose the series. It was funny seeing the Heat fans still trying to dance with camera during timeouts lmao
U will never see anything like this in football
Asuna_Yuuki [#15]Travis Kelce plays football, not basketball
Does he play in the premier league or la liga
PP12123213123 [#26]U will never see anything like this in football
football is a culture, basketball is just something u watch when you have nothing better to do in your life
Revlo [#13]blocks and crossovers are better imo in basketball, dunks dont exist, and by game winners I mean buzzer beaters which also dont exist.
dunks. ronaldo vs juventus iconic header is like a dunk
buzzer beater appeals to children, there is effectively a buzzer beater when a goal is scored at 120+3 or something like this. same thing just less horns and flashing lights

vs juventus he had an iconic bicycle kick
the iconic header was vs atletico madrid I believe
Psion [#33]both are worse than hockey and baseball
Baseball is boring. used to go to SF Giants and Oakland A's games as a kid. Only good to grab beers and shoot the shit with friends going with you. Watching SJ Sharks live is fun though
jamONE [#35]Baseball is boring. used to go to SF Giants and Oakland A's games as a kid. Only good to grab beers and shoot the shit with friends going with you. Watching SJ Sharks live is fun though
of course going to oakland A's games is boring LOL. I'm at an atlanta native (16 years) and watching braves games is always fun.
Hockey is definitely more exciting than baseball though
PP12123213123 [#26]U will never see anything like this in football
Clearly u never watched football.. loool
AlexSMTxx [#27]Does he play in the premier league or la liga
Probably on some weird arabic team like meh sai
AstroGalaxy [#3]im gonna get downvoted like crazy but soccer is so fucking boring unless its world cup bro im not showing up
The fact that you said unless it's World Cup proofs you don't like ti because you don't have any passion for any football team. That's why you do like the World Cup because you do care
cartixuzi [#2]thats right brother!
American football best sport on the planet in terms of strategy, physicality, IQ, and athleticism. Playbooks are 10,000 pages long. Mfs are utilizing quantum mechanics just to score a touchdown
ionlyHave1Zuni [#39]Probably on some weird arabic team like meh sai
Yo wrong player bro edit quickly, neymar and ronaldo on Arabic team
AlexSMTxx [#27]Does he play in the premier league or la liga
He plays in the National football league

strategy and gameplan maybe but no way you believe AF is the best sport in terms of physicality and Athleticism you legit dont need to be athletic to play the game on a rather high level from what ive seen
edit: i have to say im not too experienced in AF but it also doesnt seem too hard to score a touchdown of course it depends on your opponents but idk
Mortadelo [#41]The fact that you said unless it's World Cup proofs you don't like ti because you don't have any passion for any football team. That's why you do like the World Cup because you do care
better than him being some plastic fan of a prem club like most americans who are into football

?????? Bruh you need to be incredibly fast and twitchy to be an NFL wide receiver and you need to jump high as fuck, you won't even get drafted if you run a 40 yard dash below 4.60 lol. And to be an NFL O lineman or D lineman you need to have a very strong base and long arms with power, alot of variety in terms of body type in the NFL.
ortuh [#48]better than him being some plastic fan of a prem club like most americans who are into football
Sure, but it still explains why he doesn’t like it

well you could also be overweight and play in the nfl as a doesnt have anything to do with athleticism of course some positions require different bodytypes and abilities but still look at rugby there I would say the players need an overall more athletic body for example its also extremely physical the need to be fast, jump etc.

World Cup just pulls on everyone's patriotic strings, a lot of people that I know who don't watch football outside the World Cup have no idea how the games works besides kicking the ball into the goal, doesn't really prove that you care much about the sport itself.

That's the point I'm trying to make here. That patriotic feeling that it's stronger than the feeling most people have for whatever team they follow in whatever sport they like it's very very common in Football. Idk how to explain it to you but it's almost a way of life for many people here to watch their team
I'm saying I understand you don't like the sport if you don't have that passion for it which is not that easily acquired

I'd say it's the most important sport in terms of coordinated team play and importance of a good division of labor. You need big tough guys on offense and defense (moreso than you do in hockey), players who can run, dodge people trying to tackle them, and understand where they need to be on the field for a given play. Your QB has to have an amazing arm and on the fly thinking, as well as being a good communicator between the coach and your teammates.
TDs / field goals are scored different than you probably think. Saying a TD is easy in the NFL is like saying it's easy to score a goal in football/soccer in champion's league.
I'm saying all this and I hardly even watch American football.

yes but i said in AF in general not in the NFL. And because of the breaks etc for me it never seemed so exhausting idk like i said i also dont have that much knowledge of AF but the body types seem extremely diverse

If you show up to training camp overweight, they give you 2 weeks to get in shape or you get cut lol

what do you mean by most important but i agree with you with the division of labor but the coordination imo isnt much more important/better than it is in other team sports it only has a higher ceiling of coordination because of the amount of pauses etc
Netero [#61]If you show up to training camp overweight, they give you 2 weeks to get in shape or you get cut lol
I heard of the exact opposite: often defensive players are being told to gain weight because it gives them the upper hand against less heavy opponents which is just unhealthy. I read it in an article in the new york times a while back I think.
my-dad-ate-my-toes [#57]Rugby clears both ong

nah man I know people who stand good chances in going pro at football and AF and AF kids are more athletic
