Any guess?? Me: London, Madrid or São Paulo again
ItsMeDio [#4]Korean, Europe, or SEA
Korea would be cool but it already hosts the league. Wonder if Riot one day would host an International event there
Warlordwibz [#3]London already have a history of VISA problem for Russia players (Team Liquid Red Bull Home Ground)
Hope won't be USA (SEA and Russian players VISA absentees).
if 2022 is all about Europe and 2023 Masters Tokyo (Asia), hope Singapore would be next (Asia time zone FTW).
Would Singapore have a good and full crowd tho? Genuine question. I think riot wants good crowd too
My initial guesses are that:
Ofc Sao Paulo is the opener and M1 is Japan
So I suspect one of three options: LA, Berlin, and Soeul. Why? Because I'm assuming M2 will be in Europe and whichever region performs the best (since riot is giving regional rewards for performance, like the winner of Sao Paulo gets another M1 slot) will get Champs in their own Region Hub. At least for the first year, it kinda makes sense. Easy to set up for players, fully prepared venues and casters.

There’s only one masters this year, and waiting for Sao Paulo’s results seems risky from a logistical perspective.

do u see how many singaporeans are on this site
jackb2016 [#5]Probs gonna be in Europe, that would give one event to each region
No
Europe doesnt get one this year i hope
Theyve hosted every single LAN so far, except for the one in turkey, but turkey is literally right next to europe anyway
either NA, BR, or another asia country will host

seoul looks like a good place for champs
spookmeister [#17]No

Ackshually, turkey is considered as part of Europe even though it only has a small part of it in Europe. So, literally every valorant lan has been held in Europe.

ok i looked it up
turkey is mostly in asia BUT
istanbul is in europe
so basically every FUCKING LAN HAS BEEN IN EUROPE
rito fix pls
avepalto [#20]seoul looks like a good place for champs
No, small Valorant fanbase and Pacific league is already held there
spookmeister [#24]ok i looked it up

Well actually, most part of Istanbul is not in Europe, if you wanna be technical you would have to check in which side on the Bosphorus strait the stadium was. But I’m pretty sure it was the Asian side
For the people who mentioned Madrid, my guess is if they wanted it here it would be in Barcelona since there's where Riot has it's offices. And honestly if it was to be in Europe I think it's pretty likely since Riot was about to do the VCT in Barcelona instead of Berlin, but teams complained since they were already established there for LEC
IMPERADOR [#10]Would Singapore have a good and full crowd tho? Genuine question. I think riot wants good crowd too
The thing is, after Champions 2022, considering Singapore is one of the more iconic Asian countries, and with first world infrastructure, do you not think that it will not be a full crowd? People will fly over here, you don't need just Singaporean bro.
If its in EU then its Spain likely. NA might have visa problems so I doubt they would have Masters there. "Masters 1" in South America(NA timezone as well), Masters 2 being in Japan, Asia and Champions in EU could make sense especially with potential visa problems.
But its also possible that Riot just says "fuck EMEA and Russians" and just have it in USA. Because they def want to make it big like how they invited bunch of people to Istanbul and this year is the start of Valorant esport in a way.
Qwertyy [#41]NA: NYC
EU: Rome, Madrid, Vienna?
APAC: Beijing, Mumbai?Edit: maybe paris for EMEA?
Don’t try an edit to make me look stupid
not5kin [#14]There’s only one masters this year, and waiting for Sao Paulo’s results seems risky from a logistical perspective.
Is there only one masters? Really? That would be so wack in terms of points and everything, no time for teams to recover mid season.
Pengu12 [#47]Don’t try an edit to make me look stupid
i didnt try to make you look stupid. your take was perfectly fine, just your reply made me come back to the thread and I thought of paris :)

who is lan and why are you fucking them in europe
haizzz [#16]do u see how many singaporeans are on this site
Is that really the metric you're using? The amount of Singaporeans on a single website?
PRLV [#6]probably Los Angeles if russian players can get Visa (riot wanted to host 2021 champs there but never could due to covid)
Ardiis isnt russian and he still aint got a visa.
Can you imagine how bad it would be for the russian players?
No more absentees in the biggest tournaments please.
So until they stop their bullshit with visas, skip the US, the UK, other eu countries that are annoying about it.
Best for everyone would be an asian country thats not being a bitch about russian professional visas.
KyLZi [#46]Sydney
I know the audience for IEM Sydney in CS:GO is really good, but would that translate well for Valorant?
Bronze-Smurf [#2]no way they keep anything in Brazil after the major shitshow
well guess where the kickoff is ??
Qwertyy [#50]i didnt try to make you look stupid. your take was perfectly fine, just your reply made me come back to the thread and I thought of paris :)
Ok ❤️
The list of biggest cities in the world
1 - Tokyo - Japan
2 - Delhi - India
3 - Shanghai - China
4 - São Paulo - Brazil
5 - Mexico City - Mexico
Russian players have a Visa problem for the USA, and Mexico is also NA. Masters in Japan already (Asia), Kickoff in Brazil (South America), and perhaps Mexico next as NA?
@edit
I think that India is also on the radar thinking about the Harbor agent and the next map is going to be India right?
Mortadelo [#34]Well actually, most part of Istanbul is not in Europe, if you wanna be technical you would have to check in which side on the Bosphorus strait the stadium was. But I’m pretty sure it was the Asian side
the venue was the volkswagen arena, which is on the european side of istanbul.

nahh it's far from cheap . Even dota TI prices were like 500sgd+
with 8% gst my daily drinks costs even more now
Bronze-Smurf [#2]no way they keep anything in Brazil after the major shitshow
people outside of brazil literally say this shit and no matter how hard people who actually knows what happened explains it, they still throwing shit and spreading misinformation because like 10k people or more were out of the stadium watching it with gaules but just because they werent into it then that means it was a bad crowd LMAO
IMPERADOR [#10]Would Singapore have a good and full crowd tho? Genuine question. I think riot wants good crowd too
Singapore already has a good amount of Fans out there, also it's accessibility is somewhat similar to UAE ,hence It's arguably one of the most convenient locations in Asia
Scar98 [#31]No, small Valorant fanbase and Pacific league is already held there
smaller than Copenhagen or Reykjavík, just to name some cities?
avepalto [#98]smaller than Copenhagen or Reykjavík, just to name some cities?
Reykjavík was because of covid and making it in Copenhagen was a mistake, it doesn't justify chosing a bad city again
Sanchik [#94]Penza, Russia

Changing my answer. I want it in this dude's bedroom.

You're crazy if you think they'll host an event in Russia or Belarus right now. Amsterdam or Cologne would be lit though. Or maybe even Katowice or Krakow for Poland.

Bruh That's because it's setup by valve, if you remember riots ticket prices in other countries, you convert to SGD loh
