We already know champs 2026 is going to be in China otherwise I would have believed you 100%
GE could pick up the 5 best players in the world and greatest coach, give them the ability to psychically communicate with one another so no language barrier, and they would still somehow go 3-9 that org is cursed
nah losing to fut is an L
wait is zander the m80 igl or is it someone else
i mean it puts pressure on m80, they might now feel like they have to win the series in 3 out of 4 maps as opposed to 3/5 but then again i am not a coach
wait is that even allowed? i thought juicy couldn't play on bleed this year because he was <18 even though he won and that's why they signed yay?
wait will any of them turn 18 before season starts next year, i assume at least one will or they wouldn't have bothered with this roster
the thing is i don't trust bbl or fut to pick up the pcific players so winning is maybe their only shot at t1, on the other hand everyone will be fiending to sign kaajak and soulcas even if apeks lose
bbl probably won't pick up comeback or rose, but a lot of teams will certainly pick up kaajak and soulcas, so rooting for pcific
good bait but just in case you're actually being serious, riot's franchising rules dictate that you need to be 18 to play tier 1, a rule that did not exist in 2022
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been trapped in the year 2023
Consider the global esports effect: texture and monyet were on GE last year and then went kind of insane this year, maybe they just need a role change lmao
thanks, this is actually pretty interesting to look at. i still wouldn't personally say that the numbers are big enough to justify your sentiment that most people in kr who would be good already play valorant, but we can agree to disagree.
i don't really think we have enough of a sample size of ow players to say for sure that the transition is easier for them. sure back in 2021 it was definitely easier to transition from cs, but i genuinely think that in 2024 with how much the meta has shifted towards setup plays dumping massive amounts of utility (play that one clip of the guy watching eg v prx on bind and having no clue what is happening), players who understand ability usage more will start to thrive aka overwatch players. of course, this is just what a nobody like myself thinks about it, i am not an expert.
point still stands, there are a lot of talented people across regions who get funneled into different games simply because the culture is different. americas players into r6 (from my understanding) and cod, emea players into cs, apac players into ow and mobile games, cn players into whatever games are legal in china because they have the firewall to deal with. every region has talent that could kick ass if they transferred into valorant, we just do not know, and we can't know. so we compare the players we've got.
i actually would like numbers on this because the number of people watching korean vct, both before and after franchising, does NOT line up with your statement. maybe the casual community is higher but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding interest in the pro scene
I mean you could say this for Korea too, something like “The moment they lose interest in Overwatch we’re all cooked.” Excuses don’t mean shit, results do
I remember copenhagen being good too
Benkai returns to paper rex and polvi gets picked up by koi. Both teams place top 3 at a LAN next year. The GE tradition must continue
Not saying you're wrong but doesn't league have the same issue, especially since there are so many agents in league and you need to plan around things like agent bans? If the LCK can do it, what separates Valorant from being able to? (not asking rhetorically i want to learn)
Got baited but I don’t even know if he’s the biggest representative because benjyfishy is very well known. Would also like to say that you don’t stay on a team for four years without bringing at least some value to the table. He’s clearly a talented igl and it’s not like he is incapable of hitting shots
Aware that this is bait but still feel the need to clarify that c9 were knocked out by team liquid actually
every single opening match was amer vs apac and eu vs cn, rigged af
we won't stand for this bracket rigging anymore rito >:((((
FPX vs PRX map 5, breeze. Seeing that comp, thinking prx were completely throwing, and then watching them make it a close game with some incredibly creative util usage and disgusting shots from both teams, into the most insane final round of a LAN to date.
Gotta swap Trace and Bilibili
Me when I’m in a not-getting-the-joke competition and my opponent is Prancer 😱
you definitely weren't watching valorant in 2021 huh
I remember Onur said he wanted to do it earlier, this is a great chance
In all honesty eg deserved to win champs but prx should have won masters Tokyo EASILY and got robbed harder than fpx at Reykjavik, we just don’t talk about it because THEY STILL FINISHED THIRD. What they did is the equivalent of Sen picking up Ziptie as a replacement for Zekken and still winning Madrid
I want trace to lock in but I have a sinking feeling that this is ag’s game to lose and I can’t explain it
I’m sorry, and we don’t think Mini hard carried Boaster with that logic? I don’t personally think either were “carried” but I don’t get how you can apply this to one and not the other
Boostio on top in 2023 because he became the first igl to beat the second place curse
You’re correct but only because CN ON TOP BABY ALL CN GRAND FINALS INCOMING GET READY FOR BLG VS FPX
Tbf sen and lev can definitely do it, sentinels were visibly burnt out in split 1 and got some much needed rest (tbf maybe shouldn’t have try harded all the t2 events as much as they did) while lev have made coaching changes and look much better now, so they have shown visible improvement from Shanghai
china is hella fun to watch tbh, plus if nrg and bilibili miraculously qualify it'll be REALLY funny
keznit igling scares me but mta is an excellent player
incorrect the dinosaur era is back actually, patitek lakia tenz all going crazy. plus sentinels and heretics as teams were both good in 2020/21, and got back into prime form this year
Never mind just checked NRG is wrong too, apparently I could in fact be bothered, I just want to know what the point of this is
Not only do I not understand the point of this, it’s straight up wrong, if sentinels beat c9, then c9 would have only 5 wins, and I can’t be bothered to check the other errors that are undoubtedly present
Onur tried to DM GE’s owner about potentially coaching them but the owner didn’t check his DMs lmao. That’s probably why they picked onur
I genuinely think it was a drx strat where they keep the only player that can challenge them on the bench so they keep winning ong, drx did this with either lakia, king, or both of them idr
Celeste is 90% off if you somehow haven’t played it yet
banana milk is pretty good imo, but otherwise it's not great
